  2. Hehe. Umm, yeah so it turns out I was using my old Yahoo account. Sorry.
  3. Hmm. I tried to sign in and was told "League was full." Let me look into it again.
  4. Quote: Outstanding satire! Well done. Satire?!? Boy, they're gonna laugh when they get my resume.
  5. Anybody notice that we win more(and they each perform better) when Josh, Marvin, and Salim play less? Maybe injuries has something to do with this.
  6. Quote: It must be hard keeping your lips glued to Marvin's humongous ass... ... and Be the defender of all things Marvin at the same time. You say that I'm obsessed with Marvin... I think the Marvin obsession can be clearly seen in your mirror. Are you saying T.Pete has a big ass?

    Simple Poll

Quote: So you're insulting UNC fans but you don't have the balls to mention who they are? Wow. It's really not that hard Diesel. They all suck so just go ahead and name them. I've been telling them that for years.
  8. Quote: I like letting wide open competition determine minutes. Obviously, you have to take chemistry into account but let the best man win. The only caveat I would have is that if the competition is even, I would go with the guy with upside. If Horford, Shelden and Zaza are even at Center, I go with Horford. If Marvin and Chillz are even at SF, I go with Marvin. If Acie, Speedy and Lue are even at PG, I go with Acie. Exactly!! It's not like we're benching a player with the talent of say a J.J. The talent between Marvin and Chillz is arguable at best. There is no clear cut advantage for either player. So, you give the player with the most upside the minutes (I could care less who starts) or their playing time is dictated on a situational basis.
  9. Sorry. I didn't mean you particularly. I have a bad habit of simply replying to the last post I read.

    Simple Poll

Quote: Let's see a poll for the distribution of Marvin haters. Or Sheldon supporters.
  11. Quote: Hold up. It's funny how some of you are so quick to right off Marvin yet still continue to believe Sheldon will improve. And the ones who continue to bash Sheldon yet still believe Marvin will break out. You can't have it both ways. BOTH have shown signs of improvment and BOTH will improve into quality NBA players. Bank it. Doh...write-off I meant write

Not sure if I'm a "fan" however, I am hoping he becomes worth the number 2 pick and haven't given up on that hope. I'm also a huge Duke fan. Sheedera would be the first to tell you, although we (Duke-UNC fans) "hate" one-another it is out of respect. I hated Jordan more than any other player ever in the NBA but I respected him tremendously. Plus I will always be a bigger Hawks fan than Duke or any other team I follow. Therefore as long as you are on the Hawks, I will support you. Except Rider. I could not stand this guy.

And the ones who continue to bash Sheldon yet still believe Marvin will break out. You can't have it both ways. BOTH have shown signs of improvment and BOTH will improve into quality NBA players. 14. Their recruiting classes are always pretty even. They are two of the top basketball schools in the nation. But you must admit that you're wrong in thinking big men don't succeed at Duke. That's just an absurd assumption made with your baby-blue colored glasses on .
  15. So yeah... You're right, I think OJ is innocent because there was reasonable doubt. Wow...
  16. Quote: The only player I like from Duke - Brand - hates Duke with a passion. I'm impartial on the whole tobacco road rivalry (Kansas fan here), but it just really seems like Duke has a long history of players with douche-like qualities. On the whole, UNC players own Duke players in the Pros, no argument there. Just an outside opinion... Overall I would agree, but doesn't that just give the edge to the Duke program and coaches? They do more with less. But as one poster pointed out UNC seems to be loosing that edge in the pro's. It's possible that right now Duke has more productive players in the NBA than does UNC. Just a guess.
  17. So you don't think arguably the best defensive center to ever play the game deserves a look at the HOF? Interesting.
  18. Ever hear of Laettner, Deng, Battier, Williams, Brand, Boozer, Ferry? There have been even more NBA PF's from Duke. That argument is always a fun one to make for you TarSmells but doesn't really hold water. Not anymore. All of these players you mention, what have they done since transfering or leaving Duke?? Shlav was undrafted you say? Really, so Duke turned him from a potential lottery pick to undrafted? Wow that school blows. Get off the Duke hate Sheed.
  19. Quote: In a sealed grand jury testimony he admitted to using what he thought was Flax seed oil. There is so much controversy over that sentence vs. what you said it's amazing. 1. Who leaked the testimony? 2. How credible is leaked testimony? 3. Who made the determination that "Barry's flax seed oil" was the cream and the Clear? Again. You have a lot of suspicions and jumps to conclusions.. but no credible evidence. If there was credible evidence (especially in a grand Jury)... don't you think he'd be locked up by now? Do you really think that Baseball is stronger than grand Jury? I suppose you think Vick and O.J.'s innocent to huh? Bonds cheated you can look at the size of his cranium to deduct that reasoning. Only one thing can make your head actually grow....and it's not steroids by the way.
  20. Quote: Opinions? Like in a bare-knuckled steel cage match? Or in a spelling-B competition? Or how about rock-em-shock-em robots? I gotta go with Camby based on he's the only one out of the two I've seen play in the NBA. You did mean the NBA right? Or hungry-hungry-hippoes? Cause I'd take Horford in that.
  21. Quote: Quote: Quote: Quote: JUST SAY NO! the Hawks are wasting a roster spot on Ren. Deke would be an upgrade over that bum. My thoughts exactly. Obviously I dont wanna do it if he effects our cap space going forward. But why not if he doesn't? He seriously could help us out for 10-20 minutes per game in a role that is currently our biggest weakness (a defensive post presence). Plus, him going up against our young bigs in practice could be invaluable to their development. Just curious: Why are yall so against it? If it hinders us going forward than I could see it. But why not give him 1-2 mill for next season? (other than the fact our owner's prolly wouldnt do it, and that another team might be willing to give more). because if i have to see that horrendous looking hook shot one more time or him taking an eternity to make a move and then eventually travel because his moves takes so long to develop....(kind of like this sentence) i will stab myself in the eye! Well, I don't think he'd be asked to score now like he was back then. I would absolutly be in for this one. He still can take over a game rebounding and blocking shots (not nearly as often of course). That's EXACTLY what we need. To me it's a no brainer as long as his contract is favorable.
  22. Not to big on the jersey thing as my one and only jersey is a Laettner jersey circa...1996 I believe. That's right I said Laettner, what's it to ya?
  23. Quote: But not every player is healthy all season, and not every player gets in every game. If you took the entire roster last season and summed up their average ppg you get 141.8, whereas the team actually averaged what, 94 or so? Ahhh, yes that makes perfect sense. My bad.
