Joe and Josh remind me of what brothers of different age go through. You always have that little brother who is overshadowed by his big brother, but wants to be just like him. I think Josh has a lot of respect for Joe's game but Joe doesnt feel the same way especially when hes shooting jumpshots. But anyway the point im trying to make is that these two guys probably arent going to be able to play togethar....hell we barely see Joe to smoove alleyoops anymore.
I wouldn't expect anything less from you benhill....basing your opinion on ONE PLAY in the game. If you had actually taken your time to watch the game you would actually have seen that Joe was aggresive today and didn't settle for jumpshots. He actually got to the line 5 times today (made em all) which is pretty swell for a guy who just came off missing time.
I just want to point out that Josh (16.5 fga per game) has taken more shots per game this month and last month than Joe (14.8 fga per game). So everybody who has been wanting Josh to be the first option on offense has gotten their wish granted.
You're saying that Joe doesn't want to let Teague take the game over and contradict what he's saying to the media about giving Teague the reigns to this team??? If anyone is stopping Teague it's Josh and Teague himself. We just saw today how Teague deferred to Joe in the last play, and don't even get me started with the countless times that Josh has brought the ball up instead of Teague (who is always wide open). If we want to let Teague play to his strengths (quickness and speed) we should ALWAYS give the ball up to him on the fast break since he is the fastest guy on this team. If we want to let Teague develop we need to get rid of Josh because Josh will always be wanting to take the pg duties away from him.
I'm not going to argue that Teague should've shot that shot because he should. But when he handed the ball back to Joe, Joe settled for that fadeaway three, he should've drove or atleast tried a midrange shot, but a fadeaway three???? Really???
He wasn't awful tonight, he actually played decent for coming off an injury. It's just that in late game situation's, he should go inside and try to get a foul, get the layup, or find someone for an open shot.
I wouldn't say that Joe has low bbiq, but that his style of play isn't necessarily the most efficient. I wouldn't think that being an iso driven player makes Joe a dumb basketball player.
Hmmm let's see
1. Josh wanting to be traded
2. Joe's contract
3. Horf is injured....people are underplaying the effect his injury is having on this team (we have a pretty decent team with hi
I was referring to Smoove's goon squad.
BTW if Josh is just going to walk in the offseason, is he going to be able to hold us hostage ala Dwight Howard....cuz that would really suck
The main thing Joe has to do is defer more often to other players early in the shotclock. He has to realize that the game is easier when you move the ball and not try to do everything on your own. He has to realize that when guys like Pargo and Josh is on fire, maybe it's better to give the ball to them and let them do work.
more like 3-4 game streak
Pretty soon Josh is going to be taking more shots per game than Joe this season, he is only .7 under him right now. Do we really want a guy that can't hit a jumpshot as our #1 option?
There are only TWO THINGS that I hate about Josh!!!!
1. Bringing the ball up on the break
2. Shooting jumpers
Take those two issues out of the picture and Josh would be the best player on this team, an allstar, and a guy on the levels of kevin love and LMA, and he would be our franchise player!!!
