  1. - I didn't say it guarantees Howard, obviously there are no guarantees especially with Howard. - Of course Boston may reject it. If they like, Scroeder or Bebe or a future 1st may be added or even Teague. - Howard+Smoove (starting from ~ 12 mil 1st year)+Rondo+Lou+Jenkins+Teague+Roster holds equals approximately the salary cap. Then Teague could be S&T for Ellis (or not I don't like Ellis anyway). Give Korver MLE and the rest vet min (Morrow). I did not say I favor this scenario. I do not even like Howard. What I am saying is we were not aggresive for Howard, just hopeful. Houston wanted Howard more than us. They even gave away T-rob, Brooks and Delfino even though it wasn't sure whether Howard was signing there.
  2. I honestly prefer him over those Bucks. Sign Billups and give significant playing time to Dennis. Let's see what we have in him. It is never too early and we are not contending anytime soon.
  3. If getting Howard was the definite goal, we should have traded Horford for Rondo, commit to Smoove and sign guys like Morrow and even Ellis . I am not saying I favor this but this was the way. We simply were not aggressive enough for Howard. We just hoped he would come to here even though he gave no indication.
  4. It depends on what they see in Schröder. Why not sign a veteran like Billups and let Dennis learn from him. The idea of developing the young talent we drafted is much more intriguing than watching chuckers Ellis or Jennings. That's what Spurs did with Parker, they let him play very early.
  5. I bet OKC would not do that trade today. Apparently neither OKC nor Washington believed Harden would flourish this much as the main man.
  6. You gotta be lucky also. If OKC did not have that Harden brain fart and Wizards did not join them by rejecting the Harden trade, everything would be different now. No Harden=No Howard. They would probably have the lottery pick this year and next year. Who knows may be we would discuss how successful Morey tanked :-)
  7. Wow Josh has a bad play and Jennings has a good one.
  8. Seriously. I don't understand the fan base bashing. What are we supposed to do, throw a parade for signing Brandon Jennings?
  9. By heart do you guys mean irrational confidence?
  10. Lakers will get Kaman it seems. By the way even after Howard's departure, Lakers have no interest in Bynum which says a lot about him. That dude is going to kill the salary cap of one team next year.
  11. Honestly I don't want either Ellis or Jennings. I prefer Teague at a modest salary any day over those two.
  12. Jennings has shot better than 40% (41.8) only once in his career. 29.8% against Heat in the playoffs. Just keep Teague at this point.
  13. I have a feeling that we will tank next year. But it won't be intentional.
  14. Millsap hits 0.2 3pt shots per game :-) Plus he is not quick enough for defense at SF position. He is at best a stretch PF not a SF.
  15. Yeah such a spoiled fan base we are. I guess it is because of all those championships and superstars...
  16. An expiring contract is an asset, a young player in his rookie deal is an asset. Monta Ellis resigned for 4 year 44 mil is not an asset.
  17. I loved Crawford too but he was overpaid; his current salary is just about right. Jr Smith is young and he got 6 mil per year. Lou earns similar to that. Nick Young doesn't even have a team yet. I can't justify paying a chucker that much money even if he have it all.
  18. Back to the nice things: signing him will eliminate our chances of signing Bynum.
  19. He is the best tunnel shooter in the NBA.
