Yeaaaaa, I ain't wanna jinx it by mentioning the S word but...
It would certainly be nice if he got that kind of respect in the regular season.
Well it's not just a "superstar" thing. He has the handle, wiggle and mentality (getting into the paint wise) to actively DRAW those fouls. Not just get handed them. We haven't had many players like that.

Turner is terrible man. We got holes in the roster.
-
We sure that's not Spellman playing PG for us now? He's got some heft to him
-
Hunter looks nice tonight.

Anybody else see that floater Trae took from just inside the 3 line? Didn't look too bad actually even though he missed it.
-
Missing some shots but I like how we look, not any crazy shots off the top of my head so far.
-
Ugly couple of minutes.
-
Trae's shot not looking great this preseason.

Damian Jones not even looking for the pass man.

Just give those minutes to Bruno at this point.

I'm gonna love this team. Getting after it better defensively.
Herro can flat out ball man.
Edit: Herro is on fire but Trae still looks bette defensively. Gotta get better coming around screens though.

I think he can be a special role-player on offense (efficient 15-17 ppg), and I still think he can be an all-defensive type of player. If that's what you mean by special than I'm on board, but if you mean the next Scottie Pippen or a perennial All-Star... I think it's a little far fetched based on what I've seen so far at least. His ball-handling and finishing/driving with the ball are all quite poor for an NBA SF. I'm sure he'll improve but I doubt he'll ever become amazing at either of those two things and it's pretty hard to envision him being a top player at his position without being exceptionally good at either.
His touch around the rim seems fine to me. He's not super explosive there but he's got length and strength.

Here's another idea: Cody Zeller for an expiring and a second. He ain't flashy but he can defend, set screens, MAY be able to step out and shoot because he hits his free throws.

The hard truth is that making the playoffs this year isn't THAT big a deal. I think it could happen, but we are very young, so dealing a quality asset for an ok center is not in the cards right now.
I do agree that getting a quality big who can play alongside Collins is a priority going forward, however.

Thanks for making me smile . I’m usually used to big Atlanta collapses but this Braves thing still had me down all day. Ahhh
Man that was brutal.

I think we need John to hit some jumpers against these bigger teams, that's the key.

Trae gets one open shot and drills it. Doesn't matter that's right in front of the logo. The real deal.

Rowland said that Parker couldn't play defense...Shut up Brad!
He really couldn't every time I saw him, but ... he hasn't looked bad at all tonight!

Trae playing 'Beverlyesque' defense!
I can't believe I'm saying this, but Trae actually looks GOOD on defense this game.
Can our rooks stop shuffling their feet on the catch?

I like that Trae is trying to pass but he's got to take that floater.
Agreed, go up with that. Love that he can get into the paint so readily though.

Trae - MVP
Bembry - HustleMan Hustle, playing well
Hunter - Outside of a slight struggle early, this man continues his reign on both ends
Cam - Very aggressive, hasn't hit an open three yet but his defense looks great and his impact showing
Bruno - Did well, much better today than Mon
Jones - Played much better, not good or anything but clearly looked more engaged today.
Len - cheeks
Parker - Really looks good. Playing both ends and plays with a lot of energy. Once we really get him plugged in, I think he can be special as a 6th man.
Collins - Orlando always gives him nightmares, and it didn't end today.
Brown Jr. - Showed a lot more today than Mon. Looks like someone to keep an eye on in CP.
Goodwin - Impressive all around. Our PG's played very well so far.
I hope I didn't forget anyone.
I like what I see out of Parker too. Once he gets used to the system I think he'll be good for us. I like his vision, he's had some sloppy turnovers today and Monday but it's not for lack of vision, just lack of comfort with the guys.

I wonder what Schlenks goal is this year tbh. Will he go out and get a vet big man that can play this year or is he still on the full rebuild mode for a top draft pick?
I think he's in wait and see mode. See if our young guys are ready, make a move closer to the deadline if it becomes available. Either way, our young players look good. Schlenk has an eye for talent, that's for sure. I respect the hell out of him for trading back for his guy (+a pick) then trading UP for his guy in consecutive years. Props to the owner for trusting him, too.

Preseason Game #4: Hawks at kNicks 10/16/19

Our defense didn't look great with Parker/Collins on the floor. I'm starting to buy Collins might not be a C. I was on the "put him at C" train but he just doesn't protect the rim enough.
That's a mighty high bar you've set my friend.
