  1. Jose Antonio Montero... and the other spanish player you are talking about is Pau. I haven't seen him play but I have heard his name in a few documentaries about Fernando Martin, the "first" (in fact the first one was Wallace Bryant) spanish player to ever be drafted and play in the NBA.
  2. Can you go to the jail for a year if you have no antecedents in USA?
  3. I think that's not a problem only in USA. We are in the era of being politically correct.
  4. But... why would any team give him the 4 year max contract? I love him but you have to be desperate to give Millsap a 4 year max contract. If you give that contract to him you'll pay him by the end of his contract 24M for a 34 years old PF.
  5. What people underrate in Marc's game is his leadership. I think there is no interior player with as much leadership as Marc's. The Unibrow is a better player but I think Marc is a better leader at this moment. He can take his team to the next level in both offense and defense. I like Lamarcus but even if he's a great offensive player, Marc is a more efficient scorer and can organize an offense. If we got him we could also become the best defense in the NBA.
  6. I have made some counts and they can't. Manu should retire and Duncan take a pay cut, or both should take a big pay cut. They could also trade Splitter. In that situation he would become unnecessary.
  7. I think Memphis is in a good situation. They can re-sign Marc and Green and still add a quality bench player. San Antonio needs Tony Parker to get to his old form, if not, they are not winning any championship soon... Those two teams are the only ones that I would put ahead of us. I think he is re-signing with Memphis, but no doubt we should be an option. LA could be an option, but I think he would be fool to go to NY.
  8. Right now I feel much worse by how we ended our season. If we were playing like in January we would win the ring. I think it was a bit disappointing, just my opinion. It was a fun game, but not a good one.
  9. I'll search this interview, I want to hear what he really said. A week ago or so I read an interview and I think he really wants to play for the best team and win a ring, in Memphis or somewhere else.
  10. You can't play different starting lineups based on match ups if your bench players do not have enough level. The Spurs can do it because Diaw and Splitter are both very good players. I don't think Scott or Muscala are bad players, but they are not at the same level. So no, it isn't that Bud didn't want, he couldn't. Millsap-Horford is the better combination against every team with our roster. Next year I also want us to be more versatile too.
  11. Not exactly, because Walter if doesn't come to Atlanta would go to an Euroleague team where he would earn more than €1M, probably 1.5M or even more, Gustavo Ayón is making 1.8M in Real Madrid right now. What I want to say it's that if we only pay him the minimum he'd lose money...
  12. I don't think that's very important. James Harden looks extremely desinterested to me and he is the best shooting guard in the league...
  13. He's still younger than some players from this upcoming draft.
  14. I think the Thunders may want to trade him. They seem to select a guard with their pick, and already have Augustin, Morrow and Waiters. They are in win-now mode. What would you give for Jeremy Lamb? I think we could explode his potential and could be cheap...
  15. Convince me. Even if the cap is going to rise to 100M in a few years... if you pay Millsap the 4 year max contract... do you pay by the end of his contract to a 35 year old PF 22M with a 100M cap? Uuuhh... sorry, I wouldn't.
  16. I would like Willy Hernangómez. I think that if we draft him in the second round, then his trade value will rise up once he plays in Real Madrid next season. He could also contribute here in a future... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EE2u5Zrcrek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VWTxIUYTwGs He could become one ot he best players in the Spanish League. That always give you a lot of value. Marc Gasol wasn't going to be that special.. but in just one season he made an incredible progression and the Lakers could trade him for an All-NBA in Pau Gasol. JC Navarro was selected in the second round... and a few years after the Wizards traded him for a first round pick from the Grizzlies. Those two cases are very extreme, because they are also two of the three best spanish players ever, but I think it's worth the risk.
  17. I know the situation, but I still do not see Millsap getting the max. Especially if he wants a 4 years contract...
  18. Sincerely, if Millsap wants anything more than 16.6M, I would let him go...
  19. Madrid just won the Eurolegaue, they have a lot of money and is a solid project. Rudy Fernandez earns more than the ENTIRE team of Gran Canaria... so yes, there is a big difference. BTW at the end of the video appears Doncic. Keep an eye on him... he's only 16.
  20. Well, but, remember it, we will now be remembered as the team with the best record in the HISTORY of the NBA in a single month... that 17-0 was incredible...
  21. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-d4vqiqSMOY
  22. Well, Monroe's max contract is less than Millsap's. Like 3M or so. Anyway I don't think Millsap will be maxed out...
  23. I'm very happy about our future: 1. We have cap 2. We have the COACH OF THE YEAR 3. Our staff has proved us over the last 2 years that they can improve the roster with under-the-radar moves.
  24. I think our staff, considering how they have worked, would like Jae Crowder from Boston. He could improve his shoot under Bud, like DMC did. I also like Jeremy Lin as a back up PG, I think he is underrated right now and has never played in a team like ours...
  25. Mario Hezonja + Kevon Looney. We would have an incredible young core...
