Best luck to Salim. Unfortunately it never worked out for him here. I think he can be a solid player though. I enjoy what he said about the franchise in the closing paragraph. Thought that was very professional.

I like Acie when we drafted him and I really started to like the way he drove the lane and moved the ball during the playoffs. I think he is a Jason Terry in the making. He can drain the 3 and he can dish the ball.

I would rate Smith around 25-30.

YEA RIGHT! Overpaid! He was market price. Deng and AI got overpaid. Smith got a reasonable contract for his experience and ability. AI and Deng have been in the league just as long and have similar stats to Smith but got way more money.

I'm obviously not talking about when Ellis is injured. When Ellis is healthy he is better than Bibby sorry. Thanks for showing them that. Calderon is also better IMHO because he is younger. But Bibby is a better fit for the Hawks because he is a veteran and we have enough young players on the team. But I would def. say Calderon > Bibby.

I agree. Great post. The J-Chill incident was unfortunate but the Hawks had the chance to step in and try and lure him into staying. I just think they weren't truly interesting in overpaying him. Either way Sund has made some nice signings, I just think he needs to get another solid backup if we want to be a contender for the top 4 in the East.

This is an interesting topic. First off as others have said Zaza does not play PF. He can play it, but he does not do a good job. As for the Bagaric situation I don't even know what this kid has to offer. He didn't play much in the NBA, but he apparently did well in Europe. Last year was interesting with AJ and Lue. Lue was out a lot, and AJ did have a good streak of games. But do ya'll recall why we made the trade for Bibby? It was because AJ and Lue just weren't cutting it anymore. We were about to loose everything and loose hopes for the playoffs. Yes, they were good in the start but I honestly think we took a major step moving on when we traded them. I don't think we need to worry about their absence anymore. p.s. I would love to get Foster. What's the deal with him? Is he a RFA, FA or just trade bait?

I would say Bibby is one of the elite PG's in the East. In the league I would say there are about 12 PG's in I would take over Bibby. Here is my list: Paul, Williams, Nash, AI, Billups, Agent Zero, Baron, Jason Kidd, Calderon, J. Terry, Ellis, Barbosa.
