  1. Bogi with 5 points; Collins with 7. Announcers mentioned these are our #2 & #3 scorers. To the Sixers credit they are playing good D this game.
  2. Yah Malika looking great this series. She is really cute.
  3. We need Collins to keep up the energy. Trae can't do this all himself.
  4. Nice slam by Collins. You would think the Sixers would figure out how to stop that pick and roll and alley oop play.
  5. And Collins with TWO points. I really feel for Collins. You can tell he's giving it his all but he's just not getting anything done.
  6. That's what I'm asking? What in the hell is going on with Bogi? He has looked like sh--t the entire series. Leave Huerter in at this point. We gotta keep stop giving up the offensive rebounds - Philly with 9 offensive rebounds to our 3.
  7. These scoring droughts have got to stop. Nate finally has Trae back in the game. Bogey having another terrible start along with Lou. Luckily Huerter is helping out. I assume Nate wants to limit some of Trae's minutes in the 1st half and have him go full tilt in the 2nd half.
  8. Trae has turned out to be one of the best draft choices that the Hawks have ever made; if not ever. I remember the analysis of the 2 after the draft. I remember thinking that Trae would fit in very well in Atlanta.
  9. Wow, that was one of the biggest comebacks I've ever seen in an NBA playoff. COMPLETE choke job by the Sixers. Lou Williams and Trae stepped up bigtime. Galinari had a few clutch shots as well.
  10. Lou has gone nuts in the 4th quarter. Crazy comeback. The Sixers got lax and we never gave up.
  11. someone mentioned we need another option other than Trae. It's not Collins. Bogdonovic has looked horrible in the 2 losses and this game. Not sure what we do in the off-season but I would guess we let Collins walk or give him some basic contract. I don't know of any team that would pay him max money. We really need a 2 guard like Seth Curry. Curry 5/8 from 3; Bogy 0-4.
  12. I keep waiting for us to go on a run but it's more like watching us sink in quicksand. I'm speechless.
  13. Huerter and Bogdonavic are having miserable games.
  14. Hawks 1/6 from 3. Sixers 5/8. We have got to get some help 3 point with 3 pt shooting next year.
  15. A point on what lethalweapon said. The Hawks were 30% from 3 pt range in game 4 and still won. I don't know what their 3 point % has been in this series but I think it's in the 30's. This team is built for speed and transition and they also rely on the 3 point shot quite a bit. Bogey and Galinari were brought in to help with this. The Hawks really need to get better with 3 pt %. They could possibly win this series with quickness and playing great D but this team has got to get better at 3 point shooting. Maybe this is something Trae and Hunter can work on in the offseason.
  16. Hawks did a great job in the 3rd; increasing tempo, rebounding, and lot of hustle. Still be stat - Sixers shooting 47% and Hawks shooting 37%. Seth Curry 7-9 from the field.
  17. Collins must have heard me talking about him. He is balling in the 3rd quarter. I know he has at least 8 pts in the 3rd.
  18. Frustrating to watch. I thought about shelling out the 100 plus dollars to go to the game. It's great we made the 2nd round of the playoffs after so many years of missing the playoffs but the reality of being only a 2nd round playoff team is a tough pill to swallow. Does Collins still want max money? I say let him walk. He has been completely invisible this series. We have to get some more defense. Schlenk drafting Okongwu was a start. We have some good shooters yet we continuously go cold from 3 point range. Great we made the playoffs and won the first round but the gap between us in the Sixers is huge.
  19. Let's see what Trae Young can do. If Schlener is wrong on Trae, the rebuild is set back indeed. Dennis will go elsewhere. Trae has a ton of talent so let's what happens.
  20. Was there any thought to taking Sexton at #3? I know some people are saying Bamba. I have to admit the highlight reels of Trae look pretty good.
  21. Good point. Still I have been a Hawks fan since the mid 80's and it seems like we have been in rebuilding mode ever since the Dominique trade. I heard Schlenk on the radio the other day. He sounded nervous about the draft. Everything I've seen so far he seems like a good talent evaluator. Maybe he's looking to load up on the back court to prep for a Schröder trade.
  22. How could we have gotten Bamba? By trading Schröder and #19? Maybe nobody wanted Schröder. We will have to circle back to this post next year to see who was right. This really is a make or break draft for the Hawks. I am kind of surprised that we would gamble. It seems like if wanted a pg Sexton would have been a safer pick; more physical and a good finisher.
  23. I'm surprised the Hawks didn't go big with their #19 pick. Nice to have a good shooter but I would have thought we would try to add someone who could fill in at 4/5. I keep telling myself that Travis Schlenk is a smart basketball guy and has a lot of inside information with these picks.
  24. This should be really interesting. I am eager to hear if we trade for Trae Young and pick up another pick. Doncic and Trae both seem to have a lot of upside but also risks. What will Doncic do against NBA talent? Is Trae Young too small to be a dominant pg? I would not have been surprised if they went with Sexton or Bamba. Seems like the Hawks really need to try to get a center. I think Bagley is the guy they really wanted but what to do - make the best of it.
  25. This team kind of reminds me of the 1998-99 Hawks. Milsap is kind of like Steve Smith/Grant Long. Mutumbo like Howard in a sense a good defensive center who was tough to build an offense around. They were aging and the Hawks decided to hit the reset button after a 2nd round loss in the playoffs. That reset button ended up being I think 8 years before another playoff berth. I also remember going down to a crisp new Phillips Arena for games where there were tons of empty seats. With the Braves and Falcons gleaming over their new stadiums, I just don't see how the Hawks can completely hit the reset button. I think in order to keep some fans in the seats they try to re-sign Milsap. The question is whether this hurts them more in the long run. I just don't see how this organization can embrace the tank with all the cool new stuff in town. People will bail on this team fast.
