  1. Look guys, we all know Marvin's a bust and will forever go down in Hawks Worst Draft pick. The guy has been given too many passes by our dumb coaches throughout the years. How do you expect a player to be a star if he was the 'Six Man' on his college team? Thats enough information on his up-side just in its own. He fails to work on any aspect of his game during the off-season. He dribbles like a high school center, and he's not even aggressive going to the rim anymore. He definitely lacks passion and motivation, which were big signs in his scouting report before he was drafted. Billy Knight dropped the ball, and Rick Sund dropped the ball when he signed him to the big contract. The sad part about it is that Marvin has no trade-value at all. There's no team between here and Beijing thats willing to accept his mediocre talent and monsterous contract. Lets stop pretending guys, we all know basketball. We fans see things coaches don't see until they review tape the next morning. Marvins drop in production has hurt this franchises ability to move on by moving him. Lets stop making Teague the scapegoat for losses. I mean the kid can't get an assist unless someone finishes by making the shot. Now tell me, who's been converting those passes recently? The difference in Lin and Teague comes down to personel. Zaza has bobbled and lost a ton of passes from Teague down low. Marvin airballs his passes. Radmonavich didn't get back on the court until a couple games ago, but he's starting to slump. Joe allows the defense to catch up to him instead of taking the open shot. And Tmac looks like Scalabrine on the wing. Are you understanding what I'm referencing now? For a point guard to be effective he must be surrounded by players that finish. We don't have 'many' players that finish. This contributes to Drews terrible execution of the motion offense scheme. During motion offense players pass to one side of the court and seek to screen for players on the opposite side of the court. The hope is to create spacing and driving lanes to basket. Drew didn't design this team with slashers. He has designed a team with the shoot first mentality. Vlad is a three point specialist. Pargo's a shooter. Kirk Hinrich's a shooter. Joe Johnson's a shooter. Tracy McGrady's also a shooter that rarely slashes. Marvin can't finish in the paint to save his life. Josh is a slasher but gets caught up in shooting when open. TEAGUE AND WILLIE ARE THE ONLY NATURAL SLASHERS ON THIS TEAM! Am I keeping real with guys on this assessment? Totally hope so! Drews running the wrong scheme with the wrong players. You guys should take a look at this because its definitely telling of our horrible coaching. Must I quote Lester Conners from last night?? lol
  2. Lol. But he doesn't get enough plays Diesel... Lmao he sucks
  3. Umm yeah its been reported Diesel.. http://blogs.ajc.com/jeff-schultz-blog/2012/02/22/joe-johnson-out-of-all-stars-its-time-to-put-josh-smith-in/
  4. DAVID STERN !!!!!!! Once again Stern pulls the shaft on a small market team. This guy completely goes against his words and practices all the time. Rondo chucks a Peter Moylan at a refs stomach and he still gets the nod?!!! GTFOH!! Its such a double-standard in the NBA. I now give Ivan permission to go Latrell Sprewell on LD and any ref with a wrinkled undershirt.
  5. Trust me, Stern will not reward Rondo after suspending him for two games. Sounds like a rumor to me guys.
  6. Here are your Prius' right here: 1. Dan Majerle 2. Jeff Van Gundy 3. Brian Shaw 4. Mario Elie 5. Hubie Brown 6. Bob Huggins 7. Rick "The God Father" Pitino I wish he could repeat his famous speech to Boston fans to Atlanta Hawks fans... "Lebron James is not walking through that door, fans. Dwayne Wade is not walking through that door, and Kobe Bryant is not walking through that door. And if you expect them to walk through that door, they're going to be gray and old. What we are is young, exciting, hard-working, and we're going to improve. People don't realize that, and as soon as they realize those three guys are not coming through that door, the better this town will be for all of us because there are young guys in that (locker) room playing their asses off. I wish we had $90 million under the salary cap. I wish we could buy the world. We can't; the only thing we can do is work hard, and all the negativity that's in this town sucks. I've been around when Jason Terry was booed. I've been around when Josh Smith was booed. And it stinks. It makes the greatest town, greatest city in the world, lousy. The only thing that will turn this around is being upbeat and positive like we are in that locker room... and if you think I'm going to succumb to negativity, you're wrong. You've got the wrong guy leading this team." Now thats a good speech!!
  7. I think Joe is hinting to Teague. I'm sure he's figured out that when Teague gets going, the team gets going. All he's protesting now is for guys to trust Teague and allow him to get his shots at the basket and become more aggressive without them complaining.
  8. In the words of the famous Four Tops song, "It's the same old song, but with a different meaning since you been gone." Yes! These words speak the truth of our Hawks after leaving the guidance of Mike Woodson. We all wanted a new general at the head of our regime but, ASG decided to purchase an 1985 Cutlass on 36" rims instead of a Honda Prius. Now we're left with the same mime like sideline gestures and post game interviews as Woodson. Is it hard for management to see how we've suddenly dropped off the edge of the Earth (ala Christopher Columbus)..? I mean, does a 6-8 record after Hinrichs forceful entry into the lineup say enough???? Nope! Its in turn contributed to a lack of 'energy' and 'toughness'.. Well Drew, the energy and toughness starts with the leader of the team and thats you my friend. Stop crying and grab hold of your troops. I've never watched such a lifeless coach in my life. Looking at Thibodeu on the other side of the court I see why his team plays hard. Its simple, his passion and energy feeds his team. Lets face it guys, Drews not a leader and will never be one. He doesn't take ownership for loses and mistakes. This was a quote from Hoopinion: " With Pargo as the evening’s designated streak shooter, Radmanovic took the night off, shooting 0-for-5 and going scoreless in 12 minutes, although he did collect 5 rebounds. The Hawks are 1-7 in the month of February in games in which Radmanovic plays at least 10 minutes. Two of the Hawks three wins this month came as Vlad averaged 3 minutes against Orlando and Indiana. During a stretch of 4 games from Jan. 29th through Feb. 4th, Ivan averaged 23.5 minutes, 9.5 points and almost 8 rebounds per game playing primarily as backup center. During that stretch, the Hawks out-rebounded 3 of 4 opponents. In the 7 games that followed, Ivan averaged 8 minutes, 3 points and 2 rebounds. In those 7 games, the Hawks were out-rebounded by 6 opponents. Against Chicago, Ivan played 2 minutes and the Hawks were out-rebounded 51-41. Grade: Incomplete." Doesn't these losses sound more and more like problems derived from Drews horrible coaching and substitution schemes?? Mark my words, Larry Drew's an exact clone of Mike Woodson and he will continue to run this team into the ground. You can't be a head coach in the NBA and hold grudges with your players. I know Stackhouse is old but why not put him in the lineups when players aren't hitting shots. Last time I checked, they have wheel chair basketball leagues so there's no excuse to bench a veteran shooter. He's 6'6 with smarts and a shot Drew!
  9. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@!!!
  10. The most underrated flavor in Caprisun history!
  11. LOL. This demand is just hilarious.
  12. How can the Joseph Forte of the Atlanta Hawks demand a trade? LOL did I miss something here?? Let's trade him right now for two cases of cold Caprisuns and twelve boxes of chocolate mint Girl Scout cookies. Freakin bum!! Couldn't even start in college with those six man nimbers.
  13. LOL. It's definitely hard to watch these guys play.
  14. Man I wish i could buy you a drink right now! I totally agree! Drew brought this on himself.
  15. Man you act like tendinitis is some type of weak injury. That's one of the most irritating and painful injuries a basketball player can have. Hell, I use to have it a lot when I played basketball. If he continues to play on it, he could face irritating it even more. That could lead to fluid buildup in the knee and even structural damage. Stop listening to those old idiots. Have you noticed how bad they walk nowadays and the constant crying about how bad there bodies hurt..? I applaud Joe for playing through injuries but if those knees go, his careers done. Kenny Smith and Steve Smith pretty much made wearing knee braces fashionable in the NBA. I'm done :)
  16. I've been saying this for months..
  17. No.. no.. no.. I think we will win this one today. Marvin being out will work into the favor of us frustrated fans.
  18. JUST A REMINDER THAT WE PLAY CHICAGO @4PM TODAY!
  19. Lol! It was Watchman that I owe the apology too. Sorry Wretch! Big brother isn't watching you today! lol
  20. Yeah it wasn't the heat of the moment. Just a bad metaphor that was used at the wrong time. I wrote that comment while on the meditation stump (toilet) so my mind was else where I guess. lol
  21. The lack of hustle and preparation solely falls upon Drews shoulders. He looks more and more like an assistant everyday.
  22. I would to apologize again to Wretch for my comment that was taken out of context. I'm not a "bigot" and if you knew me you wouldn't come to that assumption. I felt that I explained myself to Wretch and also offered an apology. I'm black yes... My girlfriend of 8 years is white so there's no way i can be racist. Though I'm disappointed that a person would think that of me, I must still take ownership of my post. Again, I apologize for the way my comment came across.
  23. Yea Jamal was a revitalized player in a Hawks jersey. He was finally appreciated by fans and teammates.
