  1. nobody is saying anything about the refs. their was a lot of calls we did not get when la increased their lead to 20 pts.
  2. this is what i have been mentioning about zaza all year a center that cant get off the ground and slam a ball in the hole under the basket is no good ( instead he has to use the stalled gears tactic to score). but at least he has decided to challange when he is one on one and drive to the basket.
  3. you can say it was just preseason, but what i saw out there truly disappointed me. i saw it in joes face, that he doesnt want to be here. i dont know what is going on with joe lately. but dont you guys realise joe went on a 2 month streak without hitting 20 pts. now it is digracefully ovious that we are going to be embarassed in the bigmen department, yes the magic have assembled a jugarnaut. but man nobody swated a pass going to the basket and nobody even got a dunk ( and this is suppose to be a highflying atheletic team). which make me ask what did we get jason collins for.b/c that rocky balboa lookalike is going to be a joke against elite team. this was my first time seeing teaugue 0-15 shooting are you kidding me and he is supposed to be better than acie law and the way that whole team just laid down like they didnt belong and you say we dont need flipp. i didnt like the look in josh smith face after the game when he went to shake hands with howard. it reminded me of when an alpha male establishes dominance in the pack and the submissive dog rolls on the ground in front of him with his tail between his legs.thats the look i saw in smiths eyes. he could barely look howard in the face after that performance. but aint it funny josh smith allways seems to be the high scorer in theese type of games but we want to get rid of him. i guess it just confirms that we need more players that the defense cant stay in front of that can get their on shots and for the life of me our we sure we cant find any 7 foot goons out thier instead of a guy that pump fakes like he has stalled gears (zaza)
  4. well our wanabe superstar jj did not hit any 4th qtr. shots to win the game, even on prime time TV.
  5. well i did see some spin moves from the right side of the basket and a jump hook on the leftside a few times. but he never made it a habbit of putting it in his game nightly.
  6. why dont we just get a seven foot goon, why not chris mihms?
  7. i declare i reckon the saying is always true that you are only as good as your last shot and i believe that most of this negativaty about marvin came as a result of him being injured the last month of the season. but one reason for our lackluster appearance in the playoffs was marvin not being healthy. and let me refresh you about last season do we seem to remember our wanabe superstar(joe johnson) went nearly 2 1/2 months without a 20 pt. outburst.. just who carried the team, it was flip, bibby and who else lets scratch our head ah marvin williams. josh smith went off with 33 one time.
  8. all we need offensively from our center is at least 10 pts. a night that takes pressure off our offense and gooden will at least get you that. otherwise if he can just deter some shots and grab 6 rbounds with 3 being offensive i am satisfied. why management did not pick him up for the last playoff run knowing we were deficient in the paint is beyound me.
  9. i dont think marvin is a bad player, man the way some of you all talk its as if he was a bottom of the barrell bench player, their were times last year when he pulled the hawks out of duldrums. i think giving him 7 million a yr. is about right. but i am curious to wonder why no other teams are beating his door down.
  10. well looking at the highlights it would have been a waist to pick up hansborugh or mullens when you got this guy under our nose. he could easily be another christian laitener.
  11. if i am not mistaken the clippers were trying to trade kaman while he was injured during the middle of the season. only problem was you would have to take byron davis off their hands. whatthey were looking for was a point guard, this is where we could have traded acie law. i know the thought of taking on byron was scary and risky but just think if he was healthy at least we have a player that shows some balls in the playoffs.
  12. i feel like LA would go for this b/c they are not that enamered with bynums play. a lot of their success really depends on what gasol and #7 does in the paint. i know they would love the yomen type work efforts that horford would give them and we need a 7 footer period. someone that can get up off the ground and dunk the ball when under the rim. not somebody that does a bunch of pump fakes like a car in a bad gear stall.
  13. this year he had some monstrious dunks against utah that made you afraid to trade him.
  14. the hell with zaza, go and get someone like gortat from orlando, some body thats going to catch the ball in the paint and put it in the rim when our new quick point guard penetrates. not try to pump fake like a car with bad gears the way pachulla does.
  15. i kind of felt like the hawks would end up with hansborough in the draft but what is the diffrence b/t hansborough and harangody from notre dame?
  16. their still is no excuse for woody, please tell me how do you develope any body playing them every 6th game and at garbage time. how come everyteam i have seen lately in the playoffs have reserves that come off the bench and contribute but when ours get in they look scared. like the other poster said you could find a limited role for acie without risk loosing the game. especially on nights when bibby is not hitting and point guards are blowing past him . i remember when we had to give anthony johnson playing time. he sucked for a while before he got better. the same thing happened with rondo, they suffered some games with that cat. but they did have superstars to carry him.NOW THE ONE BIG KNOCK ON ACIE IS STAYING HEALTHY. thats really the only reason i see giving up on him. even dominique gives us hints about players that can play but dont get any playing time on atlantas bench.
  17. first off it just irks the hell out of me to see rondo perform on stage ,when i know in my heart acie had the better upside. their is just no excuse why woody cant find any playing time for acie. woody could nock some minutes off our starters by sending in mario & acie to go uptempo at least 3 minutes out of the 43 to get us some quick buckets. maybe net us six points a game doing it. this is the same thing the pistons did with lindsey hunter, especially on nights when our offense was stagnent. it just borders on sooryness not to find any roles for our players.on nights we need an atheletic center theier is no excuse not to play solomon. why do we not have any set plays for the big men horford & solomon or zaza i have seen them stroke 10 ft. jumpers. but their is no play for them to consitantly shoot them. if our bigs could just put the ball in the basket 5 times a night horford & zaza i could live with that. please tell me how did big baby develope a better shot than horford.
