    I agree that the sample size is low, but Griffin is now our 3rd best player on WAR and RAPTOR stats, his offensive advanced stats are insane, best on the team, on defense he is much better than Justin Holiday and Trae. His defense is good and there is no reason to play Holiday ahead of him, he should be getting 15-20 mpg all nights. Holiday is our worst player by far. JJ is the only player with Murray that is positive on offense and defense, he is playing great and deserves some extra minutes as well. I think Nate is doing right with front court minutes although we could use a big body for certain matchups but he really needs to stop playing Holiday and start playing Griffin.

    Exactly! That is the reason why was so important to give JJ minutes last year, TLC minutes. That is the reason why is so important to give AJ minutes. I don’t know if Hawks management are realizing about the chance we have to build a contending roster. We have 3 players on rookie contract that can contribute and are playing winning basketball, JJ, AJ, OO, that is exceptionally rare and gives an unprecedented chance to fill a roster with quality vets and build a winning and deep roster. Additionally we have a set starting lineup, a capable backup PG and a great bench SG. Considering the starting lineup of Trae/DJM/Hunter/Collins and Capela A bench with Aaron Holiday/Bogi/Griffin /JJ/Okongwu… We don’t need Justin Holiday, Frank or Krejcy money on those positions, we need that money on a quality defensive big, like Bamba or even Whiteside or Cousins. Never hurts to have a wing like Holiday although we can fill that gap with Martin but we really need a center with size for certain matchups. Add Bamba, Whiteside, Cousins or a quality big and we can be a dangerous team. Look at the roles that Drummond, Robin Lopez or Deandre Jordan are playing, they impact on wins. With this roster is clear what is the position we need to look at on next draft, unless there is a cannot pass guy at that position.

    Don’t look now, but JJ is our 4th best player on advanced stats on Raptor and WAR stats, better than Collins, Hunter and Okongwu. His game is satisfying ton show.

    I agree, I was doubting to incluye them as que normally win but is a problem for us.

    Holiday, López, Anteto bully us on the court every time and we don’t have any answer for them, no player on our squad can match them physically, we are the only team on that situation. Miami that has been mentioned as one team similar to us can throw Lowry, Butler and Dedmon, we can’t. They bullied us on he playoffs, we did not have any answer for Charlotte on the paint. No answer for Mobley, Allen, it was worst with Markkanen. No answer for Banchero, Bamba, WCJ, Isaac, Bol… No answer for Towns, Gobert No answer for PJ Washington, McDaniels, Richards No answer for Jalen Smith, Jackson and Turner No answer for Zion and Valanciunas No answer for Embiid. We are the only team that cannot throw big role players to slow them, everyone on the roster is going to be physically bullied. Let’s put another example, financial, all the theories ask to diversify your investments, is like we are betting all our money in Tesla. You need to have answers for different situations.

    I have been saying the same for years. Once we decided Trae was our choice instead of Doncic and we already got Collins we should have proceed to fill the roster accordingly. Young is small and thin for a PG, Collins is thin for a PF and is fine but You need to have big and strong SG and C for them. Bogi is not that guy, Murray is a step on the right direction. Capela is not that guy although is not that bad fit neither. But more important, their backups and the rest of the team need to be big so that the team is able to adjust the team for some matchups and there we have a problem Aaron Holiday is a small PG although I am surprised with his defense. No big backup defensive stopper PG. Bogi is a shooter, we lack a defensive stopper at Guard, other than Murray. Martin? Hunter is fine at SF, but we cannot have Holiday as backup SF in a team with Trae and Collins. We need to go with Griffin. JJ is not the defensive presence and do not have the physicality we need for thr matchups Collins cannot play, as Orlando, Milwaukee, Cleveland,…. That is why I was asking the Hawks to sign Jalen Smith, a really big PF with good defense and floor spacing, he was the fit. Okongwu is not a backup C for Capela, you need a big man and some floor spacing. I don’t know who is the answer but certainly Kaminsky is not that guy. Someone like Cousins or Whiteside would not hurt.

    On Raptor and WAR Young and Murray are the best, followed by Collins and Capela, then Aaron Holiday. Hunter, JJ and OO are pretty even and Justin Holiday is the worst by far. I understand that the sample is small but Griffin and Tyrese Martin stats are really good.

    I fully agree with that statement, but there are other options than Jaxson Hayes, I would make a move for Bamba instead or just sign as FA Hassan Whiteside or Demarcus Cousins, we need to protect the paint.

    And no Rozier, this is an embarrassing loss. Absolutely embarrassing loss, I am really worried about our lack of strength and size, we need size and strength at 3 and 5 mainly but also at 4. I am concerned about what may happen when we face good teams, we barely beat 2 bad teams, Houston and Orlando and lost hard against a bad team. Is only one game and there is no need to overact to one game but the tendency is not good.

    The kid plays finally and shows he can play better than JH, I cannot understand why he is not playing.

    I think we were defending well, but we had a offensive struggle, no basket on 10 shots, they got the rebound, run and score, that is how they got hot, we have defended some of this shots well but they can’t miss, 50% from 3pt, teams sometimes get hot when you keep missing.

    Miami showed the NBA how to stop Trae and now teams are pressing more Trae and causing him problems. Murray should help but he committed a lot of TO. Charlotte is feasting on the paint and using his physicality to take us out of the game.

    37 points on a quarter by Hornets bench mainly! And you think we don’t have a bench problem? JH is horrible, he is -16 today, same from AH, -15 although I think he might be more useful. JJ was playing well, good defense and hustle and they take him out of the game to play JH 10 minutes?? For -16? We got bullied in the paint by Hornets reserve bigs, Richards, Thor, McDaniels, we have a serious size problem Hornets already know it on game 3, is so obvious, what do you think is going to happen with the rest of the teams? Hornets are without Ball and Rozier, TS need to make a move or 2.

    If we lose with Charlotte without Ball and Rozier I am ready to press the panic button. Richards is dominating the paint with his size, we have a real problem in the paint

    We were tight with a bad team, we were highly outrebounded, I understand why people like what they see but we will be in serious trouble with big and athletic teams. As I said we are small and we lack size, we need to fix that. I love the way we used Collins, I like what I saw from Hunter, great game from both. Murray was great too, Trae had really bad shot selection. Capela did not anchor the paint. I think Capela is a real capable center but is far from his real level. I really think we could use some help at PF and C, even a big SF, we need to get bigger. Can you imagine this team playing Minnesota?

    Is true Bogdanovic played well last year, on offense he is really good, on defense he has big lapses, overall I think he is really positive but needs a big SF that can defend, JH is not that guy, fit is bad. Harkless was a good fit. Okongwu, I like the guy but is a really undersized center, we are buying upside but real production is still just good, not elite for a bench player. He needs a big PF, someone like Jalen Smith. JJ might be a good fit but he is unproven. Aaron Holiday, Justin Holiday, played well for bad teams from the bench, can they play well on a playoff team? I have big doubts. I think they are below average bench players now, although I think AH might surprise. Kaminski is terrible. Overall our best players, AH, BB, OO are small and lack strength, the SF and PF are bad or rookies and don’t provide the size or strength. The fit is bad and the talent is not as high as you think.

    Don’t want to be the only one in disagreement but our bench is terrible, below average on the league and we have serious lack of size and strength. Okongwu and Bogi are decent bench players, AH, JH, Kaminsky are end of the bench players on most teams. Griffin and JJ are unproven, I also see the upside but is unrealistic to expect meaningful contribution for them this year. I am not saying is not going to work but there are decent chances this will not work properly. Hopefully I am wrong. Starting unit is really good but still we lack size and strenght, we are bullied on the paint quite often.

    Cody Zeller, Favors, Cousins, Whiteside…. We could use one of this centers definately, Cousins or Whiteside are the best in my opinion
