  1. What does that have to do with Brandon Jennings? Jennings was a net negative over the whole series. He's a ball stopper who takes awful shots and doesn't play defense. He'd just get killed by Satoransky or whoever Washington wanted to throw out there. Baze is bad, I don't have a problem saying that. That goes back to bad personnel decisions.
  2. Brandon Jenning was awful. Yeah the personnel decisions have been pretty bad. Glad they made a step to get Bud away from those.
  3. I don't see the reasoning for keeping an old 43 win squad together. Paul and Dwight are major parts of this team and they aren't getting any better. Dwight is very clearly getting worse. Paul's offensive game is suited to last into his older years but his defense has gotten worse by advanced/counting metrics and just the eye test. If Dennis can play like he did vs Washington, then you could even build around that. 25/8/2 on 46/43/84. No use in wasting years of his prime trying to save this sinking ship though. Look to get him a young running mate.
  4. Too reliant on his length. Doesn't really read the ball on rebounds / box out. Just tries to go get it without a plan and often times this leads to the other team getting the ball because he has terrible position. Tries to block everything which gets him out of position. Very careless with the ball which leads to a lot of turnovers.
  5. He has intriguing skills for sure. But he's completely lost on the floor at this point. He has that unicorn upside don't get me wrong... my main point is I don't know how you can like this guy but dislike 1 and done prospects on the basis of them not being NBA ready until their contract is almost up. I don't think you're going to start to see returns from Jeanne for a while.
  6. I really don't see how you can hate the 1 and done guys but like Jeanne. He's a massive project. FIrst you have to get his weight up, then you have to teach him how to play ball. Year away from a year away type of guy IMO. Certainly has great potential but is the most likely to bust.
  7. I wouldn't be averse to the pick at 19. Not rooting for it, but I'd understand the thought process and get behind it pretty quick. His attitude, hustle, and rebounding builds a solid floor. If his athleticism starts to return, then you start thinking about the ceiling. At 31 it's almost a no brainer for me. Obviously the injuries are scary. I think it's a given that if a team selects him then they have the medical records / workout and feel comfortable. I think around 17 to the Bucks is where teams start thinking about pulling the trigger on Giles. I don't see any way he gets by the Nets twice given their situation.
  8. If not Isaac, I'd consider a small trade up for Zach Collins. Maybe dangle the TWolves pick to some teams later in the lottery. I'd love to offload Baze AND get Isaac though.
  9. I don't think he compares to Durant at all. I love Isaac though, I think he's the third best prospect in this class. I don't really have a comparison for him but he's gonna be a cornerstone on defense.
  10. THJ is a nice 6th man IMO. He can dribble and get buckets. Not a particularly great shooter (35% from 3, league average is 35.8%) , can make a nice pass on occasion but that's not really a strength of his, not good on defense. He's not really great in any area, but he can get hot at any time and score a bunch. I'd be ecstatic if Bembry suddenly developed into a ~38% 3 pt shooter because he'd be a great SG next to Dennis. He is nice on defense, great passer, moves well without the ball. Just can't shoot from deep at all.
  11. It'll be interesting to look at this from a % of cap standpoint. I imagine it'd be somewhat consistent. Don't wanna look at that right now though, playoffs on.I imagine the convo for THJ starts around 11M per. I'd be cool with that. Over 15M is getting into dangerous territory.
  12. Allen Crabbe got offered 4 yr 75M last year, Tyler Johnson got 4 yrs 50M, Baze 4 yrs 70M (and he took a small discount), Hill got 4yrs 48M. Maybe the league realizes they messed up and things reset, but that's what these guys have been getting paid. Clark is a little undersized and wasn't as heavily featured as these other guys, that's the only thing that makes me believe he could slip through the cracks a bit.
  13. I still like Ian Clark as a cost effective FA signing. He has a good skillset to pair with Bembry from the bench. If THJ gets too big of an offer, I'd look that way instead of matching. I could rant about rebuilding all night, I'll just leave it up to TS. He knows what it takes to get to the top at this point.
  14. That really sounds like letting Millsap walk. Because that contract is gonna be hard to move.
  15. Monk is a tough shot maker. I don't feel great about the fit next to Dennis though... too small (height and doesn't have the wingspan to make up for it). His best fit would be a team like Philly or Milwaukee where he's the smallest guard on the floor. I don't think Schlenk is going to do anything drastic this year. Not sure if he can leave the Warriors immediately, but he won't have much time to evaluate the situation regardless.
  16. I like this one. I think we're gonna start getting those good cheap FAs again.
  17. I don't mind the try with Dwight. You need rim protection and rebounding to beat Cleveland. Or else you'll get whooped by Lebron driving and kicking or Tristan Thompson giving those shooters second chances. What really hurt is that we had no shooters and poor secondary ball handlers. Horford helped with both of those... I really want to see the team in the alternate universe where we have Horford and Dwight as the frontline and trade Millsap for other pieces. Sap was great, but I think that scenario would've led to a better year.
  18. I don't think we're trading Dwight. If we do then so be it, but I don't see it happening.
  19. Looks like a good choice. I'm glad he comes from the Warriors, maybe he will get us some shooters around Dennis and Dwight.
  20. Marcus Smart will never live up to being picked 6th unless his shot randomly becomes consistent. He's a nice piece, he'd be a star if he could shoot.
  21. Assuming he pans out, he'll be one of those guys that can defend multiple positions. Good fit for the new NBA.
  22. Probably unless he shoots up draft boards over this last part of the process.
  23. Right! Like you watch everything thats available online and it's unbelievable that he's projected as a second rounder in this draft. Like this video You wait for them to crush you with the negatives but nope.

    Bam Adebayo

He reminds me of Tristan Thompson a good bit.
