  1. I call the Braves cheap. They got rid of Freeman, then Swanson. Riley's next, then Acuna.
  2. Most people recognize that JC and Capela was not a good fit.
  3. Well, maybe we won't have listen to you bash him all day long anymore. Select your next target. BTW, tell us who you do like, and let us trash him for a change of pace.
  4. Given our track record, I say it is quite possible. We overspend for mediocre talent, and Ressler will get booed out of the building if the whole thing was just to save him some money. Plus if they give ridiculous overpayments for mediocre talent like OO & JJ, we'll dig ourselves deeper into a hole.
  5. Brook Lopez would have been nice when we had a low post PF who could score. Maybe our 2nd round draft pick can score.
  6. As for your last point, we know they're not going to trade Trae, so we're limited in that respect.
  7. You don't win championships with cheap owners.
  8. He is our worst defensive player and has no athleticism.
  9. Wow. The biggest salary dump I've ever seen. Nothing but junk for a good, solid player and leader. I don't want to hear any more from ownership about us being willing to be in the luxury tax. This may be the worst ownership ever.
  10. Another rebuild. That would have gone over like a lead balloon with the fans.
  11. Honest question: Do you think our players will actually listen and learn from Snyder, and put what they have learned into action? Are they physically, emotionally and intellectually capable of doing so? (i.e. are they too set in their ways?)
  12. So you think Prunty would not have played CC or JC?
  13. I was calculating off the information presented; 3 wins, 5 losses. However I am using my tablet, which has very small print. Did I misread a 6 as a 5?
  14. The math doesn't agree with you either. 3+5=8. There are 82 games in a season. Simple observation implies at least 30 wins, based on 80 games, perhaps 31 based on rounding with the 2 additional games.
  15. Maybe Quin doesn't want to risk Tree getting injured in essentially meaningless games.
  16. I know a lot of folks vehemently disagree with me, so I don't post much anymore, but I saw an article about Wembanyama, and it had some videos and pictures of other extremely tall centers. I have always thought that Boban Marjanovich was a funny guy on his commercials, and that he is an old fashioned low post center, and had good offensive skills around the basket. I watched a highlight video on him, and surprisingly, he could run a fast break, catch the ball around the foul line, and still dribble down the lane and dunk it. I saw several other instances of him dunking the ball flat footed or on tiptoes. I haven't had much of an opportunity to watch him play, and he might be a little slow on defense, but he can score in the low post and rebound. I don't know his contract status, but I wouldn't expect that he has a big dollar contract. It would be nice to have a 7'4" center who wasn't as skinny as a rail. They don't seem to play him much in Dallas. Maybe we could trade some of our spare part cheap roster players and a bag of chips and get him here. He advertises for State Farm, and he'd be playing in State Farm Arena. Okay, I'm finished. Let the insults begin. (I do think he is worth taking a look at.)
  17. The way they've worded it, each team keeps its own draft pick, and we're swapping Bertans for Collins straight up. We already have #15. They already have #10.
  18. Maybe you should pay attention to him in time outs. See for yourself. Yes, it's perfectly normal when talked to about spreading the ball around to completely stop shooting altogether. That's a temper tantrum whether you admit it or not. Where are the stars lining up to play alongside Trae? "Most overrated" doesn't sound too encouraging. So far, getting further and further away from a title. Doesn't sound like making things up to me. Perhaps you should pay attention to things going on around our team.
  19. You only read what you want to read. As I said, I am not gung ho on getting Siakam, I was just pointing out it would be nice if we could get someone of value for him. If Trae shows that he can grow up and make this team a winner, I am happy to have him here. However, he has shown a great deal of immaturity for someone of his experience level, and that has been a disappointment. I hope he doesn't get Snyder fired. Trae already doesn't pay attention in time out huddles, and it's only been a few weeks.
  20. No, it just indicates you can't depend on him to be there when you need him. Everybody was all over Murray last night, but he carried the team for the first two games. Comprende?
  21. Not so fast. We signed Julius Erving back in the 1970s. The problem was we didn't own his draft rights, and the league ultimately nixed the signing. Erving enjoyed playing with Maravich and Hudson in practice.
  22. Getting Siakam was not a personal goal of mine, I just saw it as an opportunity to unload Trae and get a talented player in return instead of a bunch of mediocre players to make the salaries match.
