  1. If you look how well Jaylen Brown is playing, a big part of it is how well he plays off Tatum and attacks the holes in the GSW defense that is scrambling because their committing to Tatum so hard. You need a slasher who likes getting into the paint. No-one on this team can do that consistently. The 2 memorable times this has happened for us was game 7 Kevin and Deandre in our elimination loss.
  2. Luka's numbers will look good, but because he plays at a slow pace his teams won't score a ton. If the opposition can take 2-3 shot attempts in the time it takes for you to take one, your margin for error on offense and defense is slim.
  3. Kinda banking on OO coming back with a reliable jumper.
  4. I'm okay with standing pat unless a star is available. Trae is special, OO looks like he will be special, Dre and JC have potential to be special but are lacking in areas that prevent them from doing it.
  5. I don't mind standing pat. I want to see Hunter after fully recovering, its's obvious his bounce and burst aren't back yet and it's holding him back on his drives; I want to see OO with an offseason of improvements, and I want to see if JC has another level of growth he can get to. JJ and Sharife are icing on the cake for me.
  6. Today is wild. Wonder what the Hawks expectations are now. The top teams have been shifted a bit with Philly and Brooklyn establishing their hold with the most high end talent. We need to draft another star or make a trade down the line. Trae ain't cutting it by himself.
  7. Legler is the best guy at ESPN hands down. I thought he would be a controversial hot take type because I've been geared to think that way, but I love his analysis and lack of bias or need to be right. He just calls it like he sees it.
  8. Rocking dress shoes and high socks with the rest of his outfit already shows bad decision making.
  9. Nailbiter for sure. Praying for JC
  10. Yeah, but when money gets involved you want a level of production or play on a consistent basis. JC isn't paid like a second best player so people who consistently get mad at him when does bad probably don't want him on the team anyway. I agree that currently it's by committee, but I'd prefer someone you can always count on though.
  11. We need consistent high level scoring from the wing, specifically at getting downhill. Dre is the best fit to be the second best player, he just needs to get his bounce back and tighten that handle. Next season I expect another jump. JC does alot of things well that most players don't do, but he's bad at the things needed to be a second star. I think he can still improve, but I've always thought he was best as a 3rd guy and he was paid as one.
  12. He's solidified himself as my favorite player on the team. It's a tie between him, Trae, Dre, Kev and JC...
  13. He obviously tries to jack up as many shots as possible and his teammates just happen to be in line of his shooting trajectory so they intercept it and score so it gets counted as an assist. This whole time we thought Trae was a passing wizard but his teammates been bailing him out.
  14. His usage is only 2 percentage points higher than Kyrie Irving and Kyrie ain't matching him in points or assists. How come De'Aaron Fox or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander or any ball dominant gaurd can't do these things? Why is Trae top 6 all time in 30/10-assist games if any high usage gaurd can do it? I get the guy has flaws, but it's bizarre to me to downplay his ability to accidental.
  15. Tough loss, get well soon Trae
  16. JC 3pt percentage gonna be below 40% after tonight. He gotta knock a couple down.
  17. I'm not tryna hate on Cam, but these jokes are funny af.
  18. I didn't see blame, he played great. Looked as aggressive as he did against Boston and was decisive with the ball.
  19. Tense game, glad we pulled through. I like how JC dominated the first and OO the 4th. Need Dre to get back to form and have him do his thing.
  20. I'm not a huge analytics guy, but from what I understand, it's hard to use them measure defensive impact? His defensive rating was 113.2 but that could be attributed to the players he was surrounded with. His DBPM has been around the same From the eye test, Cam looked like he was gambling more, and didn't have the intensity he showed on Khris Middleton in the ECF. Has he had a defining defensive game this season? I think the consensus even before he was traded was that he looked less locked in on defense, but I could be wrong. He's still a plus defender even when he's not locked in.
  21. How would you explain his drop-off defensively? I'm willing to be swayed.
  22. The Celtics didn't really push him away from the post like we've seen other teams do. The next step for him is to get his shots aggressively in rhythm when the other team is trying to stop him. He just needs some more lower body strength and to tighten that handle. I think the combo of JC and OO is too enticing to not let develop. I trust Travis to make the right decision, but I like how we look right now.
  23. I agree with @JTB, if it never came out that Cam requested to be traded the narrative would be "Damn Schlenk effed up, we could be potentially better with Cam here!" or that "Cam died for our sins! The team let him down!". He didn't buy in to the team aspect, but I don't know how much of an impact one disgruntled player who isn't vocal about it has on the team. If he really wanted to and was that immature, he could have leaked it out that he was unhappy, the fact that we didn't know about it till after the fact shows he was professional about it. I think people feel lowkey shafted by Cam so it makes it easier for them to be petty or pissed when talking about him. Kinda like a cat-caller cussing out the girl he just whistled at. I personally feel bad for him but can't help but laugh a little about the irony of the situation he's seemingly placed himself into.
