  1. Quote: I find it interesting that you automatically choose the side of Sekou when I would bet you that the majority of "misquotes" in print are actually misquotes. As it stands right now it's a misquote until Sekou proves otherwise. We'll see if he really stands behind his story or not. Did you hear Gearon on 790 this morning? He did not say Billy was not turned down. when they asked him did BK want to fire Woody, Gearon ran around the question. He would never say it did not happen. The thing about Sekou Smith is that he is a beat writer for the Hawks. Which means he and the Hawks a have some kind of agreement/trust. With that story he hurt the ASG. That is never good for a beat writer to do. I not totally sure but pretty close.
  2. Quote: 5 fouls with 4 minutes left. Woody takes him out. I wouldn't have, but I can understand a minute, minute and a half maybe. Then 2 minutes left. Technical foul. Plenty of pause to think. Surely, Al is going to be checking back into the game? Nope....not until like a minute left. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Ugh. FIRE WOODY; HE'S NO GOODIE I do not like Woody anymore either but after he took Al out I was like, "WHY?" Then I thought about what if the game goes into OT and Al fouls out with in those minutes Woody put him on the bench? Woody make the only call you could make. Which was the right move THIS TIME.
  3. Quote: I'm more surprised that Marvin would be on 92.9. I know that they're the Falcons broadcast station, but they have nothing to do with Atlanta sports outside of that, especially not the Hawks. 790 was plugging a Bibby interview this morning, did anyone catch that? here you go Bibby 790
  4. Bibby - "You can't do anything by yourself," he said. "I tell the guys, 'Whenever I drive to the basket, circle in, because I'm looking to pass it. Be aggressive.' I'm going to try to get the ball where they need it." Next year is going to be a great start. BK and Woody will be gone. In comes Larry Brown. I would trade Salim and Marvin. Sign J-Rich and West. Find some way to get DeSagana Diop. Also I need to ask you guys… Is one of the reason why the owner raised ticket prices so high is because maybe they want more money to be able to bring in more good players? You know good players do cost more money.
  5. Not sure if I should give this group anymore of my money until Woody is gone. I would like to see Bibby play. How about you guys?
  6. Quote: February 23, 2008 - 11:40 am The Detroit News - Dale Davis is very close to officially becoming a member of the Pistons, according to the Detroit News. After waiving Flip Murray it was widely believed that Joe Dumars would like to sign Davis, who hasn't played all season. The News has reported that Davis has agreed to the prorated veteran's minimum and that his signing is pending a physical He wasn't someone that I really wanted the Hawks to sign but he would have helped. We will probably let Magloire pass by as well. I read yesterday morning about Detroit was looking at Davis and Magloire. I guess they wanted Dale more.
  7. Quote: Bibby had a big game on a bumb foot. There is just no way you can win with 22 turnovers. The Hawks handed them the game on a platter. How long have you been a Hawks fan again?
  8. Which makes me think of another point... Why do we not hear ppl say, "Marvin stop putting the ball on the floor?" You always hear... "stop taking jumpers J-Smoove."
  9. the dribble is great. The quickness is there. He gets to the basket with ease but the chances of the ball falling through the basket is very rare. LOL Amaze me every time. His jump shots are great but lord help him if he puts that ball on the floor.
  10. Quote: yeah.. and he has had a better year than Magloire. I have seen Magloire play and he is much better then Za. If you don't believe me go ask the NJ fans who are pissed that their GM let Magloire go. http://boards.espn.go.com/boards/mb/mb?spo...94968&lid=8 Magloire nick name is big nasty..aka..Big Cat. lol I remember when he played for the Char-Hornets. He was slick at playing dirty. lol He is a very go defense C. C'mon Billy go get the Big Cat. here are some of the chat.. The NJ fans seem to really like the guy too. I did notice they had 4 Centers after the trade. So, I guess they let the older vet go. Quote: MoSilkyMo: Unbelievable, you mean we can keep and play Collins for 7 years but we can't find a place for a guy who can actually play the center position. CJ_Correa: AMAZING imdkidd: bet he goes to Dallas ... can anyone say side deal? bostonstillsux19: That's too bad, he was never really given a fair chance. He handled the situation very well, though I suppose $4 million should be enough incentive as is. nilsen10: I wouldn't be surprised. I guess we're counting on signing Diop who still needs a lot of work on his Offensive game.
  11. Quote: Quote: We should be trying to get Magloire If Magloire isn't good enough to see the floor in NJ why do people want him here??? We have Zaza, don't we?
  12. ROLMAO @ YOU GUYS! Some funny replies. Maybe we could trade coaches. Kevin would be good for this team. bring back the old bad boys ways LOL
  13. Quote: Gotta give him some props tonight. In the 1st half Salim started chucking crazy shots after playing well and Woody went right to Bibby. Also ZazA started getting flat footed and out rebounded by Wright and Woody went right to Horford. Then when it appeared we were well on our way to blowing a huge lead he put Salim in and stuck with him instead of killing Bibby with too many minutes. I saw some of you complain about why he didnt go to Bibby earlier in the 4th, well Im sure his plan was to rest him as long as possible and prolly the rest of the game if we kept a big enough lead. He didnt put Bibby back in till he saw Chills commit the offensive foul leading the break. Sorry but if the guy does a good job like Woddy did tonight ya gotta give him props. Wow guy, I'm sorry but this sounds just like a fan who has been a fan of a team who has not been in the playoffs in 8 years. Guy this is the second half of the season, where the big boys come and play to take momentum going into the playoffs. We are now in a tight race for a playoff spot. There is no time to play soft because your man is somewhat limping. Bibby knows he is a star and when times get hard the stars show up. they dont go hide on the bench. I think JJ will learn to get some heart because of Bibby's strong will to play. Woody almost F up this game. Don went small and got Big AL into foul trouble. While AL was out they took it to us in the paint! They started getting offense rebounds and cut into the lead. After the 3rd ended, we should have seen Big AL.. That is this team biggest problem is they let other teams dictate our game in the 4th too much... aka... Bad Coaching!
  14. Quote: Quote: ?ave he not notice how Don is punkin him. He made him take out AL and they has been getting 75% of their point in the paint! PUT AL AND BIBBY BACK IN THE DAMN GAME! WE NEED THE BOARDS! Bibby is injured... can't you see him limping? The guy had the limp when the game started and has played Damn good. His IQ of the game is what this team needs. Every game counts. He is now our star. Star players play injured in must needed times, ask Kobe.
  15. Have he not notice how Don is punkin him. He made him take out AL and they have been getting 75% of their point in the paint! PUT AL AND BIBBY BACK IN THE DAMN GAME! WE NEED THE BOARDS!
  16. Quote: You know, the guy hasn't even gotten a chance to play this season. I read a lot of people complaining about him, but he flat out hasn't got the opportunities. Let the guy play. He's worked hard in practice and done the right things. Let the guy play. I agree, it has been a very hard year. I only wish the best for the guy. That Steve Smith is funny as crap. After Bibby makes the third 3, he yells out, WE GOT A 2ND SNIPER! LOL
  17. I wanted to see if there were any Big CP3 fans just before/after the draft. I did not find any BIG CP3 fans. Just like I thought, there are a lot of "Monday Morning QBs CP3 FANS" on here. troubleman, you wanted a PG over Marvin but you were not a big Paul fan like you claim to be. The one PG that got any talk was Deron Williams. I must say I liked him over CP3 too. But here are some links back in time to see what some of you guy said about the 2005 Draft. Quote: Re: Players I want no part of in the draft http://www.hawksquawk.net/forums/showflat....odyprev=1#80836 Nicholasp27: chris paul he's too short, and even if he is the next iverson/tj ford, the chances of him being oft-injured are just too high...i'd rather have deron/felton or marvin than paul Re: Hawks to draft Marvin Williams http://www.hawksquawk.net/forums/showflat....odyprev=1#80798 Do not see anyone talking about they are piss and want CP3 here. Majerus says Williams is the best in the draft. http://www.hawksquawk.net/forums/showflat....odyprev=1#80745 No one like CP3 here either. There is more talk of ppl wanting Deron Williams then Paul. Quote: Mockdrafts on Draftcity & NBADraft already updated http://www.hawksquawk.net/forums/showflat....odyprev=1#80429 Blunt91: Those 2 websites have already updated their mockdrafts and both have the Hawks selecting Chris Paul at #2. Andrew Bogut is the #1pick on both drafts. Funny thing, no one cared for what Blunt91 had to say, AND His post was about getting CP3 at two. Quote: Re: reasons why we should draft Chris Paul! http://www.hawksquawk.net/forums/showflat....odyprev=1#79644 DominiqueWilkins: I wouldn't be happy with Paul, but would support him, and Deron Williams would be my frist choice. I don't see Paul becoming a superstar. troubleman: I would prefer Bogut but if the Hawks draft Paul, Dalembert is the big man I want. My concern with that lineup is the lack of three point shooting. Phoenix has 4 guys in their starting lineup that can drain the three. In that Hawks lineup I don't see one. Here is the only Thread I ran into that had CP3 even with Marvin. Even then, no one stood out by saying, "I want Paul at 2." On Draft day... http://www.hawksquawk.net/forums/showflat....er=83361&Forum=,f1,&Words=draft&Searchpage=1&Limit=200&Main=83360&Search=true&where=sub&Name=&daterange=1&newerval=&newertype=&olderval=31&oldertype=m&bodyprev=1#83361 Quote: Re: Draft Day has arrived! With that said http://www.hawksquawk.net/forums/showflat....odyprev=1#86017 Diesel: I say to be safe... Take Marvin... But by the end of the night, try to have his hat traded for somebody else. namely Paul or Williams. The key becomes N.O. Interestingly enough, Toronto plays a big role too! Quote: After the 2005 Draft...
  18. Quote: He was ready to be sent to Denver for Von Wafer but Portland made a better offer. Wafer is a .203% shooter to Salim's 40%. So would BK want him? Is it his size?
  19. I will be the 1st to say I'm wrong about him. Woody can justify not playing him BUT.... I'm on J-Rich's...aka... "Money" bandwagon. I did not see the game last night but he looks to have had another good game. Too bad Woody can't see that. Maybe after going back and looking at the game he and his coaches will see it. They need to find more minutes. [censored], light a fire in M-Williams asher and put him on the bench in place of J-Rich. DANG! WOODY MAKES IT VERY HARD TO BE A HAWKS FAN. I think Brandon "Home Team" Leak said it right yesterday, "Woody puzzles the crap out of me with his random subs." Code: Money's Stat MIN FGM-A 3PM-A PTS 17 6-8 3-4 15
  20. Another trade that makes you go, hmmmmm??? LINK
  21. Quote: Lost 13 of their last 14 on the road. Over their last 38 road games (going back to last season), they are 6-32. This guy has no clue how to get these young guys ready to play on the road. Noooooooo, the "Biggest indictment of Woody" is having him coach a team period.
  22. Quote: Oh STFU with that sh!t already. Get over it. I'm with you too. 95% of everyone back at that time said pick Bogut at 1 and Marvin Williams at 2. If you look at 10 2005 Mock Drafts you will see that too. Now you got these SO CALLED smart guys saying NOW we should have picked CP3. Well DAMN, the Bobcats should have picked Roy at 3 in the 2006 draft. I have never been a big Marvin Williams guy. I said at the start of the season we should trade him for a big but I'm not going to come on here and act like I knew we should have picked CP over him. Marvin was the smart pick in the 2005 draft. The Dumb pick was S-Williams over Roy.
  23. and the name is "MONEY" ...aka J-Rich. He and AC were the good news of the night. BK you F it up again. We need a Big like DeSagana Diop not Bibby. lol BK your new nickname is "Can'tGetRight" lol
  24. Yeah, He said he is still looking for a big.
  25. Too bad he want get the minutes. DAMN, I HATE THE POLITICS IN THE GAME. Blast me all you want but I would take a chance on this cat. He showed tonight he is money. Can't wait to see more.
