    He obviously tries to jack up as many shots as possible and his teammates just happen to be in line of his shooting trajectory so they intercept it and score so it gets counted as an assist. This whole time we thought Trae was a passing wizard but his teammates been bailing him out.

    His usage is only 2 percentage points higher than Kyrie Irving and Kyrie ain't matching him in points or assists. How come De'Aaron Fox or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander or any ball dominant gaurd can't do these things? Why is Trae top 6 all time in 30/10-assist games if any high usage gaurd can do it? I get the guy has flaws, but it's bizarre to me to downplay his ability to accidental.

    I didn't see blame, he played great. Looked as aggressive as he did against Boston and was decisive with the ball.

    I'm not a huge analytics guy, but from what I understand, it's hard to use them measure defensive impact? His defensive rating was 113.2 but that could be attributed to the players he was surrounded with. His DBPM has been around the same From the eye test, Cam looked like he was gambling more, and didn't have the intensity he showed on Khris Middleton in the ECF. Has he had a defining defensive game this season? I think the consensus even before he was traded was that he looked less locked in on defense, but I could be wrong. He's still a plus defender even when he's not locked in.

    How would you explain his drop-off defensively? I'm willing to be swayed.

    The Celtics didn't really push him away from the post like we've seen other teams do. The next step for him is to get his shots aggressively in rhythm when the other team is trying to stop him. He just needs some more lower body strength and to tighten that handle. I think the combo of JC and OO is too enticing to not let develop. I trust Travis to make the right decision, but I like how we look right now.

    I agree with @JTB, if it never came out that Cam requested to be traded the narrative would be "Damn Schlenk effed up, we could be potentially better with Cam here!" or that "Cam died for our sins! The team let him down!". He didn't buy in to the team aspect, but I don't know how much of an impact one disgruntled player who isn't vocal about it has on the team. If he really wanted to and was that immature, he could have leaked it out that he was unhappy, the fact that we didn't know about it till after the fact shows he was professional about it. I think people feel lowkey shafted by Cam so it makes it easier for them to be petty or pissed when talking about him. Kinda like a cat-caller cussing out the girl he just whistled at. I personally feel bad for him but can't help but laugh a little about the irony of the situation he's seemingly placed himself into.

    I don't know about future picks though. That's the only way to add talent for cap-strapped teams which we will be if we take on 2 max contracts. If Ben doesn't work out we'll be done for and basically in the Mavs situation where they haven't been able to add talent around their young star. Tobias and a pick comes in or no Tobias included but picks are attached.

    Lmao they're delusional. They have a malcontent allstar who refuses to play and in return expect a potential allstar, multiple picks, and to shed salary? They'd be already shedding salary with a JC trade alone. It's gonna be interesting watching this unfold.

    Deandre got such a good baseline level of talent. I legit think he can average a solid 23-25ppg in a few seasons. He needs to tighten his handle and add a turnaround J to take another step.
