1 Hawk hit a jumper the whole 1st quarter. Jamal had 2. Can someone explain to me how you assemble an entire NBA basketball team and have 1 player on that team that consistently make a jump shot?

What is that, 0-6 or 0-7 shooting the J so far? This is not abnormal. We just haven't shot it enough to hit one yet. We will though.

and no one other than Crawford can shoot it consistently. This goes on every game. The Hawks are best when they are using their athleticism and taking the ball to the basket. I honestly believe we are the worst jump shooting team in the NBA. Oh well, I'm ready to give up griping. If the Hawks coaches do not see what I see then there is no hope of this team going deep into the playoffs. Rant over.

We need at least 1 perimeter shooter other than Crawford. How many times will I say this? This team cannot shoot the basketball, not with any consistency of course. IMO shooting a jumper is a large part of the game of basketball. For some reason we have chosen to build a team of athletes that will win games but will never be a serious threat. Opening up the inside with the threat of a jump shot would make this team very dangerous. We have to be the only team in the NBA that doesn't have a decent jump shooter on the starting roster. We need to move the ball around better. IMO this is another fundamental part of the game of basketball. 1 pass and shoot is not even a good game plan in high school. We need to learn how to box out. Another fundamental part of the game. This is how you keep bigger guys from dominating the boards. Basically, now that I'm thinking about it, we are a poor fundamental team. This goes to coaching. Maybe we just need a new coaching staff. We win games strictly with athleticism. That will never get us to the next level.

Only if Crawford gets to 39 first.

I was going to post the same thing. Although Joe usually gets lost in the 4th and Crawford is pretty consistent throughout.

Rebound and run. The Celtics played a tough emotional game last night and they're old. Oh, and start Crawford instead of Bibby.

I read the headline and thought "OH NO!!". I was scared it would be Josh whining about not making it. Then I read the blog and it was just the opposite. "Get in the gym, work harder, and hopefully make it next year". That's the attitude Josh! IMO he certainly deserves to be there but his teammates know his importance and it shows in the win column as well. He may be our team MVP so far IMO (Crawford is the only reason I said MAY) and his time will come. We appreciate you Josh. Keep doing what you do and everything will fall in place.

Joe Johnson at a reasonable price would be fine. Joe Johnson at the price he is going to want would be idiotic for any team. I don't consider JJ one of the "elites". That of course is my opinion.

I think one of our biggest problems is that we don't have anyone, other than Crawford, can can consistently shoot from the perimeter. Horford is deadly from 15 but that's it. Joe Johnson can get hot and be awesome one minute and cold and greedy the next. Bibby, what can I say? Not starting material and Teague hasn't shown anything. I may be in the minority here but I like Marvin. What I don't like is either his upper body strength or his dislike of contact when under the basket. Many times Marvin will drive and can't or will not get his arms up. Is he just not as strong as the defenders or does he avoid being physical? Josh Smith, IMO, is our best starter. Sometimes he tries to be too cute and screws up though. Horford is solid in all areas and is a close #2 behind Josh if I had to rank them among starters. It irks me to watch other teams that have 2 or 3 guys that are deadly when shooting the open jumper and we only have Crawford that can shoot it and he doesn't start. This team wins games through good defense (sometimes) and athleticism. Unfortunately this team has a few glaring problems that I don't believe the athleticism can overcome in the playoffs. We're not there yet. I think we are close, but not yet. Players we need next year: Crawford Horford Smith Williams (with better upper body strength or a sports psychologist) Teague (an improved version) We need to acquire a couple of players that can shoot and improve the bench.

You're right, I don't know what was going on. I do know that I saw the entire bench exploding with excitement, except JJ. But I don't know what was going on in his mind. Maybe he was thinking about his next shot?

I think he has become all about "me". Something big happened a few games ago and the cameras showed the Hawks bench. Horford was jumping up and down waving a towel and the rest of the team was very excited as well, except JJ. He was just sitting there, no emotion, not even a grin. Yeah it's a great time to be a Hawks fan despite the "star" player being on an island by himself.

What this team lacks is a starter than consistently hit a jump shot. It's sad to say but Horford has the best 15' shot of any player in the starting lineup. Joe can't shoot, Bibby can't shoot, Marvin can't shoot and Josh can't shoot. I don't like seeing anyone on this team shooting except Crawford and Horford from 15. Outside of Crawford we don't have a 3 pt shooter. Thankfully this team has some very good athletes or we'd be in trouble. I get tired of watching teams with 3 players starting that can hit a jumper and we don't have 1, unless you wanna count Horford.

Most over rated IMO. The most over rated Hawk for sure.

His disappearing act ranks right up there with the world's best. Too bad he missed his calling and became a basketball player.

Thanks North. But when looking for tickets I see AA on some of the listings. I like the very front row of a section. To sit on the very front row of any section I should be looking for row A right? What is row AA?

I'm going, mind is made up. I've been a Hawk fan forever but just never made the time to go to a game. I have a couple of questions. Which is the front row, A or AA? Or something else? Better view of the game? Lower level, up top, or in the middle? Any and all advice you wanna give me is appreciated. Thanks!
