  1. I dont which Felton you have been watching, but by the sound of it, it sounds like you were all watching his freshman year. Felton does get out of control at times, but he can shoot the ball and man can he penetrate and break a defense down and is just fun to watch how he runs the fast break. He is an exceptional defender and like Roy Williams says, he is the "Engine". Felton is a top point guard and will be in this league, probably the best PG in this draft, and of course Deron might challenge that and so can Paul, but this draft is very pg heavy, if we can trade down. We can snatch a very pg and a very good contributor to the team, hopefully a big man.

    Sean May.....

I agree with you Diesel. Sean May has all the tools to be a very successful PF in this league. He has great footwork, very good free throw shooter, great rebounder, great post moves, very strong, runs the floor extremely well, good shooting touch and best of all great soft hands. I agree he should come out this year, because he completely dominated the tourney this year, his stock is way up and it will only keep him up. I dont see anyone in predraft camps stopping May. He is the PF we need, and he may very well be the #1 pick this year.
  3. Yea baby, win some more Hornets and Bobcats and keep losing Hawks, we want that first pick baby.

    Sean May

Quote: I don't think he will be as effective in the NBA. He is a talent but has a lot trouble playing against bigger/taller opponents. He is an undersized pf and I think he will have a lot of trouble getting his shot off in the big leagues. I agree and disagree with you here, capstone. I think he will be effective in the NBA, he is powerful, likes contact, rebounds extremely well, very good perimeter touch, great footwork, and his forte is great soft hands, but yes he is undersize to play center in this league, he is 6'9, 260 lbs, he can play PF and some center to relieve the starting center, although he is very strong and powerful.
  5. Anyone know the deal with these two tonight?
  6. I couldn't agree with you more, Dolfan. Al is our future PF, he is becoming very very difficult to stop down low, he has a great crossover and first step. Chill is our future SG, he plays great defense and like I said, he develops a consistent jumper and bulks up, he will an allstar in this league. Smoove has a couple of things to work, we all know he can rebound and block shots. He needs to work with Chills alot this summer on his jumper and concentrate more on his assignments on defense, even though that weak side block is beautiful to watch, hehe
  7. Well I for one, loved him from the moment we picked him up. He is doing exactly and even more of what I expected him to do, because I never knew this kid was so d@mn of a great rebounder. Chill, hardly turn the ball over and he drives with authority. Chill just needs 2 things two improve right now, and he is very capable of improving them before next season. 1. Consistent outside shot 2. Weight gain, about a good 15 pounds of muscle Chill does this, and he will and I repeat he will become an allstar in this league for many many years.
  8. What matters to me is what has he averaged when he started getting significant playing time. Forget the first half of the season, Chill was going through a big transition time in the beginning, now he is showing what he can really do out there. So when the season is over lets look at what he avg in the last 40 games of the season instead of looking at what he averaged in all 82 games of the season.
  9. FORGET CHRIS PAUL !!!! We need to keep losing to select Bogut, he is our man, he is the #1 pick. THis is full of PG's, pg's just as good or even better IMO than Paul. I mean we have Felton, Jack, Gilchrist, Deron Williams, and Daniel Gibson. If we end up with a pick between 15-20, most likely we will select one of those above mentioned. It will be 2 years in a row very successful draft for the Hawks. If we can sign a big free agent, or maybe two very serviceable free agent, we can definitely have a playoff team next year.
  10. I been looking really hard at the NBAdraft.net board and I have come a conclusion of who is better for us right now Bogut or Paul I say Bogut all the way, is very hard to find a big man now a days, especially as good as Bogut. He can do everything that this team needs. Yes we do need a PG also, but this years draft is full of them. Say if we get Lakers pick, we can most likely take at that pick Gilchrist or Jack. The real question which one? Who you would all take Gilchrist or Jack. I haven't seen much of neither, only when they play UNC and Jack thus far has impress me the most in one game VS UNC. But I feel going into this draft with the hopeful of getting the #1 pick and also getting the lakers or Celtics pick, that we should draft Bogut and then Gilchrist or Jack with the other pick.
  11. The game is not even on TV, not even league pass, WHY?
  12. Didnt you all notice that? So if he was waived how can be still be traveling with the team?
  13. I understand and we all understand what you are saying, d2v16. I started rooting for this team to win and win and win, once it became obvious that we were going nowhere this year, like alot of us assumed.......then I rather see us lose to get a next superstar. Why start winning at the end of the season when is clear that you are out of playoff contention? I wanted the Hawks to keep Toine. In the beginning I wasn't to sure about him, I just didn't like his style of pay, but as the season progressed.....the one thing I noticed was that this guy is a winner, all he wants to do is WIN !!! He played like a warrior, he played with heart, determination, and desire......that is one thing I admire in a player ala Kevin Garnett. I wasn't happy with the trade but we all very much assumed it was going to happen....and when it happened we all knew Payton wouldn't wear a Hawks uniform. Thats why we got jipped by this trade.....basically we traded Toine for a 1st round pick.
  14. Ditto. Walker did everything Woody asked for and he came to play night in and night out. The man was as consistent as we have seen in a Hawks uni for a while. He played with alot of emotion and desire. I wouldn't mind at all if we can sign him in the offseason, but I seriously doubt that will happen.
  15. Actually they will buyout, is already on Hoopshype.com
  16. I tell you who I would love to have in the 2nd round. Jawad Williams, this guy plays in a very talented North carolina team, and with a 14PPG avg, is a very tough defender, great hustler, very good shooter and great rebounder. I have watched over 15 UNC game's this year and this guy plays 110% every night, with great intensity. Would love to get him in 2nd round. NBA Draft.net Jawd's profile ESPN Jawad Williams Check out his weaknesses, all of that will get better in the NBA. He can be a steal in this draft.
  17. Thats BS, once you make it to the NBA, you better give it 110% or mind as well go to the NBDL. I liked CC, his shot was improving drastically, and you can tell he worked on it. Hands down he was the Hawks best shooter on the team, I just wished he would of stayed healthy. The man did avg in the last month of the season 19ppg. Dont be surprise if the Hawks invite him to summer league or training camp next season.
  18. LOL, ummmm NO, Marvin can not run the point. But I tell you this, Bogut can definitely control the paint area. Then we draft Jack or Gilchrist.
  19. Very Clever, CBA reject. For a moment there I was saying what the heck is he talking about, I was then wondering why you really are a CBA reject, hehe
  20. No, I disagree. I feel that we should take Bogut, he avg 20 ppg, 11 rpg, 2bpg. Right now we need that kind of talent for our center, a PG can be found much much easier than a Center.
  21. Well the pick is a 2005 1st rounder or future 1st rounder (hawks website), but the bottom scroll of ESPN it said it was a 2005 or 2006, and maybe thats why Hawks site says "future". I sure hope is a 2005, I feel there is alot of talent in this years draft, and probably Boston will be a better team next year and the pick will be a late one.
  22. I feel the same way Nicholas, as much as I want this team to win the game when I am watching them, I also want them to lose....that way we will most likely be guaranteed the 1st pick of the draft. If we do go with Bogut, man I sure hope he isn't a bust like Kwame Brown turned out to be. I watch the games, to see how well the 2 Joshes play. I know alot of people questioned the pick of Chill at #6, but with minutes this guy puts up allstar numbers, even as a rookie, and just wait till he develops his outside shot, he will definitely be an allstar in this league. He amazes n how well he rebounds, is amazing that he is so thin, and yet he is a great rebounder. He is definitely our 2nd best rebounder on the team, 1st is Walker....and watchout he can be just as good.
  23. I agree with you here. Diaw should of been starting over Lue, Diaw was invested on and not lue, Diaw is still a future part of this team and not Lue. Diaw did nothing, but play good when starting at the point, and Diaw also looks for Childress more than Lue does. Lue just goes for Walker and Al.
  24. I dont know, I am very skeptical because Baron is more hurt than healthy. I think we can get a better deal by trading either Al or Toine, which ever of the two we are gonna trade, than getting Davis.
