  1. One other reason why we won (although we looked better in general)... Celtics FT: 10/18 = 56% Hawks: 29/33 = 88% Hard to win that way if all other stats are about even (like rebounding, FG%)
  2. Oh lord here we go. Do we REALLY need to get into such a puerile argument? So stupid. 1) The ASG could have canned a clearly overmatched Woody years ago (playoffs aside) 2) They allowed BK to keep his job 3) They waited so long to make Dominique a more visible face of the franchise (now he is tutoring our guys via their permission) 4) The ongoing ownership situation 5) The reported refusal to fire Woody after BK's insistence not once, but thrice Seriously man, stop reaching. The gist of my post was that I hope the ASG steps up and does the right thing. Everything else you claim is typical, childish reaching. Good lod.
  3. Quote: Quote: Because its the ASG??? That's why I "worry." Give me an example where this group has not supported this team! Or spent money to make this team better! Plus if you don't resign Smith, nobody shows up to see your product next year and you don't make money. Your logic makes no sense! Dude, calm down. All I am saying is that I hope they make the right decisions. We are on the same friggin page for God's sake.
  4. Just re-watched the clip. Yep, plain as day that he pushed the ref with force, not once, but twice.
  5. Quote: Quote: Man, looks like the Suns just cant get over the hump no matter what they do. Boy, looks like all of the blockbuster trades mid-season (Kidd, Shaq, Bibby) all ended up backfiring except for Bibby. Gasol didn't either, but I agree the Shaq and Kidd trades definitely did not work out as intended for Suns and Mavs Haha, forgot about the Gasol trade for a minute. So yeah.
  6. Of course his strength is off the bench. Zaza would just do a little bit more guarding of whoever replaces Garnett. Doesnt really change a whole lot in that respect.
  7. Quote: Quote: If, IF, they decided to give him an extension, the ASG BETTER sign Smoove [and Chill] and go after some vets. No excuses. There is no reason not to sign these guys so why worry. Woodson has proven that he can win with them so what sense would it make to change the roster? Because its the ASG??? That's why I "worry."
  8. Chillz played some great D during that time. Good move.
  9. At what point in the video did you see it (give time please) because I have watched it and missed it.
  10. Pachulia needs to play like that EVERY game! What I saw from him tonight was someone playing UP to his 7 foot 260+ pound frame instead of playing DOWN to it for the majority of the season.
  11. If, IF, they decided to give him an extension, the ASG BETTER sign Smoove [and Chill] and go after some vets. No excuses.
  12. No way does Solo start. Chill will start in Marv's place and Salim will be the primary backup for him. Davis would probably get the start for the Celts then.
  13. Quote: We should've re-signed him earlier in the season for 50ish million. Oh well, the "cat's" out of the bag now. But we've got to lock this guy up. He's "our" guy. We developed him, we deserve to see him flourish. Yep, the only question now is what position will he play next season (and thus Horford too)...
  14. Quote: The funny thing is that as great as he played he was 0-6 from 3. Pleasepleaseplease stop shooting 3s. Someone said he only missed two shots that WERENT 3 pts. That is a huige reason why we won the 4th quarter (and ultimately the game). He wasnt in rhythm on half those 3s and the shot clock wasnt down to less than 5 or 6 in most of them. Take that away, and he was damn near perfect tonight. But yeah, he certainly raised his value with these last two games...
  15. Quote: Quote: Whoever created this thread should change the subject or put a question mark on the end until it's confirmed... it hasn't happened yet so the title is incorrect. I don't think they'll suspend just one player because they both were barely out of the bench area and if they use "intent" neither player should be suspended b/c clearly both intended to stay on the sidelines. How fitting that the boneheaded Marvin would get himself suspended in such a way... That's the thing. Perkins actually moved onto the court and was a good few steps onto the court with a coach next to him holding him back. Marvin just stood up off to bench to see what happened and part of one foot was on the court. I do not see how the two are comparable. Duke, I think that argument is pointless. The precedent has already been set and intention wasn't taken into account then. We all know Marv wouldnt do anything (although if it was Smoove or Zaza...). but that didnt matter in the Amare brawl incident.
  16. Quote: Um. Amare last year. Barely came on the court and got suspended for the pivotal Game 5 or 6 whatever it was. It really impacted the way the series played out. The precedent has been set. Exactly! Stern did NOT take intention into account for that incident. And since it was the most recent, I'm sure Stern will likely look to it as a precedent.
  17. Man, looks like the Suns just cant get over the hump no matter what they do. Boy, looks like all of the blockbuster trades mid-season (Kidd, Shaq, Bibby) all ended up backfiring except for Bibby.
  18. As I just stated in another similar thread, I expect both of them to be suspended without second though by Stern. It will hurt the Celtics a HELL OF A LOT more than us missing Marvin. Chill will start in his place and Salim (and Acie to a lesser extent) will come in as the primary sub in his place.
  19. Watching the game (and the subsequent replays), Perkins clearly stepped on the court. Marvin did as well. By rule, they should both be suspended one game. Obviously, this has happened before in the playoffs (with the infamous brawl), and Stern did not deviate from the rule. He interpreted it strictly and did not consider the players' intentions. That said, both will likely be suspended for game 5. We shall see.
  20. I'd agree with that hypothesis so far. He's definitely coaching a hell of a lot better.
  21. Quote: Woody: I dont know where Cassel's balls are Hosey! Joe: I do. Our team just STEPPED all over them tonight! See? I'm running over them now biatch! Posey: Damn HATERZ!
  22. Wish I could go That game should easily sell out now!
  23. We will SHOCK THE WORLD and win the series. It's amazing how much better coaching + JJ and Bibby scoring + Running + ATL Crowd @ Phillips transforms the Hawks into a world-beater. These cats are truly amazing so far at home. We have won two straight now. If we can bring that intensity to Boston and do the things that worked well against them, and win, we will probably win it when it comes back to the ATL. Bank it.

    Woodson

Quote: Woodson just earned himself a new 3yr contract. BK better hope this also keeps him too cause he put this team together. Go Hawks. I wouldnt go THAT far. But I will say this, if only Woodson coached like this all regular season... Its like someone kidnapped the real Woodson and replaced him with a good coaching double.
  25. I dont think the "haters" you speak of "hated on" JJ...what I mainly heard this say was that he was inconsistent and tended to disappear against better teams and pressure--which was all true in the regular season. He has played extremely well past two games this series.
