  1. Until someone tells me why the "Highlight Factory" was given that name everyone's responses are based off ignorance to the truth. I've never seen a steady running Joe johnson commercial or even an Al Horford commercial. All I'm saying is when those "Highlight Factory" commercials come on, I see a lot of Josh Smith.
  2. Why is Phillips Arena called the "Highlight Factory," and when did they start calling it the "Highlight Factory"??? Ding!!!! The answer is when Josh Smith arrived!!! You can't dodge the truth Dolfan.. I've noticed how you seem to do that often. You're arguing about marketing driven business with an marketer my friend. Please give me answers with validity instead of going on your google search and coming back with foolish rebuttals.
  3. Lol! Call me when these rumors have some sort of foundation to them. Cunningham and Schultz have always come out with bogus Josh trade rumors before the deadline. Do you guys actually think ASG would allow Josh to leave before getting rid of Marvin, Kirk, or even JJ?? Josh single handily brought people into Phillips Arena and dubbed it the "Highlight Factory" with his explosive play. You know what kind of marketing the ASG would lose if Josh walked through the door?? Put it like this, "The Al Amigo Factory" or the "Average Joe Factory" won't get people in the seats. And further more, who would be left to actually block shots and dunk the ball -- Jeff Teague??? Maybe.. Trust me people, somebody will be traded and it will not be Josh I tell you that. These games are his message to ASG. He wants them to see how valuable he is and how much he brings to this team on nightly basis. Scary part about it is that he's playing too consistent without our supposedly top players. Its about time he's had the opportunity to show ASG that he's the true franchise player of this team. And I bet ASG and Sund are looking at the games with a smile. This team feeds from his high energy and it looks amazing how they're playing with more passion and testicular fortitude. What surprised me last night, was how everyone's attitude reminded me of the infamous Celtic playoff series. It was tough gritty and nasty basketball being played. Hell!! Even Joe fed from Josh's energy that series and went off for that amazing 4th quarter in game 6!!!! Seems like the dark shield is coming off this core and we're finally noticing the weak links. You can't beat the fact that all of our guys are actually rallying around Josh during the game. And you know what, it speaks a lot when it comes to older NBA veterans banding around the younger leader of the team. The pressure now is on Joe Johnson and Al Horford guys. Wonder why he's playing it safe with that knee of his..??? lol AND YOU GUYS WANT TO TRADE HIM FOR THIS GUY???!! CHILD PLEASE...... LOL!
  4. It's because they never actually earn a trip to the foul line. Refs make it hard to defend superstars and it sucks because they get bailed out 56% of the time.
  5. Smh.. we will still win! Josh goes for 37pts 14rebs 5asts 2blks!!!
  6. That's a good question Benhillboy, let me see if I can find out.
  7. Took the words right out of my mouth. Here's an ESPN article put out last April about the steady decline of African-Americans in MLB. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=6401971 Now, if that's not enough evidence for you I really don't know. As of 2011, African-Americans made up only 8.5% of players in the MLB. That's interesting...
  8. I refuse to agree that African-Americans have abandoned baseball. As a guy whom fell in love with the game at an early and played a ton of little league ball, I've seen the racial bias. For example, the majority of black teams in the Dekalb County area get less publicity and financial backing from area business than majority white teams. To be fair, a lot of the financial contributions from majority white teams come from professionally successful parents. But when it comes to county funding there's a severe lack in support. Predominantly black high school teams suffer due to the lack of funding from the state. Therefore they continue to suffer without proper training resources. And like always, they fail to compete against highly funded and predominantly white schools. I was considered to be a very talented baseball player coming up as a child. I had an high IQ, exceptional range in the out-field, a stellar arm, and a very strong command of the plate on the pitchers mound. But, once I enrolled into the predominantly white schools like Henderson Middle and Tucker High School, I was repeatedly looked over and cut. One of the worst times I was cut happened to be my junior year of high school. The coached picked a kid that was 5'2 and had the worst fielding skills I've ever seen. The Year before I didn't make the cut for JV even when the varsity coach was telling his players how good I was during catch and relay drills. I blame the system that allows money and prejudice to be a reason why good minority talents are overlooked.
  9. I think we need to set the tone early. Let's make the Pacers run, and force them to guard us in transition. I look for Teague, Zaza, and Josh to have a good night. Let's show the media why Hibbert should've watched the Allstar game as a spectator. We win 92-85! Go Hawks!
  10. Nothing at all.. Sund won't move Marvin or Kirk before the deadline.
  11. Hope not.. I'm not a fan of a guy that doesn't want to come back to his hometown to play. Seems like he's looking to strengthen his brand in a big market. Hollywood Dwight Howard's his new name. Stay away from Atlanta please!!!!
  12. Dolfan what are you talking about? I don't hold faith in any posters knowledge over Drews knowledge. I would be an idiot if i did that. I've always believed Josh to be a smart player that hurts himself trying to do it all. Obviously, you're putting words in my mouth so you should put down the bottle. Accept the fact that Josh is the life-blood of our team. He goes as we go.
  13. Wtf? So every post I've read about Josh having a low BBIQ hasn't come from posters on this site?! Man Gtfoh!! At least have the balls to admit the truth. All i read on this board is post of how stupid he is, and his low BBIQ. Now you want me to think I'm just seeing things? Okay!!! LOL! Whatever Dolfan. And from a basketball standpoint, that's the reason why he's never developed a good BBIQ. What coach has literally taught him anything? Hell, look at the low historical development of players. I'm not sitting here blurting dumb logic, this is from a person that has played and understands the game. Funny how Drew comes out and defends Joshs high BBIQ and everyone starts retracting their statements. LOL
  14. First, I spoke in general. Secondly, I do agree that he should give the ball up to the guards. But, where are the guards when he's bring up the ball? Oh yeah, down the court running the lanes. Until they do what Bibby did and jump into Joshs face, he will continue to do it. Thirdly, Josh shoots long shots because of Drews terrible motion dominated scheme. Did you notice the difference when Drew ran set plays through Josh on the block? He dominated and worked inside-out against Serge and Durant. The coach has to define a players role from the start of the game. When Josh makes a couple easy shots in the post he begins to trust it and attack. When he attacks, its beautiful basketball for everyone. Now I hope Drew realizes it and further runs more post plays for him. The kid can be a nightmare when he has a role established for him during the game. Poor BBIQ comes from a player not having a defined role in a system. That's why Josh tries to do it all because his role and purpose isn't clear in this system.
  15. LOL! It's crazy how much Josh gets destroyed on this board. One of the hardest playing players on the team. Whom just LED us to a win against a high powered OKC offense with a depleted bench. It's downright sad but hilarious at the same time. And the excuses, oh the excuses!! Majority of them make no sense and the others are from pure hatred. I understand he makes stupid mistakes, but damn he hasn't had a long list of good coaches. We all know basketball, well at least I hope we all do.. Let's start putting intelligence basketball arguments with facts and solutions.
  16. Numbers and athleticism wins games Dolfan! I haven't seen a team full of Brian Scalabrines win championships, have you? Nique and Shareef didn't have a strong supporting cast to win a championship. And who said Shareef was athletic? Obviously you don't know his game because he was known for his high basketball IQ and highly fundamental game. Now my question do you is this.. Suppose we move Josh for cap relief and picks, what players in college are worth us taking that move?
  17. Who's the consistent player that we could use instead of Josh at the forward? Replace his numbers and his athleticism...? Who?
  18. That's what we needed to do to win the game. We needed a lot of energy and hard work. Nothing with simple answer to questions. What else was he suppose to say? He's not a coach on our bench that give x's and o's during the interview. I loved the interview if you ask me. It tells of how we actually won the game.
  19. This crap is dumb! Why would anyone want to trade Josh Smith for two old has-beens is beyond me?! It's not logical, and its certainly backwards thinking. What college player do you see can replace Joshs offense and defense? Better yet, is there a 1st round talent that's actually good at the forward spot coming out this year? No! You guys have to be the most under appreciative bunch of fans I've ever seen in my life.
  20. Thanks lethal, as always you tell the truth because you understand the game! You can't miss 10 free throws and win a game. It's logic. Drew has to figure out the rotations ASAP. He's had 35 games to figure it out.
  21. The motion offense is not a PG dominated offense. It's an offense meant to promote lane opening for slashers. It's a pass and screen the opposite side of the floor offense. Pick and roll is what you would call a PG dominant offense. In motion, the PG isn't stressed to initiate the offense by design.
  22. So do we chose to ignore the 3 dumb@ss turnovers Kirk did with 2 minutes left in the quarter??? He single-handedly gave them a 13 point swing. He couldn't get players into their sets, and it forced Josh to take last second heeves... And why didn't Drew take a timeout during that run?? Its not Josh's fault everytime we lose. The last 10 games he's averaging 17.5pts 10.8rpg 5.0apg 2.6bpg 2.2spg on 43% shooting!!!! So how in the hell is it his fault for the losses!!!!!!!! Yes he makes bone-headed plays from time to time but this is getting pathetic and annoying. It looks like he's playing hard to me!!
