  1. Quote: Quote: he also said he out dunked M.J. in chicago in '88! He did. That was robbery. Jordan has come out to say the same thing. Jordan won because the all-star was in chi-town.
  2. If so, why can't he teach our players how to draw defenses fouls? I rarely ever see our players draw a charge. And a side note right now Smoove is our best player. Marvin and JJ's game will become larger once we get a PG like A-Miller or Kid.
  3. That is 6th spot in the playoffs. Man, if we get the 6th spot and the Magic holds down the 3 spot. BOY OH BOY, I think we could get into that 2nd round. I would not like to go against the Cavs because WE KNOW how the Refs will help King James. I do not want that headache.
  4. Quote: Smith and Horford: A Tandem to contend with Nice article on Al and Smoove, Gotta say that I just love the passion these guys play with every night. They make everyone around them better. WE are lucky to have these 2 young men on our team. my favorite." two players. Did any of you notice how hyped Big Al got after he made the free throw at the 3:40 mark? He put the team up 88-87. As the Lakers were inbounding the ball, Big Al is walking backwards, with his eyes on the ball, clapping his hands and then he slaps the floor with both hands. This guy is ready for the Playoffs. LOL
  5. Quote: Marvin and Lo for Mike Miller. We move JJ to SF.. Play: PG, Miller, JJ, Smoove, Horf... The shooters will open up the floor for Smoove and Horf to work! What are you going to do after the trade deadline? LOL
  6. This is the best station for Hawks fans. One of the asst. coaches are talking about the Hawks on 105.5 the fan right now. http://www.1055thefan.com/home.php
  7. Quote: Quote: Wow! By listening to 680 I just found out that we passed on Chris Paul! Great journalism. You cant deny the facts can you imagine how good this team would be Paul/Deron JJ Smoove and Al Horford along with Chillz off the bench we would def have a better record. You check out Pauls game last night I think he is turning into the best pg in the nba in his 3rd season. Can you imagine how rich you might be if you bought some Vitamin Water stock in 2005 or Microsoft stock in 95???
  8. Quote: Never heard him talk before. Coming to think of it, does he do a lot of post-game interviews right after we win? Yes
  9. Quote: web page I don't know where this first line comes from???.... "The Hawks have hit a bump in the road and that once promising prospect of making the playoffs for the first time in a decade is looking unlikely." Damn, this article was written by someone on Hawksquawk... other words - wishful thinking. I thought you he has no clue about what the hawks are going to do. A waste of time
  10. Quote: LOL. Josh Smith really doesn't speak English well. Are you just finding this out???
  11. Quote: Quote: This gets more absurd by the day. The whole point was that Shaq was taken out of the game before he should have been. If Shaq can't play in that last 50 seconds, then what's the point? Miami should show some class and retract their protest. It'd actually be better for them if they did so that they could get better draft position, LOL. Bingo! lol But I think the league is doing this just to let us know it wasn't a Shaq thing. It is more a Hawks score table thing.
  12. This makes me feel a little better. I hope the Hawks stomp them into the ground of this bullcrap. AJC reports Marion and Banks will not be able to play in the make over game. Quote: Trade affects Hawks-Heat replay Posted: Thursday February 07, 2008 07:38AM ET The Hawks' March 8 make-up game, actually the final 51.9 seconds of a previous game, with Miami took a serious hit Wednesday when the Heat traded Shaquille O'Neal to Phoenix for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks. The Hawks' Dec. 19 victory over the Heat was vacated after the NBA upheld the Heat's protest of a scorekeeper's error. O'Neal fouled out of the contest with 51.9 seconds to play in overtime but had only five fouls when he was disqualified from the game, not six as the scorekeeper said. Now that he's no longer a member of the Heat, he won't be around for the replay. "As far as I'm concerned there's no reason to even bother with the replay," said Hawks captain and All-Star Joe Johnson. "If Shaq's not going to be here, what's the point?" The Hawks won't be that lucky. Even without O'Neal, the replay will go on. But there are stipulations. Neither Marion nor Banks will be allowed to play. But they will be allowed to play in the regularly scheduled game, which will begin after the replay is completed.
  13. Quote: I emailed here: http://www.nba.com/webAction?actionId=surv...p&surveyId=1152 I might even write them; but this is weak. Why is this even a question?! They said Shaq fouled out, the effect is the same. THE GUY ISN'T ELIGIBLE TO PLAY!! And why does allowing their newly acquired players play even have to be contemplated?! THEY WEREN'T on the ROSTER! Excuse my rant. That is all. Go Hawks. I'm with you on that too guy
  14. Quote: They also booed Joe, and it sounded like quite a number. Amazing. Yeah, I was trying to tell my lady. Damn, That is one game I wished I did pay for so I could boo their butts out of there.
  15. Quote: Quote: These are the two most useless guys on our team. We still have Solo and Lorenzen. Why not go after Kapono (Toronto already has 35 killer 3pt shooters) or someone? A shooter *and* a reserve big man who can board. A 2 -for- 2 deal. Lets go for Joakim! Lets put him and Big Al together once again!
  16. but i got very pissed when those laker fans booing Smoove on his last two free throws. I'm glad the Hawks gave those fans what they paid for... the big L!!!
  17. Here is the email, Quote: Now that the Heat has traded Shaq to the Suns what will happen with the Heats make over game with the Atlanta Hawks. If you remember they have to finish the Dec. 19 game. The one where Shaq had six fouls but was later said he only had five. They have to play the last 51 seconds of that game March 8th.
  18. Guys we need to email someone at ESPN or the NBA. Our best bet would be to flood someone over at ESPN that would make them push the story. but who??? We need to ask about the make over game between the Heats and Hawks. C'mon lets get it started guys. Name the person and I will write up the email so you guys would only have to copy and paste. Thanks
  19. Well, I no for a fact that Smoove is the most popular player that comes out of 76ers fans mouth. I'm a Philly Eagles Football fan. I stay on their message board and listen to the Philly Sports radio every day. The Fans are always trying to think up a way that would bring Smoove to the 76ers. Here is my philly sig
  20. Dang! That pass to Chill was Magic, Barkley like! Smoove took over this game. We are truely seeing an All Star in THE making!
  21. Smoove deserve the max contract. This guy has improved every year. Every year he goes out to work with the past great players to improve his game. he shows the dedication. Hell, I say dont stop shooting the jumpers Smoove because once they start falling you will be an All-Star every year.
  22. I have alway like this guy. The only thing we would be facing it that he is more of a half court guy. I liked him when he played for the Hornets. His a very sneaky dirty players. lol
  23. Quote: Quote: Being a huge GA Tech fan, I would love to get Critt. I still wish we would have got him with our first pick. We took Acie because he seemed more NBA ready, but I don't think he is as ready as everybody thought he was. If we knew AJ was going to be as productive as he has been this year, I think it would have made more sense to pick Critt with our pick. I was always for getting Critt or Stuckey. I like Acie, but I expected a little more, even though this is his first season. Acie WILL be with this team for the next 3 seasons or so, but if we can firm up the PG position, we should do it. Either Lowry or Critt would be great choices for this team. I'm pretty sure BK is already on it as Critt was on his list at PG before the draft. I still don't get why Acie hasn't controlled this team like I thought he would. He was a great scorer/leader in college and I expected that to translate to the NBA. He has the size and skills to have an immediate impact. For some reason, I had in mind that he would average 10-12ppg and 4apg right away. If you notice Law is in the same situation that J-Chill (behind JJ), and Marvin (behind Al) I just don't understand why you draft a high pick and don't play the guy
  24. The Grizz have 3 good young PGs. Crittenton Lowry Conley That is too many PGs. They need a good big like ZaZa or Lo Do you guys who would like to see another PG think we could pull that off?
