  1. we can alert the Official Hawks tweeters by posting @username along with a message since you only get 140 characters it gets a big tricky something along the lines of this: "@Atlanta_Hawks @sekousmith01 @langwhitaker @johnhollinger @HawksPRMan Check out www.Hawksquawk.net, the biggest Atl Hawks Fansite" feel free to add whoever you want to get this notice in the tweet this will basically send the feed to each person's "replies" if the person is not following you. Usually the more popular the person is, the more the tweet can be buried and overlooked due to many tweets sent to this user. I find this the reason to why many people try to keep their follows to a minimum, many of them do reply back to some of the tweets. I suggest we put the website up on the Bio section of the profile and also a bit of what we're about on there
  2. I was thinking the same thing... unless someone signs Chillz to a 10 million $ contract
  3. I dont think Bowen is the guy the Bucks are trading b/c they're trying to save money and his contract is non-guaranteed. thats where they're saving money. I think they're trying to us Kurt Thomas for Chillz which I think would be better cuz it gives us another banger in the post.
  4. the lead "girl" must be popular in there...
  5. here's a couple of things on twitter you can tag "@TheHawkSquawk" or "#TheHawkSquawk" on your tweets every time u post a new thread so u can search "@TheHawksquawk" on twitter and the link will be there... by using "@" before the user name it notifies the account user u have mentioned them in a tweet hope this helps
  6. yeah that would probably be the best way to maintain the account. Let me know if you need any help with it
  7. Think of Twitter as a Mass Text Messenger. Every time you tweet you're basically sending a text to each person following you. I have my twitter account linked to my phone. I follow Micah Hart, Zaza, Sekou, Chillz & Speedy, every time they tweet its sent to my phone via text message. You can also tweet via text message also
  8. it has to be the person that created it, which is going to require a lot of keeping up with new threads... twitter is very simple and there's really nothing much to it, the only thing that people can do who follow us on there is either: Follow Us, Tweet, and ReTweet.
  9. I think to have a successful twitter page for Hawksquawk, we can basically do what most blog sites do with their twitter account and just post the URL of new posts in tweets, and "Retweet" Hawks related gotten from players or anyone from the organization. If you wanna get fancy you can even "tweet" any NBA or Sports related news also
  10. People still use Myspace? lol Jk but yeah we have a Facebook Group http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#...2362&ref=ts
  11. Elected means a starter right? I think Dikembe was the last one
  12. salaries aren't going to match... no NBA team will give Chillz 10mil a year (Which is roughly what each Camby & Kaman will make this year)
  13. I wish our Blue was dark enough to where it looks black, but not quite
  14. don't play with my emotions like that LOL
  15. Bass would be good, but I like Leon Powe. He's coming off an injury and the Celtics might not even resign him. He also might come cheap b/c of the injury. He gives us a low post presence. I would be more concerned about keeping Zaza though... looks like Houston is going hard at Gortat
  16. Vortex burgers are pretty dope! EARL & 5 Guys are right there too I've been wanting to try Ann's Snack Shack, but I've heard she has rules if you want to eat at her place.... something along the lines of only a certain amount of people at a certain time and no cursing...
  17. LOL @Marvins_booty but yeah Follow Me here https://twitter.com/SofaKingEvil
  18. Alade Aminu from GT should definitely get an invite and he's hometown kid, Garret Siler of Augusta state & Heytvelt should all battle it out all three are different players though Aminu is more of an athletic big, Siler is the big bruiser type, Heytvelt is more of the jump shooting big
  19. I've seen Siler play the past 2 years, He's Slow, but he's big, tough, and a banger. He supposedly lost 25 lbs so he should be quicker than the last time I saw him. he's an Average rebounder, would probably battle Randolph Morris for the 3rd string Center position. Only thing is we dont even have a 2nd string center....
  20. wow just watched the vid... he's lost a good bit of weight there, when I saw him play he was very chunky, and didnt move too well. He's a Decent rebounder, Defense is a bit suspect (due to slow footedness, but losing the weight probably helps in this department) he does shoot a high %, but I'm not too sure that will translate to the NBA too well since he was playing Division 2 college competition and most of the centers here are 6'7-6'8. He's the same age as Randolph Morris, but looks like he's willing to work hard. Should be interesting to see them two battle it out
  21. I've seen Siler play the past 2 seasons.... I HOPE NOT!!!
  22. I've seen Garret Siler play the past 2 years now when they played us... he's huge, but doesn't move too well. Decent rebounder, Defense is suspect, but he does shoot a high %, but I'm not too sure that will translate to the NBA too well. I think he drops out the whole draft all together, and can be picked up as an undrafted rookie. He's the same age as Randolph Morris and doesn't seem to be any better. He is about 40lbs bigger though and would probably good for taking up space and fouls, but that's it.
