I hope Marvin is back and 100% in a few days. Anyways does this open up the opportunity to make Zaza a starter. It may be a reach but Morris or Solo? I would like to see how Zaza or one of the other two guys perform starting the C position with the next few pre-season games. Maybe Marvin would be more comfortable in a 6-man role like he was in UNC.

I guess this tool hasn't been paying attention to the team. The bench is not thin. It is a much improved bench from last year. The only negative thing that happened this off-season was loosing Chill. But Law should be able to contribute more, Flip and Mo are nice additions, Othello Hunter could be a strong pick up from the D-league, Gardner did a decent job in Chicago and I can see him doing better in Atlanta where players are more athletic. Other than that I dont know why he would say we have nothing to build on. Thats total BS.

If JJ puts up Ray Allens esq numbers that would be a slight improvement from his performance now. Ray averaged a few less minutes with more points, similar rebounds, slightly less assist (but JJ has better players around him as we have said) and a better 3p%.

Any recent news on the injury? I WOULD like to see him play season opener.

Why has Othello missed the past two games?

The ratings this year are pretty good (for Top 50) with the exception of Leon Powe at 30 and Ronnie Brewer at 41. I was shocked that JJ was not in the top 50 and you have players like Brewer, Powe, Louis Williams and AMIR JOHNSON ranked in front of JJ. Thats when the rankings started to frustrate me from an NBA fans perspective and a loyal Hawks fan. Anways I find it very cool how each player has a "complete profile" with and outlook for the '08-'09 season. At the end of the profiles they compare each player to an NBA player. Josh Smith Most similar at age = Tracy McGrady Joe Johnson Most similar at age = Michael Finely I find it weird that ESPN said that Brewer was similar to Chilldress and Powe similar to Hakim Warrick. Chilldress would never have been ranked in the top 50 and Warrick hasn't done much of anything. Overall their rating are barely noteworthy IMHO.

What happened to the previous banner? I loved the banner with all the former and present Hawks players. Did NBA make you change it because it had the Hawks logos on the jersey and they threatened that it could be copyright infringement.
