  1. The return of David McDavid? If he was interested in 2003, he is probably still interested. He also has his settlement money from Turner.
  2. Atlanta is probably not the best city for a convicted dog fighter. He would be better off with the Sixers.
  3. When Josh Smith attempts a 3 pointer, Hawks fans cringe. Do Laker fans get aggravated when Kobe attempts a 3pt shot? Based on this season's "stats", they should scream "NO" when Kobe pulls up at the 3pt line. Kobe 3Pt% .323 Josh 3Pt% .331 Stats may not lie, but they can't possibly tell the entire story or the history.
  4. I'm glad that I stayed in my seat until the final buzzer. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had in the Phillips. There was no rush to leave the arena. People just wanted to stay there and absorb the win.
  5. For those that would like to import the entire schedule into Outlook or another application, I have created a comma delimited file of the 82 games. Hawks_2009_2010_Sched.txt
  6. I love the 5:00PM start time of the DEC 13th home game against the Nets. The Falcons are in the Dome at 1:00 PM on the same day. In the past, the Hawks would have been scheduled for 2:00 PM.
  7. Didn't Kobe put up 81 against Mitchell's Raptors? I think I'll stick with Woody.
  8. I have had season tickets since they opened the building. It was the biggest crowd for an opposing team that I have ever seen at the Phillips. I think that the weekend date allowed more Laker fans from outside of metro Atlanta to attend the game. The Laker fans were acting like it was Christmas morning, half of them had a camera in hand to record their special event. Two guys in my section were wearing full Laker warm-up uniforms ,the pants too. Isn’t there a Man-Law against wearing the pants?
  9. Paul had to be banged up. He was reluctant to penetrate most of the night, even when he was guarded by much slower players.
  10. I did not realize that NBATV had moved its studios to Atlanta. The Hawks should get plenty of coverage this year.
  11. Coach Woodson will be the guest of honor at an Atlanta cigar event on Monday. Monday, September 22nd 6pm - 10pm Landons Restaurant & Bar 3752 Cascade Road Suite 100 Atlanta, Ga 30331 404.472.2424 In recognition of his contributions to the Atlanta community, Landon’s Big Smoke “Cigars and Cognac” celebrates Coach Mike Woodson of the Atlanta Hawks. To honor the style and discerning taste of Coach Woodson, this event caters to select cigar enthusiasts—both men and women who look forward to celebrating the pleasures of smoking fine cigars while socializing with like minded individuals in an exclusive locale. 12. Buck Belue lobbed softballs at Sund with no follow-up questions. Here is a summary. 1. The plan was 'not' to match every offer that Smith received. If they did not feel comfortable, they would not have matched. Sund says that he had the final say on whether to match the offer. 2. Smith's agent called Sund to say that the rumors about Josh hating Woody were not true. Smith did not trash Woody during initial interview with Sund. 3. In free agency, Sund's goal is to slightly overpay his player. Belue did not ask him how this applies to Smith getting more from Memphis. 4. They will retain Childress' rights. Childress will have to deal with the Hawks if he returns to the NBA. 5. He is still looking to fill out roster with minimum salary players. 6. The ASG owners are willing to pay luxury tax if necessary.
