  1. Quote: Im on Bellsouth DSL in Atlanta and I'm not having a problem. Wierd? I have the same access, and I'm not having any problems. Hopefully you are able to fix your issues soon, good luck. The site looks great!
  2. Quote: The Suns would jump at that deal. They'd probably do it with just the future 1st from the Hawks, you could keep the 17th pick. It's a big risk for you though because it's unlikely Smith falls to the 7th pick. I don't see it being that big of a risk for the Hawks, because there are a few other names I like with the 7th pick. Having the 6th and 7th pick, helps the Hawks fill some voids, and we can focus on filling needs with the later picks. We could also go big or just draft the best talent out there at the time with the rest of our draft picks. You can't go wrong adding another lottery pick, if you are a team that is rebuilding.
  3. Knight actually maybe try to trade for the rights to Q-Rich along with adding the #2 pick. I don't think we even have a chance at Daniels. I would do the trade you proposed with the Suns, and the Clippers one. Josh Smith may become a shooting guard at some point in his career, but he will need to improve on alot of things, before that happenes.
  4. I don't think adding Harris will help to land Kobe all that much. If Kobe feels Atlanta is for him he will sign here, because Knight will most likely give Kobe a max contract. The thing is Kobe would be moving across the united states, because I don't see his family stay that far away from him after all the rape charges. He needs to be close to his family if he isn't found guity, because of the trust issues, but that is their business. Kobe knows Atlanta or let me say Kobe HAS To know Atlanta. He has only had warm welcomes by Hawk fans, and i'm sure he remembers those times. I remember the Hawks cheered for him a entire game, and he ended up getting the game winner. Remember how the Hawks used other players coming to town to promote the team? Now that was stupid.
  5. I really can't wait to hear about this workout, and I hope Jefferson does a good job in the Hawks eyes. I would like to hear what they say about Peja also.
  6. I hope your right about #2 and Jason Terry being enough for the #2 pick. Also about the article: Dwight Howard seems to only want to stay close to home, which is wise, and that is why he doesn't mind Orlando.
  7. All we can do is read what others have said about there worksout, and think what we want after seeing a player play. I would take Smith higher than Snyder, and I hope the Hawks aren't thinking to use the #6 pick on Snyder. Josh Smith seems to have a good head on his shoulders, but I see Snyder having a better rookie season. Smith will have a better NBA career when all is said.
  8. Alot of questions for Josh Smith. http://www.draftcity.com/articles/0030.htm
  9. I would like to see the Hawks form a solid coaching staff that can deal with 2 high schoolers at the sametime. Dominique Wilkins must be involved some way, and he needs to be involved with any of our young guys. We also need to form a solid coaching staff/teachers for the overseas players we draft. We are far from any of this!!
  10. I don't think it is a thin draft at all for teams like the Hawks. Even the Dallas Mavs wish they had a first round pick, so they could select one of the centers. Pavel I would defently draft if he is there in the second round, but that isn't likely. Maybe we can trade for a late first round pick(20's), and select him there!! What I like about Pavel is hasn't played many minutes overseas, and whatever team drafts him can mold him into what he will become.(or atleast try)
  11. Quote: We could send #6, #17, and a future first to Orlando for #2... if we wanted... I would hate to see us give up so much!! Future first protected? I much perfer the Hawks to let Jason Terry go in a trade. How are we ever going to rebuild if we have no draft choices!!
  12. Stay away from both of theses guys. Ok....I will answer the topic: If I had to pick one I would select Duhon because the Hawks could get him in the second round.
  13. Telfair is horrible. The kid can't do anything but pass..... Why even waste our time on Telfair? I much rather have Nelson over him(can't believe I said that). There are many other point guards in this draft I hope the Hawks are able to select in the late first round/2nd round. Telfair is at the bottom of my list.
  14. I can see the Bulls trading the #3 for Al Harrington. I can't see them adding Jamison, or Wally, and why Shareef? that would be a waste of a pick since he is a free agent at the end of the year. The Bulls will have to unload Davis or Robinson like someone else said if they are going to take on Jamison. The only player from the list I see is Al Harrington. They know what they are getting, and he comes at a fair price. Al wants to start(like everyone), and has a good work ethic. He is also getting more experience from the playoffs.....
  15. Quote: I totally agree.... James/Anthony/Bosh/Wade/Hinrich are the only 5 I can think of ahead of that had much better seasons than Diaw. We need to start paying attention to defense and Diaw is a good way to start. Can't leave out Josh Howard on your list. Boris needs to work on his cofidence to shoot the ball, even if he feels he will miss. The guy needs to stop pass the ball out so much. Night after night you see 18-20 minutes, with ZERO points. He was thinking about his O game so much, it hurt him playing defense at times. Hopefully Boris gains some cofidence this offseason, and is ready next year. All I ask from Boris is that he gets better year after year, and he gains cofidence in his shot.
  16. I would let Peja be the man on my playoff team, if I had to decide. The guy is outstanding, and right now he isn't the main attraction. Early this season he was the main attraction when Webber was hurt, but the Kings didn't use him as the go-to-guy during the playoffs. Peja put up some points during the playoffs, but he would be oustanding if he knew he was "the man"...... I will take Peja over alot of people in the league!! He is so accurate, you can't teach that.
  17. Quote: no6 pick no17 and Terry I wouldn't do this by all means, horrible! Well not horrible, but not wise if Knight did it. It is a gamble with Howard, and offering that would only make it that much more of a gamble. If he pains out to be a superstar than ofcourse it would be fine. We have many spots that need to be filled, and the future to think about. I personally feel we can get a quailty player with the 17th pick, but ofcourse some don't think we are. I would offer the #6/JT for the Clippers #2/plus, and if we need to throw in Boris Diaw I would work something out. I perfer the Hawks to keep the 17th pick, because I am all about bringing up the young talent. I just think we can have a need filled with that pick, and I don't want to see it go to the Clippers. Why would the Clippers even want the 17th pick? I see them having no interest for it, because it's just another GTY contract that will have to pay!! They would be interested in our lottery pick, but a 3rd team may need to be involved to make something happen. I don't see the Clippers wanting JT that badly, but other teams may!! We need to jump on a trade with the Magic, if they feel Okafor isn't going to be realible. Now alot of Magic fans are wanting Dwight Howard, so they may just keep the pick.
  18. Quote: We leave the draft with: Josh Smith #6. Kris Humphries #15. LaMarcus Aldridge #17. Snyder #25. If this is the case I wouldn't be very happy with the final verdict of our draft. If we have those picks I suggest we take theses players if they are there:(ofcourse one person per pick) #6 Josh Smith or Andris Biedrins #15 Tiago Splitter, Peter John Ramos #17 Josh Childress, Peja Samardziski #25 Roko Leni Ukic, Sasha - if their stock goes up I pick one with the 17th pick. I also like Ha-Seung Jin with the late pick.
  19. Quote: wouldn't give up Peja for Pierce and neither would Sacramento Ofcourse not, salary doesn't even come close to matching up.
  20. I was very pleased to hear the news, and I can't wait to see why type of coach he is going to be for the Hornets. He still has alot of talent, but how will the players react to him, is one of the things I will be looking out for. I'm glad he is off the markets, because I really didn't want him as the Hawks coach. From what I read from many..many..many..different people is he has a horrible work ethic, but lets see what he can do with the Hornets. Will Jamal Mashburn be waived now!
  21. I am not even close to being interested in Chris Webber, and he doesn't help us in anyways. NOR does he fix any of our problems..... He is the next Jamal Mashburn, injury prone!! PEJA is someone I would go after, and would be willing to hand over the #6 pick for, NOT Chris Webber.
  22. Don't be down in the dumps so soon, as you never know what can happen. Even if we are stuck with the #6 pick, atleast we will fill some voids.
  23. The Magic will select Okafor most likely, and they should. They will check him out, and look him over about a 100 times. If he can be fixed, they will select him...... Ofcourse they are always considering what they can get for the #1 pick, as anyone would.
  24. Ya I see the Hawks considering him with the 17th pick, but I hope we don't select him. WOW he can pass the ball. I guess he has to have one positive side to his game, since he can't shoot. The kid should of went to college, because he defently isn't NBA ready. He is already a millionaire, and the draft has not arrived yet.
  25. Yup I see the Wizards selecting Dwight Howard if he is still there, and they can have the option of trading Kwame Brown. We must make a trade, and hopefully it happens. I like Boris Diaw, but I see alot of flawns in his game, so I would mind seeing him shipped out. If we are atleast able to land Josh Smith or Andris Biedrins I will be happy still.
