Do you blame Joe Johnson for being dumb enough to voice his displeasure with the fans to the media? Or do you blame the fans for Joe Johnson being that dumb?

You lost me at the re-sign Joe part.

When a team is up by 30 and 40 points they hold the ball longer before shooting it. This in turn runs a lot of time off the clock. Therefore the team that is up by 30 and 40 points will not attempt to score as many points as they normally would. Therefore it may look like our defense was better because of our poor offense. Look at it.

I really believe he had about the same FG% as Joe Johnson did this year. Which leads me to believe that if he had shot the ball the same number of times he would have averaged about the same # of points as JJ. Which in turn leads me to believe that some would believe that Marvin is a max player kinda guy. Marvin says the right things while Joe tells the fans to get licked. Marvin > Joe when given the opportunity.

Oh, well cool. Everything is just fine and dandy now that his agent straightened that out. Sign him to a max contract NOW!! The dude apologized! It's all good.

Marvin is underutilized and will shine with a new coach and no JJ.

I agree. I don't want Woody here either but increasing your team's win total every year may mean something to someone that matters. I'm not taking up for him in any way but not many coaches get fired in that way. If it were up to me he would have been gone in the middle of the year.

He said we "could care less". He did not say we "couldn't care less".

I hope he is gone too but he again improved the team's record and that may mean something.

Johnson said he "could care less" so that could mean that the fans showing up mean a lot to him. Now if he had said "couldn't care less", screw him. Let's just get on with signing him to a max contract then everything would be OK. I blame the Hawks organization. If we had signed him to a max deal in the beginning he would have smiled once or twice and carried us to 7 or 8 NBA titles by now. If Johnson must leave us maybe we could do a 3 team sign and trade and we get LeBron, Wade, Cleveland's 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks as well as Miami's 1st and 2nd for Joe and let him play half a year for each team. It would be a win-win situation for everyone involved. We could end up in the finals next year and Cleveland and Miami would both with Championships. He could end up signing with the Bucks too. Green is his color.

He is easily the best all-around player we have on the team.

I think what he means is that he is going to try and compete to the best of his ability if they happen to call a play or 2 for him. Our play calling sucks and does not allow Marvin to be as involved as I believe he should be.

Exactly. If he knows what to do now, what took him so long to figure it out? I hope he plays well tonight but if he doesn't what will he say tomorrow? "Oh, this time I really think I got it!".
