  1. noticed tha Zaza looks like he has trimmed down at least 15 pounds. I believe Woodson stunted him offensively . He seems to be taking a liking to the new motion offense, and the weight loss seems to be helping on both sides of the ball as well.
  2. He would be our SF. He needs to lose 5 or so pounds tho. I would trade Mo Evans expiring contract, PHX 2nd round pick, and another future 2nd round pick With those 2nd round picks, I think they would take on 1 mil for a season to get from under the 3 years Johnson has left in his deal.
  3. I was thinking Crawford, Bibby, and first round pick for CP3 Paul/Teague JJ/JC2 Williams/Evans Smith/Powell/Horford Horford/Shaq/Zaza
  4. He is 7-1 300 pounds and has played under Sloan for 3 years. I think Powell is best suited as a PF, but he can fill in at C from time to time, but we need a big body center that can develop into a player in the future, and Fesenko could be that potentially. The only thing is he's a RFA. With Jefferson, Milsap, and Okur, he might be able to slip from their fingers. If that doesn't work, we go for Shaq at the BAE
  5. New coach or not, it was obvious are bench players were nott that good. If we just upgrade our frontcourt depth with more than just bodies(Morris/Collins), we will be much improved with the new motion offense. This can happen without trading anybody. Depending on how we look in the new offense, I could see a player or two getting dealt for somebody significant at the trading deadline.
  6. Bynum, Gasol, and Odom were the reasons he didnt get much PT, but he is a good defender with a reliable10-12 footer
  7. We need to pick up two big bodies asap. It doesnt even have to be Shaq. Anthony Tolliver 6-10 243- Isnt exactly the best defender, but is relentless on the boards, runs the floor well, and can score in limited time (12pts 7reb) DJ Mbenga 7-0 255 -Phill Jackson has praised him for his relentless motor, rebounding, and high-level defense without fouling out.(A huge upgrade over Collins) PG:Teague/Bibby SG:JJ/JC/JC2 SF:Williams/Smith/Evans PF:Smith/Tolliver/Horford/Aminu C: Horford/Zaza/Mbenga
  8. Its looking like they are finalizing a deal. I wonder if they would be able to get Danny Green out of the deal as well. Marvin+2nd(PHX) for Shaq and Danny Green Matt Barnes- 1st prefererance Josh Howard-Talented, but Coming off ACL injury. Might command a bit more than TPE tho Tracy McGrady- Could be steal if he shows any sign of health I believe that all can be acquired with our 3.6 TPE I would dig into some of the MLE to get Anthony Tolliver PG:Teague/Bibby SG:JJ/Crawford/JC2 SF:Barnes/Green/Evans PF:Smith/Horford/Tolliver C: Horford/Shaq/Zaza
  9. Move JJ to SF where he can be more of a mismatch Sign Nate Robinson w/ some of that TPE from Childress deal(2.5mil) Sign DJ Mbenga w/ the remaining TPE Trade Marvin and Bibby to Golden ST for Biedrens and Tolliver(Signed and traded in the deal) MLE: Earl Watson/Matt Barnes Starters: Teague-Robinson-JJ-Smith-Horford Bench: Watson-Crawford-Barnes-Tolliver-Biedrens-Crawford-Evans-Mbenga
  10. ATL trades Josh Childress(PG,SG,F)7mil , ZaZa Pachulia (C/F)4.25mil CLE sends Anderson Varejao,(F/C)7.1 , Jamario Moon (SF), 3mil Cle Roster before using the TLE PG:Williams/Gibson SG:Parker/West SF:/Childress/D.Green PF:Jamison/Hixon C : Pachulia/Hixon Hawks Roster: We pick up Anthony TolliverF/C(6-9 245) 12pts 7reb, and Josh Howard SF(6-6 210) 15pts 6reb(can be had for cheap coming off of injury) Teague JJ Moon Smith Horford Bench: Bibby JC JC2 Evans J.Howard Varejao Tolliver
  11. I would be all over that. I would also trade Jamaal Crawford, Mo Evans, and 1st round pick to MIN for Al Jefferson and Sasha Pavlovic Use the MLE to select as follows: Jarvis Hayes/Shannon Brown STARTERS: PG:Ellis SG:JJ SF:Hayes PF:Smith C:Horford BENCH: PG:Teague SG:Brown/Crawford SF:Pavlovic/Sy PF:Jefferson/J Augastine C :Jefferson/Zaza
  12. First round exit? Really? Bibby is far from what he was and cant compete on the defensive side of the ball, Marvin is the most under-achieving hawks in recent memory. The only thing i have to say about Craw is he is he is over 30, Although he is talented, he is just now coming off his best season as a pro, We would delay potential offensive decline by getting a guy as prolific if not moreso while being able to get a younger talent(24 years old) I dont know how this is such a horrible trade. We would get a combo guard who could play point with teague till he is ready. ATL said Horford will stay a Center. With that being said, a defensive oriented backup C who can give 6pts 6reb w/20min would be nice. Also, his heart problem hasnt been a problem since his surgery. Radmanovic would simply be getting a 7mil expiring contract
  13. I swear u guys have a problem with every possible thing. Turiaf isnt stiff. He is an above average defender at the 5, but not on offense. All we need is 20 minutes from him and that is what he averages per season.
  14. I would love for us to net Ronny Turiaf in a trade with GS. I just watched one of his mixes, and he looked impressive. He had close to 60%FG and is a fiery defender. Give back J.Crawfords expiring contact, Marvin + Bibby to GS for Monta Ellis, Ronny Turiaf, Vladimir Radmanovic's expiring contract. Then we get Kyle Korver with the MLE to plug in at SF and be our sharp shooting wingman PG:Ellis/Teague SG:Johnson/Ellis/Crawford SF:Korver/Johnson/Evans/Radmanovic(far end of the bench) PF:Smith/Horford C :Horford/Turiaf/Zaza I would like the versatility of this lineup with the motion offense we have coming
  15. Am i the only person who thinks that Joe Johnson may be abit to heavy at the SG spot. At 240, he is 20 pound heavier than the averageSG and would be the 3 heaviest SF in the NBA(behind Lebron, and Artest.) Joe seemed to add on weight after the 06-07 season when he averaged 25pts 4reb 4ast 47.1 FG% 38.0 3PT% (Best season stat-wise as a hawk) If he were to get to about 220-225, I think it would benefit him on both sides of the ball. 1.LD doesnt want him making love to the basket ball, and with this new offense, he wont. He will move more with out the ball more scoring off screens, pick and rolls(One of the most efficient players in that category). 2. His abillity to have a quicker first step attacking the basket (FT attempts is something that has been missing in his game) 3.This could also help him from wearing out as much torward the end of the season defending the elite guards and forwards of the league like has the past 2 seasons 4. Help reduce the chance of injuries. If i were the ownership, this would be something I would push. With the max money he received, he needs to maximize his potential, as does the coaching staff. If Joe was to pull a big time FA this offseason like he said he is attempting to I would be ecstatic. We are two trades and a longterm decision away from being a true force in the east. The longterm decision is deciding between Horford or J.Smith. While Smith is exciting(16pts, 9 reb,2blk and 4ast, his maturity and on court decisions leave alot to be desired. His strengths are dunking in transitiion, rebounding, and weakside blocking. We would still be the highlight factory with or without him. He would be ideal trade bait along with Jamaal Crawford Chillz, Marv and Bibby to pick up a big time player(Paul,Melo) ,a bigman(Biedrens/Okafur), and a few minimum contracts. Horford is a good C, but will be a better PF. I say this because he has all the tools(B-ball IQ, mid range jumper, vision, Rebounder,athleticism/motor, and above average passer and on ball defender). He is a 14pt 10reb 1blk 2ast guy giving up 20-30 pounds out of position every other night as the 4th option. Put him at the 4 as the 3rd option and he could efficiently put up 20pt 10+reb and 3-5 ast guy. Im really not trying to bash Smoove, I think Horford will be a better all around PF longterm. Al Horford (does this look like a C to you) Some highlights to look at.. (possible acquisitions) Emeka Okafur
  16. If that trade happens, I would like to get Andris Biedrins and Brandan Wright for Williams and Bibby
  17. I have a feeling JJ is going to bolt to Chicago with Bosh. Wade is going to NJ w/Lebron S&T JJ to CHI for Joe Pryzbilla,Jarred Bayless and future 1st round pick (This is if they complete the Deng for J.Bayless, and Pryz deal) S&T Josh Childress to Washington for Al Thornton and Yi Jianlan Trade Marvin ,Bibby, and 1st to GS for Monta Ellis and Reggie Williams Trade Josh Smith, Jamaal Crawford and Al Thornton to DEN for Carmelo Anthony and Aaron Aflallo We sign Shaq with the Mid-Level-Exception PG:Teague/Bayless SG:Ellis/Afflalo/Crawford SF:Anthony/R.Williams/Evans PF:Horford/Jianlan C :O'neal/Pryzbilla expiring 7.5mil/Zaza Our TOTAL would be 59 million before using the MLE on Shaq. We would be looking at close to 10 million dollars free after next season to after a defensive Center(Dalembert,T.Chandler,K.Perkins,Kristic)
  18. Gearon said he would be willing to go over the luxury tax if it meant him getting Lebron or a Lebron like player. melo definitely isnt Lebron, but he is way better than JJ. We wouldnt be over the luxury tax by very much. ATL sends JJ, and 1st to DAL DAL sends Butler, and Marion to DEN DEN sends Melo(Do I have to explain), and Afflalo(Great spot up shooter and Defense oriented) to ATL J.Smith,J.Crawford, and Bibby to NO for CP3(The point we hoped for in 05) and Emeka Okafor (Much more effective with a defensive PF alongside him) We sign Josh Childfress (Cheap, Good D, moves well without the ball PG:CP3/ Teague SG:Chillz/ Afflalo SF:Melo/ Williams PF:Horford/Joe Smith C : Okafor/ Zaza
  19. This would be my plan if JJ decides not to return We trade Mike bibby back home for Jason Thompson and a 2nd round pick. They are ridiculously under the cap, and their is nobody behind Udrih. Bibby would be a familliar face to their franchise who can bring veteran leadership and a good spot up jump shot With the addition of Dalembert ,Cousins,Whiteside and Landry, they are pretty stacked at the 4/5 position. They have good young talent at the 3 spot with Casspi and D,Green. T.Evans and Garcia make a good tandem at the two spot. The kings look set at all positions except PG, and we could assist them with that. We trade the rights to Childress to WAS for a 1st round pick in 2011 FA: Nate Robinsom Craig Smith PG:Teague/Robinson SG:JCrawford/Jo Crawford SF:Smith/Williams PF:Horford/C.Smith C :Thompson/ZaZa G.Siler M.West

I thought we had the full MLE plus the 3million from last night. If its not quite 10 we could try to get mo evans involved in that trade as well to add 2 mil for our cause.

With close to 10 million in cap space, it would be awesome if we could make that happen. We would then send Josh Childress, Jamaal Crawford's expiring contract, and Zaza Pachulia to WASH for Gilbert Arenas and Javell McGee (Im pretty sure Arenas would be down for restructuring his deal abit) PG:Teague 11pts 6ast/Bibby 8pts 3ast SG:Arenas 20pts 7ast /Crawford 9pts 3reb/Evans SF:Smith/18pts 8reb/Williams 12pts 7reb/Evans PF:Horford 16pts 12reb/Smith C: Lee18pts 10reb/McGhee 7pts 6reb 2blks
  22. i totally agree. He could become a nice piece in an offense with a facilitator and good ball movement. im thinking 18pts 7 reb 3ast and 2stl. He knows how to get to the basket whenever he wants to, gets to the ft line, and has a nice stroke in spot up situations. He has also improved creating off the dribble as well as his baby hook shot when he flashes across the block. He was reduced to being the 5th option guy when iso joe and craw dribbled 16 seconds off the clock. The main thing i think he needs to work on is finishing a lil better at the basket although he has improved in that category.
  23. He would be an inexpensive upgrade to our depth in the frontcourt. At 6-9 255 he could add interior defense and good rebounding. He has averaged about 4pts and 3reb's in just 11 minutes of play. I dont think he will come in and be a 15 and 10 guy, but i think he could be a 9pts and 7 reb player if given 15 or so minutes between the 4&the5.
  24. Think about this. Just about any assistant who goes against a stubborn head coach wont have a job. He has to implement what his coach tells him to. People need to realize they are not equals. Mike Woodson learned mostly under Larry Brown. His thing was trying to run the whole show and allowing assistants very little imput.. If I recall, didnt Drew try to leave early on in Woodsons tenure, but was denied by BK? That could very well lead u to believe that their concepts clashed abit. Im very curious with the direction he decides to go with the team (Get a true C?,new pg?Josh or AL?,is unleashing marvins potential possible, draft/trades)
  25. Rumor has it David Geffin, arguably the biggest entertainment mogul in the World is in the process of buying majority of the Clippers and makes the clippers arena a gateway to all the stars. Just as much if not more than the lakers With the Clippers more than 24 mil under the cap Geffin makes a move for Lebron and Callipari (He guaranteed Sterling he would snag LBJ) Lets say JJ wants out of ATL to go to LAC and we try to broker a S&T: Trade Josh Smith to GS for #6 and Anthony Randolph JJ , the rights to Chillz ,Anthony Randolph and #24 to LAC for Chris Kaman and Eric Gordon and #9 LAC lineup : PG:B.Davis/Collins SG:LJ/#24 SF:JJ/Chillz PF:Griffin/Randolph C ;Jordan/MLE PG:Teague/Bibby SG:Gordon/Crawford SF:Williams/#9(George) PF:Horford/ #6(.Monroe) C :Kaman/Zaza
