  1. At the introduction of our draft picks did Landry Fields just put Nate McMillian on notice with this statement. "How Nate uses them remains to be seen" and then he laughs. Am I overthinking this?
  2. I just watched Keegan Murray tape for the first time. He looks like a young Jabari Parker.
  3. Macdaddy I personally believe the Front office knows that the presence of Capela limits John Collins role in the offense, less touches and they feel like they can't justify paying Collins the 25 million that he's getting. Simple economics IMO. I don't think Travis knew that Capela would have this kind of negative effect on John.
  4. I agree Diesel. I believe Jonathan Isaac can and would be a good fit for us. He checks every box for me. He's 6-11 and long and can play both forward spots, is a great perimeter and interior defender, has a decent perimeter game and he has a very manageable contract. Can you imagine a defense with Isaac, Hunter, Murray, and Capela(Preferably Ayton). Orlando has some decisions to make. Their roster is too full and probably won't have enough spots for everybody. I can't see them not starting Banchero because he was the first pick and he's playing for a rebuilding team. With Wendell Carter, the Wagner Brothers, Chuma, Bol Bol, and Isaac. I believe they will lose Mo Bamba (restricted free agent) and Lopez. That's a lot of people, not counting Terrence Ross, and all those backcourt players.
  5. I don't think Mr. Ressler does anything different than any other owner. At the end of the day we would probably do the same if we were in his position.
  6. Everything to this point has been rumors except maybe Collins getting moved.
  7. That was the final straw for Al Horford.
  8. Let's be real guys. If KD is available and gives us a shot we have to take it. Getting KD would give us a legitimate chance at that chip. We can't turn that down. My only question would be who would be that third star since somebody said Hunter would be in the trade.
  9. I have no faith in Okongwu or JJ at Power Forward. We will probably trade for one if we get Murray.
  10. I want Murray but we still need to have that 3pt. threat and that pick and roll with Trae and Clint if he's still here. It's imperative that we have a Power Forward with 3pt. shooting ability. If we trade for Ayton having another shooter might not be an issue at Power Forward.
  11. Paul Millsap, Austin Rivers, Lance "to make you dance" Stephenson, Bryn Forbes, TLC, Joe Ingles, Nemanja Bjelica, Avery Bradley, and my cousin DeAndre Bembry.
  12. Exactly. I hope we're not that team that trades all of there assets for him. He appears to be a great human being but I believe he's overrated. I don't think he's a #2 on a championship team. Definitely a #3 though.
  13. Is not getting better trade offers a John Collins problem or is it a Travis Schlenk, or Atlanta Hawks organization problem? Example: Would John Collins have a higher trade value if he was on the Miami Heat or another popular team?

    Schlenk

Travis has done a good job overall. He has brought excitement back to a dead franchise. He has a really good eye for talent and has drafted well. I believe he got John Collins and Kevin Huerter at 19. Making trades is my main issues. I believe he gave up too much to get Hunter but I understand that was his guy. Going forward, I need better results when he goes head to head with these other general managers/president of Basketball Ops people.
  15. Ready to receive that dog in you as well as your leadership. You don't take sheesh from no man.
  16. I don't want Myles Turner on our team over Capela. I was just making a point of the kind of Center that John Collins needs to play with. I agree Trae is our best player and we should put the right pieces around him.
  17. The Sixers can only blame themselves for losing to us but their best player Joel Embiid had 8 turnovers in game 6 and 8 turnovers in game 7 and pretty sure they still can't find Tobias Harris. They haven't seen him since game 3.
  18. I might be in the minority but I believe John Collins is an above average starter in this league. He is a pick and roll guy who has been fazed out because his team brought in a center who can only pick and roll. That move forced John Collins out to the perimeter area, which limits him from doing his best skill. Whether than complain, he adjusted and made himself a decent three point shooter. John wanted more touches but he didn't complain in public but brought his concerns behind doors to the front office. You give John Collins a Point Guard like Trae and a Center like Myles Turner you would see an increase in his numbers because Turner would be out on the perimeter and John would be able to play pick and roll, which is what he does best. As for defense in the playoffs, no one stopped Giannis and Brook Lopez was just to big for John, he is 4 inches taller and has a longer wing span. I believe the Hawks gave John a fair deal and whoever gets him will appreciate what he brings. John is a 20pt. 9reb. guy with decent defense and a lot of positive energy. Once the cap goes up in 2 years John Collins contract will be a bargain. So the real question is this. If we never traded for Capela (and believe me we needed Capela and I'm glad we have him), would we be saying that John Collins is not a good fit for this offense? We all know the truth. As we move forward and John is moved, I hope it works out for us and John as well. The kid appears to have his head in the right place and I'm proud to call him an Atlanta Hawk.
  19. Was this the offer to us? If this was the offer, I would have pulled the trigger on Dejounte Murray days ago. Then I would have used John Collins in another trade. JSMH
  20. GameTime I would rather have Murray than Beal even though Beal has had a better career. Beal plays no defense and we would have to give up a lot more.
  21. I also agree Supes. Dejounte is a leader and a dog. I remember he got into it with James Harden. Harden got mad because Murray got up in his sheesh and stole the ball from him. Harden got in Murray's face and Murray shoved him away and let Harden know what time it was. That's the kind of we need on this team.
  22. JeffS17, that is a good question. My target would be Jonathan Isaac from Orlando. He can defend on the perimeter and inside the paint, a good shot blocker who can shoot the three. Trades are usually harder when it's in the same division but Orlando has a lot of players on their team who need playing time. You have to start Banchero so we might be able to send Kevin Huerter and maybe a 1st or 2 seconds. He has an injury history like John Collins but he would add defense and legit 3point potential from outside.
  23. JayBirdHawk, I didn't answer the question. I like Huerter and Bogi but I would have to go with Bogi. I think Bogi can be an offensive machine if he's healthy.
  24. GameTime, that lineup would probably hold teams under 100 points per game or at least until the NBA and referees change the rules when the other teams start complaining. I would personally want Ayton with this type of lineup because he can step out and make a shot and it would keep the lanes for being to clogged up.
  25. Supes good point, the weight could be an issue, but it helps Trae in so many ways. Not having to score and do everything. Happy belated birthday my friend.
