Outside of Murray, JJ and perhaps Bogi, all I see is sheer incompetence. Mathews hits his shots, not his fault anyway. Forrest is not NBA material. CC is washed up. OO can't stop fouling. Hawks are an utter mess.

I just finished watching the game and hereby I declare I'm 100% in opposition to a Murray trade. In spite of the bone headed hero ball play that almost cost us the game, the guy just balled out there. It's very good to see a team with no BS in them for a change. Also kudos to Patty, Garrison and Onyeka, bench crew did their job last night. Can't wait to see the idiots at the helm trade his very friendly contract in exchange for a bag of rotten peanuts.

Official Game Thread: Spurs "at" Hawks -- The MLK Day Game!
BrazilianHawk replied to lethalweapon3's topic in Homecourt
A win for a change, so that's good. They should've won against a full tank squad and they did as expected, but I still haven't got used to those second half stinkers. I'll still take it, Trae was phenomenal in the first half and that helped a lot, otherwise that could be another terrible defeat at home.- 125 replies

Man... you might be right, but they just got blown out by the Washington Generals. At home. They're apathetic. There's no effort. I don't see them winning more than 30. IMHO it's time to let go. Edit: spelling- 195 replies

It's a good thing we don't need to tank to give the Spurs a super high pick. Just keep the route are we're eventually at that point. I don't really believe the Hawks will be any better the next few years, Trae or not Trae. So if we're going to give the Spurs our picks anyway, at least let's try to amass some draft assets from other teams. Hawks aren't going anywhere but down right now.- 195 replies

Well... I for one always wanted that white guy that was #1 in all draft mockups but suddenly fell to #3 a week prior to the draft. I never wanted #7 Trae with the 3rd pick.- 195 replies

Murray should be given an opportunity to play at his natural position. Just saying.- 195 replies

I can't say I'll be as happy as when we got rid of Midrange Shawty, but I'm positive this would be a HUGE step in the right direction. For as long as he's in the ATL, he will always be the guy the FO took instead of you-know-who.- 195 replies

76 points in the paint. Superstar (4-17) had 6 assists and 5 turnovers. This team is hilariously bad on both ends. Get some picks, start over and build around JJ. This season is over.

Danny Ferry was absolutely NOT a flop. Ownership, OTOH, was.

It would suck for the Hawks to lose any leverage on a Trae deal when he asks for a trade or becomes noncommittal about a new contract with the Hawks. Perhaps now would be the time to listen for offers?

Another boring game. Get 20 down and struggle to lose by single digits. Props to Trae and Bruno, though. Bruno needs more minutes. And I hope this ends the 'OO over CC' movement. He's not a center. Allen just schooled O whenever they both were on the court.- 225 replies

Official Game Thread: Hawks at Raptors (2 of 2)
BrazilianHawk replied to lethalweapon3's topic in Homecourt
I waited until the morning to see this one. Other than his 8 turnovers, Trae had a pristine line, and his effort in D was really showing. I liked a lot what I saw from him this game, he was phenomenal. Of course he wasn't alone, the big lineup worked very well and the OOCC tandem looked great.- 169 replies

Warranted, sure, but he's hurting the team by not being able to control himself. It won't get any better going forward if he doesn't change his ways.

It's impressive they got like 5 consecutive stops and couldn't score a single point off those. Really impressive. These guys must be in need of some psychological help. This isn't normal.
