  1. Quote: You are just a puss.y, pure and simple. When your team loses you are like... Then you try to crow when they win. I bet you weren't even a Suns fan until Nash got there. Chump. If your team is so strong how come the Hawks beat you in Phoenix and were in it to the end last night? I was a Suns fan since I was born in Phoenix- 25 years ago. And I don't know how they won in Phoenix even without Nash and Diaw being gimpy from a back injury. I wrecked my brain thinking of how-why would God do this to me. I suffered at work and didn't even want to be around my woman. After countless hours of thought, it dawned on me that it had to be an act of God to allow such a rare event.
  2. First and foremost, what I said a couple of weeks ago was tongue-in-cheek. Sorta like any NBA player saying that they would love to play for the Hawks, but thats not tongue in cheek- its a flat out lie. You all were so desperate that you took it as a bet or something. I didn't bet anything. Secondly, a fairweather fan I am not. I'll be with my team to the end. Unlike some fans on here. I was uber pissed when my team lost to the Hawks. It was as if the world ended and I went into a state of depression and didn't read/listen to/or watch any sports for a week. But since that has passed, I am back to normal now. I spent a few hours last night reading the threads that I missed starting from the last game between the Hawks and Suns. I see that I was being talked about and laughed at. Pretty hilarious that Hawks fans would laugh at a Suns fan. Thats like the special olympics winner laughing at Carl Lewis. But I'm back now. Depressed no more.
  3. DAYUM Amare! Don't do Bubba Gump like that!!! GOT DAYUM!!! http://nba-boss.streamos.com/wmedia/nba/nb.../pod_070225.asx
  4. Quote: Well we definitely have a chance to win this game because much like Golden St., the Suns play ZERO defense. We shouldn't have problems scoring but stopping their offense is a whole different story. We'll see tonight! Go Hawks! Good observation. The Suns are top 10 in defensive effenciency and Golden State is 23 and the Hawks are 18th. Golden State is just like the Suns! More ownage? If you say so. -Hawks allow 46% field goal percentage, the Suns 45% -Opponents shoot 33% from the 3 against the Suns- 3rd in the league. Against the Hawks teams shoot 36%- 22nd worst. -Suns, best point differential. Hawks, 27th worse point differential. Quote: Actually I'd keep Smoove on Marion and Lo Wright on Amare. Although Lo can't keep up with him speed wise, he is probably the strongest player on our team and could bang with Amare down low. I would also like to see how Shelden does against him Yes please put Lo Wright on the best lowpost player/fastest most athletic big man/superstar in the NBA so he can go for 40. And my God, if you put the biggest top 5 bust in the last ten years on Amare he might go for 60. Quote: However I do like the Hawks' chances tonight due to what I saw from them in the Golden State game. I was very suprised to see Atlanta put up that many points If the Hawks win this game I will never post on this forum again. MVP or no MVP, its virtually impossible for such an occurance to happen. It would be like a boy throwing a rock at a tank and the tank falling over.
  5. Quote: again, chill continues to be underrated he has the highest impact on our team in terms of +/- and 2nd in roland ratings after jj...teams score 5.8 points LESS per 100 possessions and we score over 2 more points per 100 when he's on the court he outplays his opps at both sg and sf as well by +3.6 and +4.5 he shoots 51.7% from the floor and 82% from the line his assist to turnovers when passing is 5.3 he moves without the ball and gets lots of points in the paint...in fact, 63% of his attempts are close/dunks/tips...only 37% are jump shots...and he shoots at least 55.6% efg when shooting close or dunking or tipping...so the majority of his points are in the paint, something this team needs he shoots 4.6 fts per 48mins his efficiency is +16.93 his stat line is 12.7pts/6.4rbs/2.2ass/1.1st/.8bl/1.28to/2.3pf in 36mpg on 51.7% fg, 39.5% 3pt, 82% ft he's a smart player who would have even better lines if he hadn't gotten injured in crunch time, he draws 9 fta/48 he is 100% in dunks/tips and 66.7% in close shots...those 3 types make up 64% of his attempts in crunch time he's played 56% of the crunch time minutes that the team has had for the year (even tho he was injured) and we have a net of +15 points when he plays in crunch time over the opponents our offense per 48 in crunch time with him on the floor is 104.7pts/48 and we only allow our opps to score at a rate that would be 91.2pts/48...we are 6-4, for a 60% win percent in games where he plays in crunch time he also averages 2.7 blk/48 during crunch time ...But Amare would dunk on him.
  6. I don't mean to reign on the parade, but a shot of realism is needed here. Wayyyyy too much kool-aid being drunk here. Everyone of those teams are 1) in the playoffs except Golden State and they are close to an 8th seed and 2) in the Western Conference, the best conference by FAR. The Hawks aren't going to beat any one of those teams. Not 1. Not one team. It would take a massive dose of injuries for the Hawks to even play any of those teams to a close game. And the gull of Frosgrim to say that the Hawks will beat the Suns TWICE if Nash is injured is almost criminal. Even if Nash, Stoudemire, and Marion were injured the Suns would still make it close because of Barbosa and Boris. You guys don't have a chance in hell of winning the next game, Nash or not. Blowout city if I ever seen one. I can't wait till friday.
  7. {Shakes head} Hawks fans, what a funny bunch. -The Suns did not expect Stoudemire to become so good so fast. He's going to be a 20-10 guy before the all-star break, maybe 25-10 by the end of the season. For a player recovering from microfracture surgery thats incredible. Because of this, Diaw hasn't had to carry the team much like he did in the playoffs last year. And no one on the Suns team is unhappy about this. Amare is, and always will be our franchise player. -Diaw has had to give up a few rebounds to Stoudemire inside, and naturally give up a few points as well. However Boris is still just as important on this team as he is the second distrubuter and ball handler for the Suns in this offense. He does most of his work when Nash sits down, which is vital. You see, Boris isn't a stat hound like a certain player. Winning comes FIRST, and he'll do whatever it takes for the team to win. If he needs to score more in a game, he'll do it. If he needs to rebound more, he'll do it. He's the Suns biggest secret weapon, and thats why we have the second best record in the league right now. -Boris contract does not kick in until NEXT season, so saying he is overpaid is ridiculous. He makes 2 million this season. And even if his numbers are similar next season, he still would be way too important of a player for someone to think take him lightly. Stats are definately not a barometer to judge Boris by this season, especially with Amare now taking over. Anyone that watches Suns games would know this. He does much more for the team than what shows in a box score. -Boris is the starting power forward, Marion is the small forward. -Anyone that still holds a grudge against Boris because he would not play for a dog-dumb head coach like Woodson has a bone for a brain and shouldn't be allowed to drive. I wouldn't want anyone I know playing for the Bad News Bear's coach either. -I love how you guys talk smack about Boris, yet he's the same player that tore your team a new one last year. How soon do you all forget. But you'll remember soon. As I'm sure Boris will. -Better to be overpaid 1 million, than overpaid 15 million and still can't lead a team to an 8th seed.
  8. {Points towards God} You da man!! You da man!!! A look back in time... "I deserve to be an all star as much as them"- Joe Johnson, speaking to a friend shortly after discovering he wasn't selected as an all star and Nash, Marion, and Stoudemire was. "Look, I can't stay here. I'm sick of being Nash's decoy in the corner"- Joe Johnson, talking to a friend after his charity game in which Nash and Marion played in. "I'm disgusted at his attitude."- Steve Nash, shortly after Johnson's charity game after he tried in vain to convince Johnson to stay with the team. "Winning a championship would be great and all, but what I really want most is to be happy. And thats in Atlanta"- Joe Johnson, in response to the owner of the Suns pleading with him to stay and be part of a championship team on the first night of free agency in 2005. "If Joe wants to play for the Hawks instead of being on a contender, then eff him. He's as good as dead to me."- Yours truly, speaking with some friends at a bar shortly after burning his favorite jersey, his Joe Johnson Sun's jersey. I said last week that there was no way in hell he would be selected unless something horrible happened to REAL all stars, and I was right. I couldn't be happier. The league sees Johnson for who he is, a statmonker that chose to come to a bad team because he could easily put up good numbers and increase his chance at all-star bids. He doesn't care about the playoffs or winning a title, otherwise he would have stayed in Phoenix. He will always be nothing but a selfish jerk that puts himself above the team. And I hope he never, ever, gets to a single all star game. He deserves nothing less. And Joe, if you read this site, Nash Marion and Stoudemire made the all star game- right where they belong.
  9. Quote: Quote: Diesel you're just a hater. JJ will never be an all star unless 2 or 3 real all stars are too injured to play in the game and they have to select someone else. Might wanna take that one back... All stars were announced today, and JJ made the East team. It's not often anyone around here ever says anything positive -- but he's defiantly deserving of our praise. Huh? Arenas, Wade, Shaq, Bosh, and Lebron are the starters. The reserves haven't been announced yet, and won't for another week or two. You can all but pencil in Kidd, Carter, Howard, Eddie Curry, Micheal Redd, Jumaine O'neil, and Pierce. THEN add to that list Ben Wallace, Okafur, Caron Butler, Antwan Jamison.. Even Iverson getting traded to the West won't help him. There's just no room. There's no way in hell Johnson gets in unless 2-5 of those people get injured/die/get horribly ill. Johnson puts up good stats on a bad team, the coaches will not look favorable on that at all. Not to mention how his play has dropped in the last weeks. He's not..going..to..make it, mark it down.
  10. Sigh. Listen up atlas. Suns traded Rondo with Atlanta's pick(via Boston) and Brian Grant to Boston for Cleveland's 1st round pick next year. Cleveland is doing poorly right now and as long as they stay out of the lottery we get their pick. I'm guessing it will be around 18-23. So you see, we took one of your picks and got a BETTER pick in a better draft. Now add that pick to your team's top 3 protected pick, AND our own first rounder and it = 3 picks in an extremely deep draft(the most of any team in this year's draft f.y.i.) Like I said, this year's draft will be so money for us. We load up on young promising talent and add it to an already championship roster. Dynasty baby, Dynasty.
  11. Wow, thanks for compliments atl_baller. Its indeed a great time to be a Suns fan. Big expectations, a team of the ages, and a boat load of future picks that can turn us into a dynasty. Couldn't ask for anything more. The Hawks time will come someday. Diesel you're just a hater. JJ will never be an all star unless 2 or 3 real all stars are too injured to play in the game and they have to select someone else. Bell and Barbosa are MORE than satisfying our shooting guard needs. We are much better off without JJ and his bloated contract. Boris is a steal. Face it, the Suns baited BK and won hands down in that trade. Our draft picks will be so money.
  12. I post on many forums around the NBA, not just the Suns and Hawks. And I post on multiple Suns forums. I can't help it if one of our forums doesn't allow new registrations. I didn't make that rule ya know, can't blame me for it. I welcome any opinion about the Suns from any team's fanbase on any forum I am apart of. Its all good to me. My post count has to be under 20, which is very little. You all rarely see me here and I've gone months without saying a single word. Don't act like I'm in every thread participating in discussions. I bet a lot of people on here probrably haven't even seen a single post of mine. Yet I am such a trouble maker? Right. The person that created this thread is drawing more attention to me than anything I've said on here. He's doing so because he's so upset with his team that he is going to find a scapegoat for his fustrations and I'm number 1. His pleas to get me banned haven't come to pass so he creates this over-dramatic thread and uses the financial trouble of the forum as a means to blackmail moderators into banning me. And once again it was not that I was happy about Marvin, Joe, or Speedy getting injured. I was happy because I thought that this would ensure that you guys might not get too good too fast. But looking back on things I was wrong because its not the injuries that did you guys in, but it was the lack direction from Woodson and BK.
  13. Aren't I popular? First of all if you love your forum and team as much as you all claim you do, then you would donate out of the goodness of your hearts instead of stooping so low as to try to bribe moderators. If the moderators thought I deserved to be banned, then they would ban me. None of you would like someone to come to your job and tell you how to do it. It works both ways. This thread is a joke and its created because a bunch of so called fans have a vendetta against me because I tell the harsh truth. I have a vested intrest in the Hawks success this year and I check their box score every game. So I come here to get the latest news and rumors on the team. I keep an eye on their injury list and I watch the 1 or 2 games that come on national tv. Its only natural that I come on here to read and discuss the latest happenings with your team. The Hawks are in many ways my second favorite team since I pay more attention to them than any other team in the league, sans my Suns. Hell, JOE JOHNSON IS ON MY FANTASY TEAM. Most of you are nothing but hypocrites. I've seen more threads downing your team then every other forum combined. And not by me, but by you-the Hawks fanbase. You put your team down more than I ever could. I actually want your team to win some games but most of you want your team to completely tank the season. What a fanbase! I type the things most of you already make threads about. How the management of the Hawks have failed them. How they short change good players or trade them away entirely for draft picks that they don't need. How when they do draft that they pick the worse of players. And how Woodson couldn't coach his son into a pair of pants. You know whats the only difference between me and most of you? That I want the 4th pick and you all are mad because it looks like I may get it. Well don't get on my case because your team is failing you. I'm just an observer that states the obvious, just like a bunch of you do with your doom-n-gloom threads. The things I say are the cold truth and you all know it. It just bothers you that someone whose a fan of another team saids it. AND it bothers you that you can't say anything bad about my team because we are playing great basketball. IF you love your forum, keep your forum alive by helping it out regardless. Otherwise you are all just a bunch of whining hypocrites. I am not your problem, your team is.
  14. Listen dammit, why all these tank threads? What do you expect to accomplish by tanking? You canNOT tank this season. Please! Think rational about this. Even if you get Oden, he will be out of Atlanta on the first flight of free agency. Hell he might even force the Hawks to trade him on draft night the way Francis did Toronto. Tanking doesn't solve anything. Smart management decisions make a great team. Look at how great my team is for example. Won 29 of 31 games, tied in the lost column for the best record in the league, have the greatest offensive effectiency in league history and the 7th best defense in the NBA. We have dynasty in the making and its all due to us having a great GM that reconizes talent. BK is the idiot holding you guys back. Josh Childress? Josh Smith? Marvin 'my god' Williams? Shelden Williams???? Who the hell would draft these bums top 10?? Not even the Bobcats were that stupid and look at them now. They have a good nucleus and have beaten some quality teams this year. When BK is gone and you guys get a good GM, he'll make smarter decisions in free agency and through the draft. Until then you guys are stuck in suck mode. Not that I'm complaining because I do want that 4th or 5th pick this year. But if I was a Hawks fan I would be ticked at what management is doing to your organization. Protest the Hawks until they make some serious changes. Get Kiki or someone in the front office and lose the trash known as BK.
  15. If it makes you all feel better; The Suns started 1-5 losing by only a few points in each. They then won 21 of 24, including a league high 15 games, to have the second best record in the league at 26-8. We are the only team that haven't lost by double digits. In fact the only time we lost in regulation during our run that whole time was by a game winning basket by Dallas. Amare is way ahead of schedule and is on pace for his first ever 20/10 season. Our coach will coach his first all-star game. Nash is, once agan, the leading MVP candidate. Barbosa has turned into the best backup PG in all of basketball and is a leading 6th man canidate. All of our great young talent are locked up for years to come. And we are one of only two teams that have 3 first round picks in one of the best drafts in history. The city of Phoenix and Suns fans all around the world appreciate all that BK, Joe Johnson, and the Atlanta Hawks team are doing to ensure our dominance for years to come.

Quote: Quote: Quote: Curious PHX - I posted this earlier - do you think if we just switched teams and our talent went under your coach and system (no Nash) that our talent could make the western conference playoffs in a year and a half (counting this year as a half??)...I think they could. You would obviously get our draft picks too. Good question and all, but even though your giving props to our system and coaching staff (thanks btw) our winning has more to do with the players than the system. To be on the Suns you have to be more than just a great athlete, you have to be a smart fundamentally sound player. The Hawks problem are that they have a bunch of athletes on their rosters and not enough cerebral players. Nash is more than just a player, he's the on-court coach. If the team didn't have him they would make the playoffs but wouldn't get out of the first round. Our current players on your team would get to the playoffs on talent alone but wouldn't make it very far. Your players on my team would just miss the playoffs. Claxton doesn't have the leadership that Nash does. You are probably right - I really think our guys could do it under Sloan at Utah...but your coach isn't quite as good as Sloan. Utah will take you out this year IMO. Because of Odom's and Yao's injury, Utah will be a 4th seed. I'm not sure if they will meet the Suns in the playoffs but I'm not overly impressed with them. The Suns choked away the first game again, and Nash was out the second game. Im confident they can be taken in 4 games. The Mavericks concern me however because Dirk gives the Suns such problems. He's unguardable and we have no one that can even bother him. They will be tough, but I'm hoping we can take them in the end. It all depends on how well our team peaks.

Quote: What a loser! This turd comes to a Hawks site without being a FAN. Who does that and is critical? I thought I was bad, being a FAN of the Hawks. I'll be one of the biggest Hawks fans if we get the 4th or 5th pick. I'll even go as far as buying a Joe Johnson Hawks jersey. Look guys, all I'm saying is to encourage your team to win more. I read the board and see threads about tanking.. NO. Don't encourage your team to do this, they should be out there competing for each and every win. I believe in them, and you should too.

Quote: Well you are getting kicked 14-7 by the hurt Heat!! Personally I don't mind your post - it's just reality - we are gonna get the 2nd pick and you don't want us to. Oooops - PHX just went on an 11-0 run and is now winning. Suns have the second best record in the league. The heat are the last of our worries. There are the Mavericks and there's no one else to challenge us. Maybe Marvin should turn on the tv and see how a real PF(Diaw) plays.

I am encouraging more wins from the team. What is wrong with that? You DO want your team to win more, right?

Ya'll are losing a little too damn much. Its not that I don't mind Atlanta suckage (look at Vick, and I'm a Saint's fan) but I am beginning to wonder if the losing is intentional. The Hawks are bad, but they aren't the Bobcats, at least I hope not. That 4th pick means too much to me and a lot of others around this country, so why don't your team do everyone a favor and win 2 or 3 in a row and stop this ridiculous losing streak.
  23. Quote: Quote: He's not a good defensive player and his offensive game is limited to jumpshots. It's obvious that you don't watch the games. If you believe this about JJ, you haven't been watching the Hawks play. Even Last night, in our worse loss of the season, Joes was being doubled and sometimes tripled but he got to the rim when he wanted to. Even Smitty was amazed saying something to the effect that ... "I've been in the league a long time and it's rare to find a player who is the focus of the defense the way Joe is who can get layups. Not just buckets, but layups." JJ is 4th or 5th in the league in scoring and if you compiled every stat, he's probably the 2nd ranked SG in the league. First of all, anyone that voted yes has a bone in the middle of their heads and shouldn't be allowed to operate a vehicle. Thats the kind of trade that you do for a KG/Kobe/Wade, not Joe 'who the hell is he' Johnson. Secondly, your qouted statements are even more ridiculous. Top tier(Best of the best, franchise players): Bryant, Wade Second tier (Extremely good, sometimes great enough to win games single handily. Able to lead teams to a low playoff seed): Vince Carter, Pierce, Ray Allen, McGrady(when healty), Micheal Redd Johnson is lower 2nd, upper 3rd tier. Definately not someone that is good enough to lead bad teams to enough victories to contend for a playoff birth. Stop being homers and open your eyes. Johnson is a stat hound only. He used the Hawks to get a ridiculous deal so that he could have a chance to be an all-star. His exact words were that if he stayed in Phoenix he wouldn't get a chance to be an all star so he had to leave. He was sick of being the 3rd option behind Stoudemire and Nash. He no longer wanted to be a 'decoy' in the Suns' offense. Johnson is concerned with stats and stats only. Anyone that leaves a contender to go to the bad news bears of the NBA is NOT concerned with winning. Johnson could care less if the Hawks finished dead last every year as long as he's getting his stats and an all-star birth.
