Combined with the fact that the Pacers are still slow even with their small line-up, I like us to close Thursday. Milsap will dominate Copeland, and I look for Jeff Teague to play a big part in taking us home.
Woman: "LOL! And then he told me you shot an airball from this exact spot and then shot another one TWO possesions later! LOL! Tell me he was teasing you!"
Josh: "Not really understanding why you're laughing"
I think that's called instilling confidence that we trust you to take and knock down the open jumper if they give it to you. Alot of ya'll acting like he dribbling all around the court and just pulling up with hands in his face (*cough* Mike Bibby *cough*)...these are wide open 3's he are taking and for our sake making as of late. As long as he doesn't keep shooting them when he misses a few we'll be fine.
The thing that is most impressive to me with Mario is that he does the majority of his defending with his feet and not his hands, he doesn't do much hand checking which is very impressive with the speed of the game.
While Marvin's defense is missed it's his attack style of offense that IMO is missed the most. It seemed like everyone became complacent watching Joe drive in the 4th quarter yesterday with success and instead of emulating him decided to take jump shots. Add in Marvin's above average free throw shooting and you can see why this team struggles against the better teams in close games..we can't make consistent free throws to save our lives.
I think it all boils down to Smoove...if he keeps up his current play for the rest of the season we'll be a serious threat come playoff time with Marvo back in the starting lineup.
