  1. So Chicago has fallen in love with Crawford? Shoot offer them dickau/1st for jay willams!!! He is a great kid and has amazing potential. He is just in a bad situation with Chicago
  2. I think the falcons take Ken Hamlin in the 2nd if he's there with the void at FS.
  3. TJ Ford won't work for us IF we plan on keeping JT. That backcourt would be way to small. I think we mainly need to get some bench of help from the draft. Some big bangers wouldn't hurt and we could use a 3 pt shooter off of the bench. I think we should get a veteran PG from FA, so I don't PG is a good option to draft.
  4. Yeah I liked your site a lot. There really aren't too great of Falcons sites around. I would def. be interested if you made a falcon's site.
  5. It has been rumored that the falcons will select Anquan Bolden out of FSU if he is still aviable in the 2nd round. The Falcons were "thrilled" when he had a bad workout. He could become an elite possesion guy. Sort of like David Boston, but not with the problems. I don't know if I would feel comfortable selecting him with our defensive needs, but our offense would be set. This isn't too good of a draft for CB's, so I think it would be a great pick considering this. If we can sign a big NT and a veteran corner we would be in great position. Next year we would have to go all out for a great corner though. It would probably be a bigger need than our WR was this year considering big play ray will be older. I hope Bolden and Carpenter can make complete recoveries. If they can't if Ken Hamlin or I think Bethume Mathis? are aviable in the 2nd I would grab them, but I doubt they will be esp. Mathis as his stock has been rising greatly over the past few weeks.
  6. Brooking vs. Spikes This is very close IMO. I give it slightly to brooking b/c he is normally very good in pass coverage although he a couple of times he looked silly trying to cover people, but noramlly he is excellent. Price vs. Mathis Now? Price by 10 miles. In both of their primes? Still price easily. They are different WR's though. Mathis is a possesion guy. Price is the great deep threat we have lacked since Tony Martin. This element to our offense got us to the super bowl. But we didn't have Mike Vick then. Price is also easily better than Martin was in our superbowl run.
  7. I know for a FACT that this stuff is goes on all the time, but nobody talks about it. I am SHOCKED Tony Cole went public about this. Realize this will affect more than just UGA, but new rules and policies will probably result from this situation.
  8. The Raptors would be retarted to make that trade
  9. This guy would be perfect for us. He is one of the most talented guys in the NBA.... what would it take to get him??? Maybe... Dog/Nazr for Artest?
  10. RealGm is reporting the blazers and heat are greatly interested in JT. some rumored trades include: JT/Hendu for E.Jones/B.Grant The Blazers will trade anyone but Randolph and Sheed
  11. Saw this on RealGM.... I think this is a good trade Hawks get: Jamal Crawford Ervin Johnson Hawks give: Mohammed Dickau Bulls get: Nazr Mohammed Dan Dickau Bulls give: Crawford Blount Hoiberg Bucks get: Corie Blount Fred Hoiberg Bucks give: EJ WHY IT COULD WORK FOR THE HAWKS: Crawford is a big PG who can play with JT in the backcourt. He would give Atlanta a much needed 2nd ball handler in the starting line-up. Ervin Johnson is a decent backup C. HAWKS LINE-UP: PG-Crawford/Wilks SG-Terry/Glover C-Ratliff/Johnson SF-Dog/Newble/Ham PF-Reef/Hendu WHY IT COULD WORK FOR THE BULLS: Mohammed is a solid C with good lowpost moves. Cartwright would like to have a guy like him around. Dickau is a fine replacement for Crawford as the backup PG. BULLS LINE-UP: PG-JWill/Dickau SG-Hassell/E-Rob C-Chandler/Mohammed/Curry SF-Rose/Fizer PF-Marshall/Baxter WHY IT COULD WORK FOR THE BUCKS: They dump Johnson's contract and get back 2 expiring deals. That will save them another 3 million dollars(6 mill from a luxary tax standpoint).
  12. JT/GROB/Nazr/1st for Nash/Finley/Griffin This trade would fix all of our problems. Nash/Finley/Griffin/SAR/Theo We would have a true backcourt with size. We would be a much better defensive team. We would have more outside shooting. We are more athletic. We cut down on TO's. Would dallas do this? Nazr would help them greatly. I think GRob and Dirk would play greatly together, but they are a pretty bad defensive team now. Throwing a first could make them bite on it. What do you think?
  13. The only problem with Richardson is he shoots a very low FG % and doesn'y play any defense. I am not confident enough in Dickau to trade JT as of now.
  14. [censored] no. That would be giving up. Pippen and Anderson are getting old fast. While we may be able to get O'Neal, if we don't we are in very bad shape. I think there is going to be a big trade coming by reading what Babcock is saying.
  15. Would anyone here do this trade? Rose/Crawford/Hoiberg for Email/Hendu/Glover/CC Why Chicago does this.... The Bulls get Glover who can take over for Rose. After all, Rose and Crawford are on their way out. Hendu provides a seasoned vet forward who can guide curry and chandler... Email can help JWill and Crawford could help them with depth. Why we do this..... Rose can be everything we need at the 2. We need athletes, which is an expectional athlete. He is a slasher that we need... he helps us with ballhandling. He can hit the open shoot, and gives us more height in the backcourt. In Crawford we get a big PG, who could be a great backup which we need greatly. Hoiberg could be a shooter off of the bench sort of like Walt Willams
  16. Eat it Joe Horn.... maybe he will say he got food posioning this time lol
  17. Actually Cassell is a better PG than JT, but the rest of those comparsions are correct.
  18. great win for atlanta!!! this one came down to the end.... i was very surprised by reeve's play calling at the end... he put dunn at QB and faked a reverse to vick who was at wr.... then he went for 4th and 4 at the 30 to put the game away where he could of just had feely take a field goal! totally different play calling on the last drive, but it was refreshing to see.....
  19. This is a huge weekend for football..... There are many great football games both pro and college that I think would be fun to predict: NFL: Falcons vs. Ravens Vick will destroy the a Ravens defense missing Ray Lewis and Michael McCracy. The Falcons Defense will put the clamps down on a Raven's offense that is just plain bad and is missing starting QB Chris Redman. Falcons 28-10 Raiders vs. 49ers Garica and Co will destroy the Raiders. The Raiders and missing a bunch of players on defense, but should be able to score plenty of points. This will be a shootout. 49ers 35-34 Dolphins vs. Packers I'm sure Dolfan won't be happy about this, but it is time for the annual meltdown of the phins'. Add Ahman Green and Brett Farve in a freezing Lambue Field at night and you get trouble. Pack 24-17 NCAA: UGA vs. Florida This will finally be the year UGA knocks off Florida. This bulldog team is the most talented one in a long time, maybe ever. The Bulldogs will get alot of key players back from injuries, and they shouldn't get too bad of a scare. Dawgs 42-28 Yellow Jackets vs. NC State NC State is too talented... Tech has many injuries.. should be close though WolfPack 34-27 Nebraska vs. Texas Nebraska has had a down year this year, but has finally started to shape up, look for them to finish strong. Texas always messes up Nebraska's seasons.... this time Texas gets some of its own medicine. Huskers 24-21
  20. Here is a list of things the Falcon's should do this offseason that I think have a good chance of happening: Fire Reeves and hire a offensive head coach who can utilize Vick, Dunn, Duckett, etc Sign a big play WR.... TO, Boston, Holt are all free agents.... I would target TO, and maybe try to sign a guy like Peerless Price who would be a perfect fit with a start playing with him like he has now in Buffalo Move Brooking back to OLB.... this guy is incredibly fast and can tackle with the best of them, but he can simply not play MLB... he just cannot seem to shed blockers, and I do not see him as a playmaker like Lewis or Urlacher..... if he wants that kind of $$$ show him the door Sign Takeo Spikes.... this guy is fed up with the Bengals.... he is a pro bowl calibur player, but doesn't get any attention in Cincy... I have a feeling he would like to come back to ATL Draft EJ Henderson.... he is a great MLB, and can be a playmaker and eventual perrinal pro bowler, and contribuate as a rookie.... draft a SS in the 2nd to 3rd round.... there is some great safety talent in this draft that will no doubt be overlooked.... I am actually pretty content with Keion Carpenter at FS, but overall with need more talent here Figure out this RB situation... Duckett should be the full time back, Dunn can be used as a 3rd down pass reciving back and we could him 10 or so touches a game in that role and he would be very effective..... it is soo hard to share the role as a running back b/c you can never get into the rythm.... like Dunn said if a RB gets his touches, he will break one. Just look what happened aganist New Orleans. Also the O Line suffers from constantly changing from different RB's especailly with the contrast in running styles with Dunn and Duckett Post your ideas/thoughts/opinions.... I will post more later
  21. If Duckett does not play, which is pretty doubtful, I would bet the Falcons would throw the ball a whole lot more than usual. I would expect Vick to get most of the yards on the ground as well. Vick will have to have a great game, I really don't think the Saints can contain, and I think we will go crazy on their subpar defense. The Falcons can't rely on Dunn to get steady yardage on the ground, so I would hope Reeves would get creative and run a few trick plays. I think that Dunn will play the kind of role that he did againist the Giants. He killed them on little dump offs and when he had some room, he got some nice yardage. I also think that our defense will do pretty well aganist the Saints. If we can get the kind of pass rush that we did last week, we will be in great shape. Either way, we will at least contain them and they won't have a huge game. I think this will be a close game somewhere around 24-17, and I think the Falcons can take this game if they well and have a good gameplan. I also think the Saints might be looking past us just a little bit with all of the media coverage they have been getting. That would give us an advantage. I think that the game will be in won in Special teams, where we are probably the best unit in the league, and which team makes the fewest mistakes. Vick has thrown 0 ints this year, and I don't see him throwing one tommorrow. He will have to do a good job protecting the ball though. If you have watched the Saints, a lot of their offense gets going when their defense causes a turnover, so if we can stay free of those we will have a chance to win.
  22. Is anyone in Ga coming to the game this friday? ESPN is having their camera crew come cuz highlights will be on Sportscenter! I go to Norcross and last year we came the closest to beating parkview of any team since their 36 game winning streak. We lost by two in their home stadium, but the officals gave us a screw job. Parkview is ranked 2nd nationally, but this year the game is at Norcross... This will be a great game and our students will be going crazy.... I think we are gonna snap their winning streak this year!
  23. I am most likely the most knowledgeable Duke Basketball fan around, so let me offer my opinion of this trade. Shane Battier is an excellent player. He accells in all parts of the game especially the little things. This guy takes charges left and right, is practically impossible to score on, is a great shooter/team player/passer, etc, etc. This guy can do everything and is a great guy( I have met him and talked to him), but I do not think as of now, he could play the two very well. The one area he needs to work on in his game is shooting off of the dribble... he would have average/slightly below average ballhandling skills for a 2 in this league. Even when you consider that the Hawks have below average ballhandlers at the guard position, you without a doubt make this trade, but ONLY if we get a decent replacement for Nazr. Shane has one of the best work ethics you will ever see, and I am confident that in a year, he could be a great 2 in this leauge. Given, the fact that we would not need him to create his own shoot often, you definatly make this trade. He can do so much for us... this would be a great trade and I think we would be a team in the mold of the Kings except we would be better. Look at the matchups if this trade happens: PG: JT vs. Bibby Edge- JT SG- Battier vs. Christe Edge- Battier SF- Big Dog vs. Pedjag Edge- Big Dog PF- Reef vs. CWebb Edge- Debatable, but I will take Reef C- Theo vs. Valde Edge- Heathly Theo, but if Theo is hurt a little about even
