Ummm something I am considering is that instead of Collins is Capela who is traded and we receive Turner with other moving pieces as Norman Powell or Jeremy Lamb coming our way also. Is that a possibility?

Trade is Dennis for Danny Green and 28th. I am not sure about Dennis with Lebron and Davis.

I don't want to trade for DeRozan. Even a 2nd rounder. I am fine with Hayward signed as FA. Not happy to give anything for him. I don't want any one year rental as Jrue or PG specially if we give any draft pick or asset for it. I am not sure about any trade for a higher pick, will do with GSW if Hayward signs because that meana Huerter will have a tough way for minutes. I could be fine for a trade with Washington for Troy Brown and 9, might select Haliburton, Hayes, Vassell or Nesmith. We need vets but is going to be easier to add by FA. Guys like Napier, Dunn, Rivers, Mcrae, Korkmaz, Harris, Grant, Crowder, Jones Jr.... There are a lot that would have clear path for minutes here.

I agree, best player in the draft is Wiseman in my opinion, a freak of nature, a double-double machine, the true superstar in this class. I am ok giving Huerter for him, all-in bet. I don't see enough on Edwards to do it.

Although I understand Culver's youth and upside might be a little bit tempting the truth is that his impact on the tesm would be negative and we will be better with a vet FA. His stats on the year were as bad as Hunter snd Reddish and he struggled badly on the FT and on FG. As opposed as Hunter snd Reddish he did not show any improvement through the year, I would even think he was playing worse. We would be more effective with Huerter, Reddish and Hunter on the floor and he would have a hard time finding time behind them. We need some vet help on the wings. That is why I would prefer going PG or big this draft, too many young players on the wing, no space to develop all. And that is why I think Atlanta is considering trading Huerter if they get Edwards.
  6. I am still on the Haliburton, Okongwu, Hayes bandwagon. Best fits are the first two. Trade with GSW intrigues me but I don’t see clear a star on Edwards, might be a star but might be Wiggins 2.0 or Dion Waiters. I see Haliburton and Okongwu as a more sure thing.

Getting a solid good starter is what you could expect at 6th pick. The players we have available there are in line with these expectations. Bad year to be on the top 3 where you are expected to get a star.

Those are my 2 prefered players, hopefully we keep the picknand select 1. I don't want to trade a young stud for a 1 year rental or a FA.

We were not trying to win until now. We are not filling the team with crap FAs, we are filling the team with good players for now on. You must add to last year team Capela and hopefully Skal, that is a big plus on the front court. I expect Hawks to make at least 3 additional FA signings, 2 wings and a PG, hopefully a backup PF is also signed. One of the wings we are targeting is apparently Hayward which would be again a big plus. I think the players we are signing will be real contributors and will elevate the team level. #6th pick is a real asset, there is a reason teams are trying to move up. Advija, Toppin, Okongwu, Haliburton, Hayes, 3 of those will be available and are really good prospects that can grow with our team. I prefer Haliburton and Okongwud but would be happy also with Advija or Hayes. There is absolutely no reason to trade this asset for a one year rental even though Jrue is a real good player. Is not that we need to give our pick to receive a good vet, we have tons of cap space and can sign them, there are players as valuable as Jrue that fit on the timeline Hawks are following, Jrue does not. If we end with Hayward you get same impact without giving anything. Jrue is a fantastic player. Reason he was not winning with Davis was how the roster was built, rest of the team was absolutely crap specially on the wings.
  10. OMG the two trades I have nightmares with... Best 2 Euros on each decade that we passed on....
  11. Pau Gasol? I don't see him on the list. That is a selection that I still remember as one of the worst trades ever for Hawks

Is going to be a long wait till the draft day. I think we have good cards to make a run at the offseason but trading John Collins I think would be a major mistake that Hawks would regret for years. I really hope John stays with us for many years.
  14. I think you never have enough shooters, Joe Harris can play SF.

My interpretation of the list you posted is that 9 was goingo to GS, 2 to Atl and 6 to Was so I was assuming it was 9 and Huerter for 2.

    Ask Supes

So let me understand something Supes, do you think there is a possibility Hawks trade 9 and Huerter for 2 and take Edwards while receiving 9,37 and Troy Brown Jr for 6?? So we walk from draft with Edwards, 37 and Troy Brown Jr for Huerter and 6 because that is for me a great scenario.

    Ask Supes

So if megadeal happens Huerter stays and Hayward is not signed. If Hayward is signed, megadeal is gone and we try Huerter and 6 for 2. I am starting to think megadeal could be Collins for Siakam or Capela for Turner. Or it could be just Atlanta taking some vets for a team to give them cap for 2021. Anyway Supes said the PG could come or not so I assume is just a filler. And the key part here is that there is no agreement for Oladipo between Indy and 3rd team so most likely is not happening.
  18. Wiseman is the real all-star on this draft, he will be the best player. I think Ball and Edwards will be more busts than boom. Okongwu, Toppin and Haliburton will be a lot of years on the league. Okoro will be a big bust, that is my prediction.

    Ask Supes

The discussion I remember is the Myles Turner one. Regarding Oladipo I guess we are the ones eating salary so that Oladipo goes to a contender. I remember us as a possible Wiggins destination but nothing more. Hill makes 9 million$, I guess could work.

Edwards is not a playmaker, he is a chucker.

Based on rumors it can be Miami, Milwaukee, Brooklin and NY. The PG is either Holiday or Nunn or George Hill/Di Vicenzo or Nktilina. I am beginning to think might be George Hill for Dedmon and I like it.

Trae scored 29 ppg with better percentages, this kid barely reached 20 ppg with lower percentages. The offensive production is not comparable. Cam is much better fit for Trae at SG, he creates a mismatch on offense and is really good fit on defense, he doesn't need the ball to be effective.
  25. gurpilo

    Ask Supes

I see the SG version of Andre Wiggins, high volume scorer, low efficiency and below average defense, do not translate to wins you will always find a reason foe the losses, high scoring will lead you to a big contract, then you realize he is the problem and then is impossible to move him. I find so many coincidences that is scary. With Cam at Sg we can be a contender, with Edwards we are the Timberwolves. Edwards will need the ball and will take it out of Trae's hands, bad for thrñe team. We already have a hig volume player, we don't need another one.
