I think is very likely allí this is a smoke screen and most likely there is another trade we have no news about It or we keep the team and make a good selection at 16, I would like Tari Eason, BU SF solved and we just need a starting SG, Bogi, Huerter and Gallo are the trade pieces.

This is losing the common sense. 

Looking at the team, I think Bogi or Huerter and Gallo need to go. Why? We need a better fit at SG and another wing defender, Bogi and Huerter are the same player and we are destroyed with them on the floor. Gallo needs to go to clear cap space for OO and JJ, if posible upgrade defense as well.

We don't need to trade Capela or Collins, they perform well on defense and offense and are positives for the team. You just trade them for upgrades.

We need to keep things clear, Grant and DLo are not upgrades and are more expensive, that is not a improvement

Collins and 16 is a Big overpay for 4, I don't think Ivey is a sure star. Chances he is a role player with questionable defense are not low. This might be a real bad trade.

Collins is mucho greater value than Daniels.

I agree with most of the options that appear on this article. I don't like Derrick Jones Jr personnally and I think the cost/Risk of Trent Jr, Thybulle and Simmons will be too high.

Brogdon and Turner and picks for Capela and Collins, I can see that as a huge improvement for the Hawks

I don't see that we are getting better with this. If we want to move OO to PF we need a better fit, probably the best one is Myles Turner that bybthe way is available.

I would try Collins and Huerter for Turner and Brogdon

Then Capela for Wahington and 15

Then 15 and 16th pick for top 8 pick, draft Daniels

Young/Wright/Cooper

Brogdon/Bogi/Daniels

Hunter/FA/Bogi

Do we really think Daniels / OO / Gobert > Kev / JC / Cap? Because I don't think it is...actually, I know it isn't right now. Could it potentially be in 3-5 years? Sure, I guess. Gobert could also be declining when these 2 start hitting their stride in 3 years. But it's too early to answer that on Daniels and OO and I think that's a BIG problem & a BIG risk for TS to take right now when you have a team that's in a win-now mode.

I also understand the rationale of this though. We need another wing next to Trae. In a perfect world, we'd land LaVine. But that seems like a dream now and if you want that wing, seems like the best way is gambling for it in the draft. But damn that's risky as hell.

Ivey, Daniels are big question marks, bigger than any draft. This draft is weak. Ivey is a bad defender, Daniels shot ,25% from 3, how can we win with 2 players that play inside and a player that shots so poorly?

Having Huerter and Bogi is a problem, same type of player, will play a lot of minutes and we will have the same problems. 
Roster need a change, we need to have more versatility, more size, more defense.

If we get Ayton the other need for a go to scorer is taken care of. Ayton can go get a bucket he doesn’t need to be assisted by Trae on every possession to score. Unlike Capela, Ayton actually has moves offensively and don’t forget about JC as a 3rd scoring option. We’d have 3 strong scoring options where Trae can spam the 4 or the 5.

So I would say the need would be a second ball handler (unless Hunter vastly improves) and wing defender (to me if we have Ayton then a wing defender is the most important task we’d need to be addressed over another ball handler).

If we increase Gallo current contract it’s still an expiring for the next off season right 2023 ?….the receiving team wouldn’t be able to release him this off season to create cap space I don’t believe.

I disagree, we need another shot creator on the wing, a combo guard that can alleviate pressure from Trae, Ayton is not enough

I don't get all this love for middling guys.   Dort is not that great... he's less than Kev.  Honestly.   We just want to trade just to trade is what it sounds like.   I say we just resign Delon and platoon that SG position correctly... if we can't find a ball handling 2 who can play defense. 

Dort is a really great wing defender, offensively he is really límites but I think he could be a great fit with Trae.

No, we still need to make a move for a SG, one that can defend. Bogi, Gallo, Huerter can be moved. Lavigne, Brogdon could be good targets. Sort could also be a good fit, even Bruce Brown

1-4 you can get a player with star potencial.

At 7 is a real gamble with no guarantee.

No significante difference between 7 and 16.

We shouldn't trade a proven player that is near star level as Collins and 16 for a slight chance to get a player that perhaps someday is at the Collins level. Makes no sense. Specially if you give 16 additionally.

Probably there is no other opportunity in 6-8 years to pair a star C at the same age range with Trae, Hawks need to go all in on this. 

Pairing Ayton and Trae gives Atl the best chance to go for a ring. Keeping Hunter, JC and OO is a good fit. You just need a reasonable option at SG and a combo guard. You can get that from OKC. Bogi, Huerter, Capela, Gallo, are good players but just above average, if they need to go for Ayton, let's do It.

Ayton fits Trae timeline, he is a true star and can still improve a lot, he is cheaper than Gobert, he will also have bigger trade value if he does not fit. If we add Ayton we have 2 stars with similar age for years to come, we can build around them.

Gobert is 29, in 2-3 years he will start declining, if not sooner, he is more expensive and does nota fit Trae timeline.

Younger, cheaper, more upside, bigger Trae value, less trade cost... 

For me the choice is easy, too easy. If we can trade Ayton for Capela, Bogi and a pick, let's do It. No need to trade Hunter for a C with 2-3 good years left.

If you compare the production you are getting from SG and the money you have invested on it, makes no sense. Average production on offense, well below average on defense. Bogi or Huerter need to go, they are redundant and weak. If someone like Brogdon is available is a must. We need to add size and defense at SF, PF and C, we need competent defenders.

We need a good backup SF, we need to add size and defense at backup PF and C. Gallo is not a good fit to Collins, both Capela and OO lack size.

Everyone should be available for the right price, Gallo should be gone, one of Bogi or Huerter should be traded for a defensive and big SG, CAP and OO should be available for an upgrade at C, Collins should be available for an upgrade at PF. 
 

I have been saying since day one, this team needs size and strength, we cannot compete with this roster. If you cannot get it on the market, go and get it through FA. 
 

Wiseman is not available. Grant neither. Gobert probably requires a great overpay, Ayton as well. I would be only paying for Ayton if I am Travis, why? Becases he fits my star timeline and is a good for for him, I pair 2 stars and have simething to build around. 
 

If we cannot trade for him, I would try to upgrade the strength and size of the team be FA. Trade Gallo and Huerter, sign Bruce Brown or Gary Harris, Otto Porter or Kyle Anderson, Boucher or Jalen Smith, Whiteside or Hartenstein. Resign Delon,

I can see Travis upgrading the team with FA like Bruce Brown, Gary Harris, Otto Porter, Covington, Boucher, Hartenstein, Whiteside, player that provide toughness and strength.
