  1. You don't see me so I MAY not exist. See how that works? My argument is you can't say because someone is posting on social media that means they are putting in more work than others. @thecampster has already posted about the team liking what Cam is doing this offseason. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean they aren't working is the only point I'm making.
  2. I'd like to see how this plays out. I'm sure he's fine paying small fines for sitting out training camp, but losing those game day checks will probably be a different story.
  3. I never want the Hawks to go through this foolishness. Luckily, all the media bs about the Hawks is we have too much talent and they are always trying to gift our players to the one of the bigger markets. Travis has done a great job constructing this team. Ben is being severily undervalued at this point. I do like @thecampster's trade idea, just because I believe Gallo and Bogi will be gone after this season or next. However, Ben at a minimum needs to get a midrange jumper. The spacing with Ben and Capela would be nonexistent.
  4. Okay, how is my comment ageist? Right or wrong? How many 19 year olds you know like to hear their boss play the piano for them? I'm just saying it's weird that he didn't want to sit down to have a conversation with him to get to know him better. May be Zion likes to hear someone play the piano, but it obviously didn't help their relationship.
  5. Played the piano for him? That's a weird way to bond with a 19 year old.
  6. In the social media age, we think because someone is not posting, they aren't working. You barely saw anything from Hunter last year and look at his improvement. You rarely see anything from JC and he's added something substantial to his game every off season. Some NBA players love the attention and others are more private. It doesn't mean they aren't working just as hard as the ones you see in the runs and training sessions.
  7. Not sure why you're excluding Capela. Some may want to ship him out. Edit: Also, I believe OO is missing too. Seems if we want to do this exercise, we should include the 2021/2022 roster.
  8. It's really weird how some of you pit some of our players against the others and run to take sides. I don't give a flying shoe who turns out to be the best just as long as one or two them reach their star potential. I'm a Hawks fan. Just want them all to be great.
  9. I'm embarrassed I didn't mention Huerter in my post. I'm such a Huerter stan. It's getting to be too much talent for me just to list without having to go back and proof to make sure I included everyone.
  10. Clint is an analytical darling though so he'll be in the top 50. If not, I'll be shocked. All those defensive lovers will probably have him much higher because of his blocks, rebounding and offensive efficiency.
  11. So to get to the overall point I was arguing. Who are the sacred cows that shouldn't be in front of Jalen his first year as a rookie? That shouldn't be a tough conversation. There are none.
  12. That's not what a sacred cow is though. Basically a sacred cow can do no wrong, no matter how terrible they are. The players in front of Jalen are John Collins, Gallo, Hunter and Reddish (You can argue Huerter and Bogi too). Of those players, which should not have a rotation spot ahead of Jalen? It can be argued that Hunter and Reddish's ceilings are just as high, if not higher than Jalen's. Gallo is a vet and if Jalen proves he's better than Gallo then we have something cooking, but I don't expect a raw rookie to come in right away and contribute what Gallo does. To me, there are no sacred cows. The Hawks just have a very deep team and for those of us excited about Jalen, we understand that we have other young talented players too. I'm super excited for Jalen and hope he leaps frogs everyone his first year, because that's great for the Hawks. I just don't see that happening his first year and that doesn't mean I don't see the potential in Jalen. I'm super excited to see what he becomes, but I'm just excited to see what Cam, Dre, Hunter, OO, Cooper, and JC become too.
  13. Please elaborate on these sacred cows playing in front of him.
  14. I feel a special season coming up this year. Let's get this Championship in your age 23 season.
  15. 1. Trae Young is top 2 in MVP Voting. 2. Hawks finish in top 10 in both offensive and defensive efficiency. 3. Hawks finish top 2 in the Eastern Conference. ( I would say as the number 1 seed, but want to give myself some wiggle room).
  16. Good insights from Bogi. https://theathletic.com/2828578/2021/09/17/bogdan-bogdanovic-on-his-knee-deandre-hunter-and-a-new-mentality-for-the-hawks-this-season?source=user-shared-article
  17. I should clarify my answer. This season I don't want either. However, if you are saying if I had to trade for one of the two, it'll be MPJ in my opinion. You can teach team defense, but you can't teach great to good offense.
  18. Who brought me all my presents last Christmas!?!
  19. If he or TLC are your 15th players, that's quality depth. They will be much better than the 15th players on most teams. I don't mind the signing. Gives us another big body for training camp. Edit: I also know it's non-guaranteed which is even better.
  20. Full JJ run from earlier in the summer.
  21. Bens starting salary this season is $35 million. None of those players will approach that unless they show drastic improvement. If they do, you won't need Ben anyway. Ben can't play the three because he refuses to shoot and is not a good outside shooter thus far.
  22. Wall isn't a better shooter though. Not sure how his defense is either. Like @JayBirdHawk says adding Wall's salary will cause them to have a huge tax bill.
  23. Lol..I'd have Mitchell one and Tatum two. No idea why the media just acts like Tatum is so much better than Mitchell.
