  1. Bogut-Barnes-Jefferson-2014 1st for cap relief. Bring'em home Ferry!
  2. Signing Korver to a 4 year deal doesn't necessarily mean he will be here for the duration of the contract. You need assets for future trades. I think if we cannot form a team to contend next year, he may be traded to a contender.
  3. And Richard Jefferson-Stephen Jackson trade.
  4. If Howard is not coming to here, I would like to have Bogut and Barnes. Bogut has shown in the playoffs that he can still be an inside presence. I prefer him over Bynum any day. Barnes is very good also. It is not happening though.
  5. My thoughts exactly. In fact seeing Evans as a player to get up and celebrate summarizes the state of the franchise right now. We are talking about Tyreke Evans, the guy that freaking Kings are not trying to keep.
  6. I don't see him rejecting this unless he wants to be in a contender for less (Nets?).
  7. I hate to say this but if we are going to tank, Horford will hurt our chances. On the other hand if we could get a top-5 pick next year for him (Bobcats?) combined with our lottery pick and some luck in the draft, rebuilding can be quicker than expected.
  8. There is nothing wrong with Atlanta. Such a ...
  9. Well, we were 26th in attendance last year. It is not like they will lose a ton of support...
  10. Don't get me wrong, I also prefer tanking but I am not sure our FO can risk that.
  11. I like the idea of getting Asik unless we are in full tanking mode. Asik-Horf-Iggy-Lou-Teague can do damage in East.
  12. Smoove coming of the bench :-) Well, that is something that would never happen.
  13. I don't understand why they want Smoove when they already have Monroe and Drummond unless they plan to use Smoove at SF. Iggy would be a better fit for them.
  14. I don't expect us to keep Zaza considering that we drafted two centers.
  15. Quick reaction by Hawksquawk to remove the CP3 wallpaper :-)
  16. I believe Bogut is another expiring with 14 M per year. I really would like to have him in our team assuming that he will eventually get into shape :-).
  17. Bynum is chronically injured, lazy, immature, slightly overrated and doesn't like basketball. What's not to like :-)
  18. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/228142/Celtics-Denied-Clippers-Request-To-Speak-To-Doc-Rivers They rejected Clippers' request to meet River. It can still happen though.
  19. That is not surprising; I never understood the belief in here that salary cap would jump this year. We had a lock-out last year for a reason...
  20. I don't watch the Wolves a lot but Pekovic is not a traditional center that can help you play Horford at PF. He is undersized, averages 0.5-0.8 blocks per game and 5.1 rebounds per game. Don't expect him to bring the inside presence of Hibbert, Marc Gasol or even Omer Asik. On the other hand he is a good inside player. He is skillful, plays hard. I would love him on our team but not for maximum contract or anything close to that.
  21. Non guaranteed contracts are obviously preferable but it is not realistic for NBA. Compared to NFL the talent pool in NBA is much smaller. You can't convince players to sign non guaranteed contracts, the market would not allow it.
  22. Poor Warriors. They are going to pay Biedrins&Jefferson 20 million next year. Add 13 million for Lee and 14 for Bogut. They could have been a big actor this summer if they were a little smarter.
  23. I like to keep Korver but in the East we are going to face Indiana (Paul George), New York (Melo) and Miami (Lebron). We need a physical, defensive minded SF to share minutes with Korver. A guy like Shane Battier. Maybe we can address this in the draft.
  24. The CSKA team of 2012 was one of the most loaded Euroleague teams ever and he failed to win the championship that year. He lost in Final Four again this year. That seems like big time underachievement to me.
