  1. Like the $25 million TPE for Collins? You think we'll actually use that? Maybe you're right, but based on what we've seen thus far, I'd say it's not too likely.
  2. Cap saving doesn't do a thing for the team.
  3. You might care about relieving the Ressler's cash flow concerns, but the fans do not rate it too highly.
  4. I was thinking more in terms of constant 30 foot three point attempts with 15 seconds left on the shot clock, turnovers, etc.
  5. You left out the late second round draft pick.
  6. Oops. John Collins stock and team value is even worse in Utah than it was here in Atl….. it is a miracle that Utah took him off our hands....... https://www.si.com/nba/jazz/news/jazz-john-collins-trade-biggest-regret-2023 Yeah, you're absolutely right...basketball related. Anyway, I'm done. Do me a favor, and I'll do you a favor: "Ignore" button.
  7. I know. No problem. I changed the font size.
  8. Pardon me. I should have changed the font size from the dictionary font size. I corrected it on the original post.
  9. The only person on our roster that is indispensable is JJ. It's called "cut and paste."
  10. No, I'm not. The definition doesn't imply that you are making a direct insult to the "belittled" person (you can't make a thing feel unimportant.) Be·lit·tle /bəˈlid(ə)l/ verb 1.make (someone or something) seem unimportant:"this is not to belittle his role"
  11. I doubt that. Trae was all for getting rid of him, because he dared to stand up to him in a team meeting.
  12. I'm not suggesting we take JC back, but these people who belittle him probably couldn't make a layup if they were guarded by a 95 year old grandma using a walker.
  13. Would you want a starting 5 of Trae caliber players? How about Bey? How about Hunter? How about OO? None of them can carry a team any more than JC can. Why single him out?
  14. He-ur maybee this cayan hep. Trae acted like he wuz all excited to get together and play wif Murray. Now it seems as though Trae and his daddy are ready to unload Murray. Murray took a team frenlee deal cuz he thought he wuz gonna be a part a sumthin grate. Ah guess the thrill haz worn off for Trae.
  15. Yeah, Utah would be so much better off with Rudy Gay and a second rounder. Those are things that would put Utah over the top., if only they had hung on to them. They could have afforded to buy Rudy Gay a walker.
  16. just my opinions: Buffkin was not that impressive to me in summer camp or preseason. Maybe he'll get a lot better, but I expected more. Gueye showed some potential but as a 6'10" small forward who needs to put on a good bit of weight. Somebody get that man some cheeseburgers!! Lundy seems to have some potential, but can he develop any consistency? I know these guys are young and inexperienced, and maybe I am hoping for too much too soon, but it doesn't look like people are banging on the doors wanting to play here. When we get someone who wants to be here, we get rid of them as quickly as possible, or make no secret of the fact that we are shopping them around the league. I think Murray could have gotten more money to play elsewhere, but took a team friendly contract to stay here, only to find that the guy he wanted to play alongside appears to have thrown him under the bus. I know it's a business, but when someone makes a sacrifice to play for you, don't throw them out the window.
  17. I would suggest that any healthy student who opts out of playing in a bowl game for his college should be made financially responsible for all costs related to tuition, housing, meals, conditioning and healthcare, and travel costs for his entire time at the college. They were provided with these benefits at the expense of the college, and they chose to renege on their end of the agreement. However, since they are to receive all this money from the NFL these costs should only be a drop in the bucket to these students who chose their wellbeing over the college that provided all these costs and services for them, right?
  18. Given our recent draft history, it would be better not to depend on the draft.
  19. That and the fact that he's already overpaid and wants to be paid more. If we're going to pay for a superstar, then let's go out and get a real superstar.
  20. The story of this franchise under Ressler.
  21. What is the fascination with the TPE? We have a big one that we are apparently going to do nothing with. Why would we want another one?
  22. Pretty good money for a guy who has never averaged 10 ppg for a season or 10 rpg for a season.
  23. E The trade was all about saving money for the owners. Period. (Well, and to appease Trae.) They gave away Collins for a bag of chips and a half empty can of Coke. There is not a single player on this team whose game doesn't have very significant warts. It's okay. You can admit it. You don't like Collins. That's no secret. I'm sure Collins did not expect the offense to revolve around him, but including him on a pick and roll every now and then would not be unreasonable. Ask Embiid which player he'd rather defend on a PNR, Collins or Capella. Capella never posterized him. I've never seen Capella look down at the rim. Sending Collins down to the corner and rarely, if ever passing the ball to him would frustrate any player, especially one with some degree of offensive ability. Trae got his panties in a wad because Collins dared to call him out about moving the ball. around. Criticism of Trae is not allowed without retribution.
