I still think this means no Bogdanovic

Means Kings are matching?

Name that player.
Because when we did have that player ( Dwight Howard ), people hated it.
If Dedmon is cut, there you have one option . The other options were Baynes and Noel, both are signed already but I think there are still some Cs unsigned.

We need to add a big to provide depth behind Capela. If Capela gets injured which is likely we need a raliable big behind, Okongwu and Bruno are too raw. We also need a big body to defend big centers like Embiid, Jolic, KAT... Capela, Okongwu and Bruno are all 6'10" and migh struggle with size.
That is why I wanted to keep Dedmon, I wonder if Skal can meet that role, probably too skinny to contain big centers

They'll match the offer. His the only valuable asset they have except Fox and, maybe, Bagley.
I agree, I think they are matching the offer lesding to a good but incomplete offseason as there would be a gap between quality/depth at Frontcourt and PG positions and quality/depth at wing position.

Exactly! I don’t see it any other way even if all is up for grabs in training camp I’m expecting this to be the day 1 starting lineup.
personally I think cam will be the starting SF but of course Hunter has a real chance at starting.I agree, Cam starts but I don't think there is SG or SF, there will be 2 wings with interchangeable roles on offense and defense, it will be pending on matchups. If BB becomes a Hawk, that is a big if, I think there is a chance Cam plays SG and BB plays SF.

I agree with this. If Okongwu steps up through the course of this season, I think you will see Capela moved by draft time next year, for expiring salaries and a pick. Then you potentially open up a max slot once again. I believe that this is the tentative plan already. And all the more reason to go ahead and lock up JC this offseason.
Capela is going nowhere, he was of of the best centers in the west and will be top 3 on the east, he will show how good he is. If injuries are not a problem we will be thrilled with the player we just got.

I think the split in minutes will be something like this
Trae (32)/Rondo(16)/Goodwin
Reddish(28)/Huerter(15)/Dunn(5)
Bogdan(28)/Hunter(18)/Snell(2)
Collins(16)/Gallo(24)/Hunter(8)/??
Capela(28)/Collins(14)/Okongwu(6)/Bruno
If Bogdan comes Dunn and Snell hardly see minutes, Huerter see his playing time limited and Bruno and Goodwin hardly see the court.
About off-season grade I think people is undervaluing the players we are getting, normally players playing on West teams improve a little their performance at East teams, specially centers, I think Gallo and Bogdan fit well what we do and Capela will be top 5 center on the east. Rondo is a leader, if he is engaged he will be really useful.

No but he would not have cost us 4/72. This is as bad an overpay as Bazemore.
I cannot agree with you Diesel, Bogdan is an useful player on a west conference team, Baze did not play significant minutes on any team on the league till he arrived, he played on the Hawks and did well because of Bud system, he did not had the tools Bogdan has.

Let's be real. We could have gotten the product that BB is going to give for far less than 4 and 72.
I think we jumped out there on BB because we felt that he would be like the other BB and we saw how other teams were willing to go after him. Nothing about him... thus far suggests to me that he's about to break out.
Next time, I will compare him to Baze.
I don't think there was any other quality wing available, he is a starter in 2/3 of the teams.

Well, so here it is, final move by Travis.
As I said if he gets him he will have adressed all our needs, I like the contract for Bogdan.
If Kings match, we can't say he did not try. Our main need was a quality wing, he went after Hayward but price was damn high, I am glad we did not pay that and then he sent an offer sheet for the 2nd best wing. He did everyting he could.
In the mwantime he solved the other 2 clear needs, backup PG and PF although I am not a fan of Gallo contract and Rondo addition ince qe had locked Dunn.
Overall a solid offseason, best since many time ago and showing willingness to competw this year, true willingness.

So, has Bogdanovic signed the offer sheet and Kings have 48h to match or we have to wait till he signs and then Kings have 48h to match?

Besides Torrey Craig, Wilson Chandler and Furkan Korkmaz are also available. Jordan McRae and Bryn Forbes as well. Is really slim.

Well we must be making things interesting. No announcement either way.
Well this time nobody can say that we were not trying or that we were not big players on this FA class. I take a look to the other 2 teams on a similar situation and I think we did better than Charlotte or NY. We have changed the look of the team, now we have adressed some od the problems and I think we can be competitive. Props to Hawks front office. Having said that I think our main weakness was a quality wing and we have not been able to fill that hole. Now let's hope Reddish, Hunter and Huerter show big time improvement.

If Lakers are haunting Bogdanovic I am starting to think our dream is probably gone. Lakers are going to get what they want, as in Davis trade.
Probably Iam not going to be really upset about that, I am already getting used to the idea that we need to look elsewhere.

Torrey Craig is available, Denver is out of roster spots, he might be a good wing option for us as a 3&D player.

I think we'll be seeing Dunn & even Rondo playing a lot from the 2. Everybody loves Trae, but knows he's a liability on D. I can see us playing a line up of Trae/Rondo/Huerter/Gallinari/Collins or Trae/Dunn/Gallinari/Collins/Capela at times. And with Huerters ability to handle the ball, we may be seeing Huerter moved to a sixth man role and starting Dunn. CLP definitely has a TON of options for creating matchup nightmares for opponents.
And that is exactly the problem, playing guys out of position never works. Might work for a game or two but is bad medium and long term. Succesful teams have real depth at every position. Dunn at SG will be a disaster, we have 2 good backup PGs paid a lot that are barely going to play at their position and will need to play out of position (something is bad for the team) to justify the signings. We would have been better ti guarantee one of those 5 m$ go for a wing that is clearly weaker than PG and frontcourt.

You just hate everything. You're worse than me.
, I love the Dunn signing and I think he is a great backup PG. I just don't like adding players that do not fit our timeline and at a price clearly bigger than other market signings. Instead of Gallo I would have signed Bertans and Woodand instead of Rondo I would have gone wing direction. I think Rondo either will be unhappy with his role here or will cut on Trae PT, either option is not goog for the team.

This makes Dunn a non sense signing, and he played 20mpg with Lakers, the champs. He is going to be really pissed off his PT is going to decrease at a borderline playoff team, this history is not going to end well

-
Rondo has been playing above 20 mpg all these years, are we really going to play him here so much? We are buying tickets for an unhappy Rondo and a problem on he lockeroom
-
I don’t understand why we sign Rondo, I guess it means we are out of Bogdanovic race but we still lack a wing. I would rather play Dunn than Rondo, Dunn has a good assist/To ratio and know how to run an offense.
I don’t like the move at all, terrible price as well.
-
Well, if Lakers SnT happens and we lose Bogdanovic and KCP there would be only 2 players worth signing in my opinion: Korkmaz and Wilson Chandler, perhaps Galloway as well. Our biggest need was to get a quality wing, we got a good backup PF and PG but we will still be thin at wing.
Too bad Crowder and Bradley are already gone.
Huerter, Hunter, and Cam....

Hunter and Cam are long term pieces for the Hawks, I don’t think there is a question about that. The odd man out might be Huerter but he has a elite tool that is difficult to find, he will be around for 2 more years until a decision needs to be done.
Bogdanovic is going to take 28-30 mpg at wing but Gallo is going to play mainly PF. There are a lot of scrub minutes to take for Bogi so his addition does not necessarily means cutting playing time to Cam, Hunter and Huerter.
This year, I think Cam and Hunter play 22-28 mpg, I think we might see a change here and Cam might play more than Hunter. Huerter, I think he see his playing time decreased to 20mpg, still an important player.
you must think that minute distribution result is not 48x5 as there are a lot of injuries an missed games.
