Oh really? So when Collins was dunking over everybody, and showing flashes of being a real good player, that didn't matter? Summer League is much more organized and taken seriously, than what it was 5 - 10 years ago. Summer League showed that Lonzo Ball could be a great playmaker, but his jumper may be broken. And it played out exactly that way throughout the season. Summer League also showed that Donovan Mitchell might have been the steal of the draft . . . which he was.

95% of those "grown men" couldn't play in the NBA. Let's not act like Doncic played in a league that could even beat Villanova in the NCAA tournament. I'm not dogging Doncic at all. I wouldn't been mad at that pick. But I do agree with Kojak that Trae's greatest ability is not his shooting, it's his passing and ability to make others better. When he plays in Summer League, and makes John Collins look like a superstar player, you'll see what I'm talking about. Trae's vision is just as good, if not better, than Lonzo Ball's.

Yeah you can, if you still not intending to be a good team next year. You keep Young and Dennis for one year, and see what you can get for Dennis at the trade deadline or in the 2019 offseason. We don't have to give the keys directly to Trae right away. He can play 20 - 25 min a game as a 6th man, while playing about 5 minutes a game alongside Dennis ( which will be hilarious from a defensive standpoint ). It can be done though.
