  1. God, if we trade Josh and Al to Orlando, AND Dwight walks after the year.. I'm going to be sick to my stomach having to watch those 2 beat us 4 times a year.
  2. Judging by number 4, I'd say this is a Diesel original! :)
  3. Right, I think we were saying the same thing. If no one is open to pass to under the basket, and for whatever reason you don't call a timeout (I think we did have one left), the best alternative is to get it as far down court as possible with someone touching it. I think that's what Josh was trying to do, but just got a little too excited. On a similar note, we had a 9 point lead with 2 minutes left, and the Hawks still managed to make it exciting, and had themselves in a position to almost lose. This team REALLY needs to learn how to close games.
  4. Yeah, if Willie Green had not caught up to it, and nobody touched it, the Suns would have gotten the ball under their own basket down by 2 with I think 1.7 left, which would have been an absolute disaster. Smart play by Josh, though, since the Suns didn't have any timeouts left, but just strong-armed it a little.
  5. Yeah that was brutal to watch.. plus a few stupid decisions like Teague trying to go behind the back on a fast break and have it go out of bounds off his own foot. This would have been a nice win to have, especially with the D playing pretty well.
  6. This is how you respond accordingly as a professional: Paul Millsap: Al Jefferson: Kyle Lowry: Ryan Anderson: Brandon Jennings: I'm sure all of these guys feel shitty about getting snubbed like Josh - but they handled it with grace. What Josh did is only reinforcing the public perception of him, which is probably why the coaches didn't pick him in the first place.
  7. What he did absolutely was unprofessional and immature. I'm not saying he didn't deserve to be an all-star, because he most certainly did. But what was he accomplishing by complaining to the media? If you didn't get a bonus or a promotion at work, how would you look if you reacted by coming out and PUBLICLY complaining about your employer and blaming it on "politics"? You would most certainly look unprofessional and even borderline selfish. Other people are already doing the talking about how he got snubbed - he should of left it that way.
  8. Although what he is saying isn't necessarily false, I agree it is a little unprofessional to verbalize it in the media. It also seems like he is calling out Coach Drew a little bit for not working harder to lobby him into the game, which is disappointing.
  9. Zach Randolph is out until early March, so we won't see him this season!
  10. Definitely agree with this, that it starts at home. Don't forget probably the smallest market in the entire NBA and maybe the most engaged fan base, Oklahoma City, gets plenty of national media attention and love, and has a great chance to be in and win the championship this year.
  11. Wanted to add - back in FIRST in the Southeast Division!
  12. Great game tonight by Joe and Josh! Joe should be able to body his way into the lane on every possession instead of settling for the 20 ft fadeaway like he so often does. Just a dominant 4th quarter by him, and HUGE three by Josh (and 2 FT's!!) to close the game. Jeff dominated the first quarter, but pretty much disappeared after that. He finished with six turnovers. I didn't catch why they didn't put Bogut back in the game for pretty much the last 15 minutes of the game? Was it because the unit they had out there was playing so well?
  13. I wish I could have had the Bulls feed on last night's game - was anybody able to listen to Stacey King with his tail in between his legs?
  14. Marvin had only a grade-1 ankle sprain (mildest), so he should be ready to go soon, missing at most tomorrow's game against the Nets. Like Dolfan said, the only disappointing thing from last night's game was when the 2nd unit was put in the game up around 26-28, and in about 4 minutes or so, it was down to 12-14 and LD had to put the starters back in. But the bright spot is, Hinrich should be a major boost to the bench defensively and as a competent PG, and Vlad will be back with that 2nd unit (assuming Marvin's not injured). Willie Green is showing he can knock down the spot up jumper consistently, and even showed some signs of being able to create his own shot too. I think we're in good shape!
  15. At this point, with our schedule (first game of a back-to-back-to-back), I don't even care about the Hawks beating them at full strength. If Wade and LeBron are out, the Heat become a team about on par with the Nets and Wizards, so hopefully if they are out, the Hawks can put them away early on national TV and save their legs for Friday and Saturday.
  16. Yup, I was watching on the NBATV feed as well, and damn he was getting on my nerves. I get the other team's announcers more often than Bob and Nique, and I generally don't mind the obvious homer-ism from some announcers (Celtics color guy is pretty bad too), but when he started putting down Teague and Horford (among others) that crossed the line. Just another reason I'm glad we don't play the Bulls more often!
  17. Yup, every team has at least one back-to-back-to-back this condensed season.
  18. If he can stay healthy, MAN was he a good pickup for the vet minimum.
  19. Same things can be said about Yao's time in Houston, but I can't begin to imagine the Houston crowd booing him. Not quite sure what their beef is with him, especially since the Rockets traded him rather than him leaving as a free agent.
  20. Speaking of JJ, this is apparently what he drives! http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Everyone-look-at-Joe-Johnson-8217-s-giant-truck?urn=nba-wp5970
  21. Great read!! Sounds like a great person, and he'll definitely be easy to root for. Unfortunate for him that he couldn't get the multi-year deal from the Hawks that he talked about wanting - I wonder if the music industry in Atlanta had any influence in his decision to leave LA. Either way, he has the work ethic of a winner, and for only a million dollars, he's a bargain signing!
  22. If you go here they'll likely have a working link by the time the game comes: http://atdhe.net/ No special software should be needed!
  23. Hey Dolfan! Something I noticed today - clicking on the tabs in a user profile (About Me, Topics, Posts, Blog, Gallery) results in an 'Action Failed' dialog box.
