    Wasn't her name Jinx?

    Recipe for victory:

    DJ - 28+ point game

    Bogi - 4+ threes

Embiid - less than 50% FG

Sixers - 112 or less points

Hawks bench scrub - 10+ points

Maxey & Harris - less than 37 points

    Clint & OO - 20+ rebounds

    12 - 20+ combined pts + rebs

Did you just share your 8x parlay prop bet?

Yep, it's really painful watching him go to bitch at the refs during timeouts, ignore what they have to say, then walk away and give a literally hand wave to dismiss them 2-3 times a game.

Yeah true...If Trae smiled at the refs, maybe Hunter would get a stop or a rebound...NOT

They especially loathe when he cries for a call before they even have a chance to blow the whistle.  No one in the organization has impressed upon him how important body language and facial expressions are.  He has gotten better from where he was (for example he hasn’t referred to a female ref by yelling “that b&@th trash!”) but still a long ways to go.

Sorry to tell you this, but Trae's "Body language and facial expressions" are the LEAST of our worries this season.

It used to be the foul bating and complaining,

Now I think its that silly Ice thing he does with his arms that the refs hate.. lol

Why is that silly? People act like every play has to be Tim Duncan...I personally prefer how expressive Trae is on the court.

It's really hard to complain about Trae's play this season now. This was probably Bey's best game of the season. DJ had a near triple double. Capela was average 23-24 Capela (big drop off from our ECF season).

OO with 2-9 in 23 mins...we were getting that kind of production out of Alex Len for way less money. What the hell happened to him?

Garrison Matthews and Wes Matthews are in the rotation...They wouldn't sniff the floor on any serious playoff team.

Hunter the "Defensive stopper" can never get stops and had another game with 0 stocks and less rebounds than everyone who played more than 11 minutes not named Trae.

We have serious roster construction issues  folks. Quin can only do so much with the horses he was given.

For those of you who are much more experienced/educated on the nuances of basketball defense than I, what do you feel is the root cause of our defensive maladies?

    a) Our defensive scheme is subpar
    b) Our players have just been slow to learn the defensive scheme
    c) Our players are a poor fit for our defensive scheme
    d) Our players lack the defensive talent/skillset/effort to make us an average or good defensive team, regardless of the scheme
    e) None of the above (please post what you feel is the true root cause)

My hope is that the answer is "b" and we'll get better as the season progresses, but man, it just feels like we're clueless out there right now.  If the answer isn't "b", then maybe Quin needs to adjust and implement a defense scheme that fits our personnel better... I don't know how difficult that is to do in the middle of the season however.

Where is the "All of the above" option?

I go with Hunter just because he showed a lot of grit with the injury and all.

I choose Hunter as well. Beyond the grit, this was one of the more aggressive games I've seen from Hunter. He was attacking every time he had the ball, even after he came back from the injury.

You consider trading him for a perennial All-NBA player that can bring more impact to the team.  You have to trade him for a person who can be a legit #1 option, seeing that we don't have that on this team.  That means the list of players to deal him for, are very small.  And most of those teams aren't dealing that player.

When you look at this, it's easy to see who has REAL impact on the team, and who doesn't.

One guy is having a career worst year shooting the ball after 12 games, but still finding ways to add value to the team.

But what is the thing that someone else sees?

If people are looking to kick someone out of the NWO, there's only one guy to kick out

@Peoriabird curious if you see any interesting patterns in these advanced stats. The pattern has persisted for the past 4 years.

I’ve been dumbfounded by his minutes since day one.  Jalen, Bogi, and Trent can initiate offense much more than they do.  Not to mention the nonexistent early returns on our first round pick.  Look at the heat last night, all 8 of their guys initiated offense beyond halfcourt outside of Kevin Love, who does his fair share off rebound outlets.  But no the Hawks want to increase the minutes of the Total Turnover King since he entered the league, makes total sense.

Yeah so true BHB...Let's take it oldschool and throw Kobe out there with a fractured thumb. I'm sure he'd be a way better offensive engine than the guy who has the most assists in the entire league 🙄
