Amen brother, I have accepted this and as long as we have this "core" I will expect nothing different. Sure I am open to playoff surprises and a couple of good showings from our players come playoff time, but I am not expecting miracles. The sooner this franchise realizes that they are heading in the wrong direction the better. We need to get that one "IT" factor that makes us a contender. Until we get that, we are as you said "what we are".

We shouldn't settle for mediocrity. Is it wrong for us to get mad when a player decides to do something stupid (shoot jumpers when he shouldn't), I don't think so.

I'm not saying that Josh is not a great player, he is. But he isn't a smart one and that's what makes and breaks you in big games. If Josh took his jumpers and instead made a play for someone else or played near the rim we would win more games. It's as simple as that. Josh provides so many things on the court but because he can do everything doesn't mean that he should, if he was a little bit more conservative he would be a better and smarter player.

Why does Josh need 20+ shots to be an effective player. He can still assists, rebound, block, and steal without taking as many shots. But hey, Josh is apparently our "best offensive player". He has taken the most shots out of all hawks this season.

ok ok ok, I know it's positivitey day and all that but I had to get this off my chest. Remember last year during fourth quarters down the stretch the bench would go absolutely nuts when somebody hit a shot or if there was a huge dunk or anything! This year we have had some pretty exciting games but I hardly see any emotion out of our bench guys. I mean Josh is the only one doing anything out there and I'm getting tired of him being the only one waving a towel or jumping up or raising a fist. None of our other bench guys show any emotion. It might be because they are really old and their knees are tired (or extremely fat as in jaco's case) but I just don't get why they can't atleast stand up or something. Maybe I'm watching too many college games or something but I feel like our bench guys need to be showing support when they are not out there.

I applaud coach Drew's ability to inspire these guys, Joe's clutchness, Josh's versatility, Teague's quickness, Zaza's fortitude, Marvin's defense, and our bench's effort for these past 4 games.

Derrick Rose has an iffy jumper, Ginobili ok, Derron ok, Jeremy Lin is unproven, Jamal I guess. I still say that Joe is top ten when it comes to clutch shooting which involves every part of the court plus freethrows.This is what I don't get, we have a dude (Joe Johnson) who has been so clutch this year and we still have debate over little things like this. Shouldn't fans be able to just sit back and applaud his efforts instead of trying to measure how he is doing with the rest of the team or the rest of the NBA.

I'm not talking about guys I want to build my team around, I'm talking about closers in the last few minutes when you need somebody to get a shot off. Joe wouldn't crack my top 20 list of who I would build around but he is definitely one dude that I would want taking the last shot.I guess it was my fault for not quoting and just giving a list of ten guys.

And I'm saying even with those misses Joe is the best closer that we have and one of the best shot makers in the league.

What are you talking about we were down by 2 when Josh fouled out, and Marvin came in. It was the first overtime and Teague made a layup to tie it and get into the second overtime.

Joe had 15 more points than Josh with only 2 more shots taken, I'll take Joe every day of the week. We won because marvin came in for Josh after he fouled out. Marvin played good defense and didn't just chuck up shots like Josh.

I wouldn't say easily, Joe is a very talented dude. He plays the game the right way and he takes the shots that he wants to take. Josh takes shots that the defense gives him and not the other way around.

Joe is always gonna be there on the offensive end simply because he is gonna be doubled our tripled on most nights. Its up to josh to take advantage of that

Foul shots don't count add on to a players field goal attempts (unless you meant that Josh had 6 and 1's?). And why should Joe not have free range to shoot, his pps is better than those of Kirk, Willie, and Vlad, and his three point shooting is better than Vlad's and Kirk's.

Josh had 29 shots today he missed on 19. Can we atleast agree that Josh should not be shooting more shots than Joe ever!!! Joe scores more points on less shots than Josh, he is a better shooter and better at getting the shots he wants, not what the defense gives him.
