  1. I was thinking that Johnson still holds that title.
  2. Joe and I have a lot in common.
  3. Joe Johnson was rarely game MVP the entire season. Think about it.
  4. Joe Johnson was rarely the MVP of any single game this whole season. The entire NBA world is right. Joe Johnson is not important because he's not.
  5. Leave to the highest bidder. I've never seen him in a players face either.
  6. 7-23 for 17 points. I'm pretty good huh? Or is it too easy to predict Joe's stats?
  7. 4 of 10 40% at the half with 10 points. That's right on pace. We need a star fellas.
  8. He's the best player on the court and to get out there and show it.
  9. Our will he get his 20 while shooting 35%? Or worse?
  10. We just need to give JJ the max and he will become the player we need him to be. It's always a good rule of thumb to sign someone to the max FIRST and then expect changes. Signed, Typical Hawks Fan
  11. Two bad's do not make a good.
  12. You really can't get in your teammates face when you are 9-22.
  13. I think this is a very good team, but to get to the next level we need a player on that next level. Josh, Joe, Al, and Crawford are all very good but not able to be depended on at critical times day in and day out. We see it every postseason. This team, as much as I love it, will not get any better without a leader with star quality. Now, I want to think Josh Smith can eventually be that player. He has shown improvement every year with this being his best. He has the desire and I believe next year will be a breakthrough season for him as one of the league's best all-around players. If we don't get Joe signed, Crawford will likely be inserted into the starting lineup. And this could happen even if Joe is a Hawk next year. Could Crawford be the guy? I don't know. I see the leadership from him. The other players tend to follow his momentum when he's hot. But he's streaky. Of course this doesn't matter if Josh becomes the star I believe he will next season. Al is great at what he does but he's a role player, although a very good one. He's one of my favorites on the team and I'm glad he's a Hawk and hope he finishes his career here. We just need to find exactly what that role is and let him continue to improve. With or without Joe next year this team will be just like we are now unless someone steps up and becomes that force that we need. Just for the record, before someone says it, we need better than 9-22 shooting. It's easy for me to be unimpressed with 22 shots and 25 points. Joe has been here long enough for me to know that he is not the type of player I am talking about. Joe is also a role player and will probably be a very good #2 on a team. Whether it's here with Josh being the #1 or somewhere else, Joe simply isn't a player that can put a team on his back.
  14. Wow. The Hawks were ignorant by offering him that much. Thankfully they were bailed out by Joe's ignorance. 2 Ignorance's do not make a right.
  15. No doubt. Horford is all into the game whether on the court or on the bench. I sense a lot of emotion from Josh and Crawford as well. What this teams really needs, and I've said it 100 times, is a true superstar. We need a guy that can pick us up when the others are struggling. I've seen Crawford do it but inconsistently. It really frustrates me that our "star" player acts like he doesn't have a care in the world. Maybe it's because he doesn't?
  16. Teague proved that he would be a star in the D League. He has the speed and quickness to play against 3rd and 4th stringers and would absolutely dominate D League guys. We saw it in college and we saw it again last night. D-League Teague would be D-League MVP.
  17. Or is he at home playing ping pong? Anyone know?
