  1. I dont think Rasheed can shoot over Smoove so easily like you are saying Diesel. Not Rasheed or anyone in this league.
  2. Maybe he doesnt have the entire package, but then maybe he does, he just needs to work on it. But you forgot one thing he has and that is HEART, a real big one. He plays with alot of intensity, heart and desire. Great Job BK
  3. can someone remind Diesel that Marvin Williams is the most talented player in this draft and the best player as well. Yea BK if Garnett is on the board and we have a PF dont pick him ok.
  4. Im a Tarheel fan and I saw alot of games this year approxtimately 15 plus the tourney games and we all know how May just dominated the Tourney this year. With this trade we take care of 2 starting positions and are two most needed ones. We will have a set 5 forst next season Felton Chill Smoove Al May May is very ahletic, he may need to shed about 15 or so pounds, but he is still very much in shape. He is not a monster at blocking shots, but he will get his share and he is definitely an upgrade over any center we have now. He is a double double player and he can bang with the best of them and has great low post moves. And Raymond, well we all know what Raymong can do...he can run, run and run some more, while is a great penetrator with great quickness and toughness and can shoot the long ball. Now if this trade is true. The hawks do want to keep Marvin, but this trade will happen if the Bobcats to pick Felton and May with the 5th and 13th
  5. I still say, just like others have said here. If we do end with Marvin, try really hard to trade harrington on draft night to take Jarrett Jack. We will be set for years and years.....all we need is a center and we can work that out in free agency.
  6. I also like that Idea very much Jez. We should just go with Marvin, possibly the best player in the draft and trade Al for a mid first and pick up Jarrett Jack. Jack Chill Smoove Marvin Center
  7. Lets say the obvious choice is Marvin Williams at #2, because he is just too good to pass on. Lets say that BK also would LOVE to just have Deron Williams, but he just wont pull the trade with the Bobcats for the #5 and 13th pick, because just in case Deron gets picked up before the Hawks pick at 5. So this is the scenario that I was thinking. On draft night is we select Marvin at #2 because we would also just love to have him, but lets say Deron drops to #5 to the Bobcats, can we then trade Marvin for Deron and #13? And then at 13 we select, Sean May or Maybe Channing Frye if he drops to 13th. I hope you all understand my scenario
  8. Last nite I had a dream.... That we have traded Josh Childress and Tyronn Lue for Gilbert Arenas. I was already thinking in my dream the Hawksquawk board will be. In my dream even the ESPN analyst were analyzing the trade for us and how good it would for the Hawks.
  9. OK slow down a bit.....we are getting the 19th pick and J Will for who????? Because as far as I see, I still see Harrington in your lineup setup.....please explain more who will we be giving up and don't tell me Diaw for 19th and J Will. Also is still looks like we are keeping our 31st, so whats the dealio, TMAC?
  10. Ok, but nowhere in that article it says that Andersen will be with us next year. So is he coming or what?
  11. Marvin and Smoove are both 6'9 230 lbs. Both are only 19 years old, both have tremendoues world of potential. Most likely both will grow another inch or so. We can easily put Smoove as a PF, especially with his shot blocking ability and have Marvin at the 3 and of course Chill at the 2. We trade Al for a mid first and select Jack. In the off season we have so much money to throw around that we can easily offer a good deal for Daly or another serviceable big man. Diesel work the magic to make this happen. Draw up a blue print
  12. No Matter what Diesel says, he will not convince me, that we should select Deron or Paul over Bogut. Bogut is a 7 foot center, that dominated college basketball. 20 ppg and 12 rpg, is dominating, especially when he faced double and even triple team night after night. We never had a big man with that kind of ability, to pass the ball so well out of double teams and that is exactly what Bogut can do, he can also set high screens and shoot the long jumper. I mean this guy is just so versatile......he has great work ethic and great post moves down low and he can take it out on the perimeter just as well. Had we kept Pryz, then definitely I would go with Deron or Paul, but since we didnt, and we still need a center and PG. The clear choice is Bogut, is so hard to come up with a big man with that kind of abilities at 20 years old
  13. You have convinced me even more, Walter. These days is so hard to find a good center with size, and we found him with Bogut, of course if we do end up with the 1st pick of the draft. But no way I would select Paul or Bogut. We desperately need a center and the truth of the matter is, yes we do not have a PG and yes we kind of do. He is the question, Would you rather go in next season with this lineup: Paul - PG Chill- SG Smoove- SF Harrington- PF Ekezie- C Right now as it stands, that will most likely be the starting lineup and it might be Collier instead of Ekezie Or would you rather have this lineup: Lue- PG Chill- SG Smoove- SF Harrington- PF Bogut- C I would take this lineup as my starters next season ANYDAY over the first lineup I mentioned. Yes maybe Lue is no allstar, but he is not a bad little PG neither, and his defense is better than Paul. We all know what Lue can do, he can shoot the ball extremely well, he penetrates very well also and constantly. I really think that we need Bogut much more than we need Paul's services.
  14. Sorry Hotlanta, but U cannot say that Iggy is a better athlete than Chill. Is like you sound so positive saying that. Chill gets up and up just as well, dude, last night he was skying to get rebounds over Knick players. IMO Chill is as ahletic as Iggy. And yes I will take Chill over Iggy.
  15. Well one thing for sure about Boris. He has had to had work last offseason on his jumper, because his jumper and free throw shooting is much more improved. You are all right, if this because aggressive like he did last night, he is a darn good player, very versatile......he can handle the ball, run an offense, shoot quite good, can drive, is strong, he is 6'8, wow, can rebound and most important can play defense. I have a hunch that BK wants Boris around to play with Chill and Smoove.
  16. And if we can't get Jack, then we can get Gilchrist in the second round just like NBAdraft.net has him going. Even Nate Robinson, he is also a playmaker and he is the same size as Paul or maybe just an inch smaller, but his scouting report says that he can really leap.
  17. Sorry but I don't want no center that my SG averages more rebounds per game and a center thats avgs .92 bpg.
  18. This is a good question, because this is something which we will talk about for next 2 months. Do we choose Bogut, a 7 footer, 245 lbs, 20 years old with so much to learn, a center we desperately need, that just absolutely dominated the collegiate game this year and the MWC. OR Do we choose Paul, an undersize PG with great playmaking skills, shoots the ball extremely well, that on his defense played against the best PG's in the country in the ACC (Felton, Jack, Gilchrist) My choice will be Bogut, you can't teach size and these days is so hard to find a talented big man like him. Is so much easier to find a PG, and this draft is full of then and I am sure we can work something out to get one of them. Thats my take on this situation.
  19. Yea the Knicks always assume than EVERYONE wants to play in New York. Highest paid team in the league and can't make the playoffs By the way, I know LJ and Ward are still in their payroll, but is Childs and Starks still on it too?
  20. I saw Gilchrist name on the nbadraft.net site but not on the draftcity.com site. So whats the deal with him is he coming out? On the NBAdraft.net site it has him going 34, say if we can't make any trades, don't you think we should draft him at 30th pick. That we be a very successful draft for us #1 pick - Andrew Bogut - Center #30 pick - John Gilchrist - PG #59 pick - best player available Yes they do question his leadership skills, but I think he will do just fine in the NBA in that part. I think he can be just as good as Jack and the other PG's in this draft.
  21. JTFan31

    Sad Fact..

Al doesnt make us better nor worse, but do we want our best player as of right now to not make us better, heck no. We need someone that will not be in the way of both Josh's, and Al is right now. I say we trade him, to receive a quality big man, either Center or PF...and draft Bogut or Paul or trade down to get Paul or Deron. I dont see Al as a missing piece in this team.
  22. I havent had the pleasure to watch Bogut play, just in spurts.....and I can't really judge a player by watching 5 minutes of it. If all that is really what they think about Bogut, then bring him on, baby.
  23. I wouldnt mind at all bringing Googs back, he has done practically everything we have ask him to do here in ATL. But then again, we all wanted Sura back and we all know what happened there.
  24. Thanks Jay, for all your insider work and information you would bring to us constantly, we all appreciated it. Good Luck in your future career.
  25. Well thats because May was just absolutely dominating Illini big men that they were all in foul trouble and Weber was force to put Powell on May at times, thats why Powell was on May. May was just killing Illini big men. Oh and wait, was that Sheldon Williams that May got 26 pts on and 24 rebounds on the 2nd game of UNC-Duke?
