  1. Quote: Quote: It was on before the series started. Really? Either they played it probably once or twice, or it was just shown at like 3:00 am or something, because it wasn't showing up nearly as much as the ones with the other teams in it. Oh well, it's just nice to see that it obviously got a spike in run-time, because I've been seeing it more often. Yeah, I only saw it like once or twice around game 2. They obviously didnt show it much. It's good to see us in a commercial, in a positive way, for once.
  2. Quote: word is she hates boston and she did give us a few calls Eh, refs dont really "give" free calls per se because there is an EXTENSIVE refereeing evaluation they have to go through every game. They have to explain why the call was given, what made them do it, etc etc. They cant really afford to give out calls like that and keep their job for long.
  3. I totally agree Dolfan. I think the Pistons are the better team, but they are just getting show up by the Sixers (like we did the Celts last night).
  4. Now that the draft is officially over (and the signing of the UDFAs can begin), let us reflect back on who we drafted and our analysis of it. Here are the players we drafted and analysis from nfl.com: Our 2008 Draft What are your thoughts? And how would you rate it?
  5. Who is willing to put them up and say Philly win win the series against Detroit? Come now...dont be scared. Just curious...
  6. A perfect fit for Paul Pierce and his shenanigans.
  7. Quote: You gotta love Horford. He ain't gettin' punked by those cry-baby Celtics. Horf is averaging 15 and 12 against the best defensive team in the game. His Field Goal and FT % are all up over his season averages. I must say, he has really stepped his game up!
  8. Quote: Isn't Bibby's non shooting hand the one that's taped? He doesn't seem to be bothered by it, but you never know. Yep, it is his non-shooting hand (like Acie's). And to respond to the "missed 3 FTs in a row" comment, Bibby isn't a great FT shooter. He shoots around 70 something percent for his career. But eh, it may be bothering him more than we know. What do I know, I am 22 and have never broken a bone in my body, so I have no experience with what Bibby is going through.
  9. Just saw it. Funny as hell. Horf did taunt him though. Lucky no T was given to him. Horford just beasted that dude though...
  10. I think Horford single-handedly increased the rivalry with his taunting of Pierce late in the 4th Quarter. I'm glad you got a chance to go...wish I could have been there.
  11. He's playing under control and doing all the things we know he can do. This is what a COMPLETE all-around game would look like from him (just gotta work on his man defense). He is something special when he is on offensively and under control.
  12. Ogg only Smoove played like this EVERY game! That dude cant miss a friggin Three! Geez. He just dunked all in Ray Ray's face. Got plane? We fly Air Smoove around here!
  13. Hawks are playing great, but DAMN is Zaza awful! He is a turnover-losing, cant secure a rebound-having, soft azz 7 footer. Ug! Horford is beasting those foos out there! And Smoove is playing under control! Who knew?
  14. Lol, calm down Woody huggers. This is just ONE game. He is still pretty bad. But good job Hawks on a good 3rd Quarter for once...
  15. Eh, I can palm a ball too and I'm 5'10...but then again, I have HUGE hands. Anyway, Pachulia cant rebound for sheit. Did you see Big Baby just JUMP OVER Zaza for that rebound? Pathetic.
  16. Quote: plus it takes to freakin long See, that is what annoys me too. They REALLY need to find a way to further truncate the length of these rounds. If the scouting core has done their jobs, teams shouldnt need anywhere near the time they are getting in the first round to select their player (even with trades). They should strongly consider shortening the first round to about 7 mins for each team and find a way to shorten the second and later rounds. It's fun to watch the first 10-15 picks or so, but after that I just turn it off and let SI.com or something list the picks whenever they come in.
  17. Wel, it would be nice. We havent come within 10 points of beating this team in any of the 5 games we have played them. If we are to win tonight, yes, Bibby and JJ are going to have to show up, Pachulia needs to play at little as possible, Smoove needs to show up, Horford needs to stay out of foul trouble, and Acie needs to play big minutes (especially if Bibby continues to be unable to hit anything). Also Woodson is going to have to try something new against the Celtics. The status quo is getting us blown out by 15-20 pts a game.
  18. I still dont like the Ryan pick at all, but we pulled a mini-Cleveland from last year (in reverse). We grabbed our franchise QB and moved up to surround him with a very good LT. The run on OTs was too severe for us NOT to pull the trigger on Baker. Plus, we got Lofton who will play MLB--which means that will keep Brooking off the field (so he can backup Nicholas on that side instead of starting at MLB). Plus, we have three, THREE 3rd rounders. Norwood and Laurent Robinson all came from the 3rd round for us and they turned out to be very good picks with a lot of promise. It just turns out that instead of the OTs sliding in the 2nd round with the QBs going relatively quickly, the reverse happened. OTs started flying off the shelf and Brohm and Henne are STILL there close to midway through the second round.
  19. Quote: You realize that we would have actually been better passing on our own pick by taking Ryan. Oakland would still have taken McFadden and then we could have taken Ryan for a cheaper contract price. I don't like this at all and I hope I am wrong. No, that doesnt work. The agent would still demand the #3 pick money. This has happened before, and the agent got his wish.
  20. Hmm, they did say it would get stormy today. It is nothing but sunshine and a few clouds here...
  21. The ONLY ways I would have welcomed the pick were if Dorsey was taken by the Rams or if we couldn't trade down if Dorsey wasn't there. When the Rams took Long, I jumped for joy thinking our worst case scenario wouldnt materialize. However, they took Ryan anyway. Ryan may turn out to be good, and I hope to God that he does with all that damn money we are payin him, but we needed to address our Line (in this case the D Line). You win games through the trenches, and Ryan is just going to get murdered behind our swiss chess, turnstyle-having O Line. Plus, our D Line wont be able to apply any pressure (wasnt that the problem last year?). *Sigh* Since he was drafted, I will support him, but the bottom line is that he may have been the best QB in many eyes, but he was no concensus franchise QB. You dont take an iffy, non concensus QB that high--especially when you have so many other needs to fill. Maybe they get those 3 second round picks right... Oh yeah, if Ryan turns our to be something special, then I will gladly admit my mistake. However, with what I have heard by analysts, he isn't all that special.
  22. In college? No way. In highschool? It's possible. I had over a 4.0 in highschool because I made straight As and took AP Classes that I made As in. But in college, they do away with that and even an A could either be a 4.0 or 3.7 depending on the grade.
  23. You dont waste such a high pick like that on an aging Taylor. If he were one of the one or two missing pieces we needed to become a serious contender, then maybe. However, we are FAR from being a serious contender...
  24. You are indeed rum and coked up...you cant have a 4.4 GPA.
  25. That is hilarious as hell!!! Seriously, that is some funny stuff right there. I was damn near choking on my chinese food... Easily one of the best Youtube clips ever.
