Hey, show the Raptors some love. They are going to be in the playoffs this year. they have a better team than the bulls, cleveland, boston and philly and wahsington. i think chad is biased and hates the raptors because they are a canadian team. i have never heard Chad say anything positive about the raptors.

Definitely a fair assessment of the team. However i don't like the fiscal responsibility comment. the hawks tried to get players but nobody significant was willing to come here and there were only a few decent above average players available in free agency. Billy king made the right move by waiting and not spending big money on a crap player. He pulled a good trade and with the money available we can target a good player next year hopefully.

According to the Memphis commercial appeal he got the the maximum - a six year 86 million dollar deal which interestingly makes him the second highest foreign paid player behind Dirk Nowitzki.

I cant'see how ratliff got that huge contract. He has a history of injuries and is just a role player but he gets 34 millions dollars over three years. Blazers made a risky and maybe bad move by giving him what i think is 5-6 million over his market value.

nice article. i think payton should stay with the celtics too. I don't think many teams want him that much now. his defense was terrible last season and didn't so much offensively because of the players he was playing with. The hawks should maybe try to get him considering the lack of guards Atlanta has. He might want to come too since he will get to hog the ball.

i don't understand why Okafor didn't play. he didn't even get the opportunity. i thought he would be good at the olympics. he doesn't take away shots from the shooters and plays excellent defense. he should've played considering the foul trouble Duncan was in.

He actually isn't getting 29 million a year. His guarnteed contract is like 21 million for 5 years. 6th year is not guarenteed and there are some incentives in it. i think Toronto made an excellent move in acquiring him.

I happen to think Carmelo is more talented and competitive than Mo. Carmelo wants to win and and beat Lebron so he will be aiming for some things that will keep him motivated to improve and become a great player.

i think carmelo was on it last year so i don't think they care if the player is in college or not.

I hate this player but i think the portland staff thinks that Miles is still young and can develop. Also, i read some reports that miles has been diligently working out this summer and has improved his shot. Still, a bad signing.

An american high school player will never jump to a european team because the money and fame isn't what it is in the nba. And if an nba gm is wiling to draft that player why would he even consider jumping to Europe.

Yo, i was thinking why doesn't Billy Knight try and get international players like Sarunas Jasikevius and a few other good ones to play for Atlanta. If they are giving that much trouble to the international American team they should be good in the NBA. Plus many of them can probably come cheap. If we mix a few of those players with american athletic players we should be a good team, shouldn't we? Your thoughts?

Nicely said Eeee, i couldn't agree with yo more. American basketball is soooooo flawed. what i was thinking was here in america Lebron james is considered to be the basketball saviour because of all his "unquestionable skills" but overseas he probably would even have trouble making a team.that's how much difference there is between the internatinal and NBA game. Also i was thinking why doesn't atlanta assemble a team like lithunia, get the lithunanian players for cheap and put them in an Atlanta uniform. That team could be deadly considering all the trouble the are giving the americans and we can put some american athletic players in there too.

We should've gotten him. Toronto gets a steal considering his non guaranteed contract. Woods might turn out to be a half decent centre and we should've at least made an offer similar to toronto's.
