  1. GameTime, I wouldn't call it a risky investment. IMO, there's no more development with Bogi. When healthy Bogi is that guy who we saw during that playoff run last year. I believe Bogi did the right think by having surgery, he probably should have got it done last year. I don't mind Bogi starting but if we get Murray, he would be the perfect third guard in a rotation with Trae and Murray. That's if we can get Murray without being fleeced by the Spurs.
  2. Supes I believe Dejounte Murray would be a great fit, if he's a legitimate 6-4. Honestly, most of the best Shooting Guards in the league are very similar in size. Kyrie: 6-2 Harden: 6-5 Lavine: 6-5 Beal: 6-2 McCollum: 6-3 Brown: 6-6, might cause some issues but only is two inches taller. Booker: 6-5 Herro: 6-5 Thompson: 6-6 Mitchell: 6-1 The best part about Murray is when we play teams like Charlotte. He could guard LaMelo and Trae could guard Rozier.
  3. Wurider05, I've wanted to trade for Ben Simmons since last summer but know I don't think it's worth the risk. The mental issues which I don't want to get into because I respect that man's struggle. But the back issues and missing an entire season with his salary will cause me to take a hard pass. I don't think the Hawks can take that risk.
  4. I can't believe it Chris, I understood why we traded Cam Reddish and it still hurts, but yes, it looks like we dodged a bullet. I believe this guy will still be a superstar if he can bite the injury bug. Cam needs a fresh start (young, losing team)where he can put up big numbers and develop. Unfortunately for him he played on two teams with plenty of depth at his position. I'm praying for the kid though.
  5. I'm still skeptical about this trade because we still haven't heard anything from Woj. or Shams so if this deal is truly legit I would be willing to give up J.C., OO, and at least 2 firsts, maybe 3. Murray is the best fit for our team and sometimes you have to overpay to get what you need. Sometimes IMO we get too attached to certain players but we have to face this fact: It's all about getting that chip. Trae is our Superstar and we have to put the best pieces around him that will give him and us success.
  6. That's what I'm hoping far too JTB. Somebody on a podcast said a sign trade with Ayton would not only have to include Capela but we would also have to send out 10 million more to make it work. Can anybody verify the money situation?
  7. While the NBA Mock Draft on ESPN, Jay Bilas said Dyson Daniels has grown two more inches and is now 6-8.
  8. No disrespect Supes, I would definitely love to get Ayton but I still don't think we're losing Bogi and Huerter. We might as well get ready to see Trae ride out if that's the case.
  9. I've been hearing all the reported rumors about us trading Huerter and Bogi. They are part of the reason why Trae is so successful, they give him room to operate. I understand moving one of them but moving both and not replacing them with perimeter shooting will only close up the lane for Trae. No disrespect to any of you guys in the know but the Hawks IMHO are not doing that. The NBA is a perimeter game now and everybody wants shooting and defense and we're giving up our two best shooters other than Trae. I just don't see it happening.
  10. Guys, do you all believe the Bradley Beal to L.A. Lakers rumors. I've been hearing these rumors all day. No, I'm not an insider.
  11. MarylandHawk, lets get the whole gang back together, why not bring back Lloyd Pierce too. That would surely add to the craziness.
  12. My Hawks lineup next year: Trae, ? Bogi, Oladipo Hunter, Johnson T.J. Warren, Saric Ayton, OO
  13. In: Ayton, Victor Oladipo, T.J. Warren or Jonathan Isaac Out: Capela, Collins, Huerter, 2 future firsts
  14. Guys, this series with Miami reminds me of our overreaction to the New York Knicks series years ago. We had tired legs and got destroyed by Latrell Sprewell and Allan Houston. Steve Smith and Mookie Blaylock looked old and washed up but if I'm not mistaken had just came off of a brutal series just before that one. The front office panicked and traded Steve Smith for J.R. Rider and got rid of Mookie and drafted Jason Terry. Those moves set us back for years. This off-season looks eerie similar and let's hope that Travis and Landry don't panic and make a move just to make one.
  15. Thanks AHF for changing my subject name. I certainly don't want to disrespect or dishonor anyone. I have to more responsible with that.
  16. Supes, I agree with you. I was just trying to make a point about trade rumors. Why they always have to favor the other team and never in our favor and how it affects us as fans. And RandomFan, I actually started the (TITS) moniker on this site about 5 years ago.
  17. I would rather have AD than Gobert everyday of the week. Trae could revived AD's career. AD if healthy can bring us offense and defense. You can also start OO next to him. The Late Show should be broken up. If LeBron, AD, and Russ stay healthy they're still not a championship team. They wouldn't survive the 2nd Round of the playoffs, might as well blow it up. They are just prolonging their rebuild. Just my thoughts, but you have to at least give them a call.
  18. Come on TITS, don't let Danny Ainge fleece us. The rumored trades are awful and I want no part of Mr. Gobert. We need another star player but Gobert isn't it. If we're going to trade Collins, Capela, and pick 16, we might as well add to more 1st round picks and go after AD.
  19. If these scenarios are true about us sending Capela, Huerter, and #16 for Gobert and trading John Collins for #7. Trae Young will be asking for a trade before the Allstar break. A lineup featuring Gobert, OO, Hunter, Daniels, and Trae has the Miami playoff series written all over it. The front office would be in a lot of trouble. The reason why Utah failed in the playoffs was because teams went to small ball lineups to keep Gobert on the sidelines. That wouldn't change by him coming to Atlanta. He also struggles against Embiid because he doesn't have the necessary footwork to guard him on the outside, same with Giannis. Just shaking my head and praying these rumors are false. The better choice is Ayton is we have to go the new center route.
  20. I hope we said no if this is true. I'm not a fan of Gobert. He would be a problem during playoff time because teams would go small and force us to not play him and his contract is an albatross. I would pass on Gobert.
  21. My bad, just Atlanta: Starters: PG Trae, SG Lou Hudson, SF Nique, PF Kevin Willis, C Dikembe 2nd Team: PG Pistol Pete, SG Joe Johnson, SF/Steve Smith, PF Dan Roundfield, C Walt Bellamy Third Team: PG Mookie, SG Joe Caldwell, SF John Drew, PF Al Horford, C Zelmo Beaty Honorable Mention: PG Doc Rivers, SG Richie Guerin, SF Josh Smith, PF Paul Millsap, PF John Collins, and SG Eddie Johnson. DR. J should be on this team but the NBA snubbed us. Can you imagine a team with The Pistol, Lou, and the Doctor making house calls in the "A"? To this day just still shaking my head.
  22. This was really tough. My top 15. PG Trae Young, SG Lou Hudson, SF Nique, PF Bob Petit, C Dikembe. My bench: PG Lenny Wilkens, SG Pistol Pete, SF/SG Joe Johnson, PF Zelmo Beatty, C Walt Bellamy, SG/SF Steve Smith, C/PF Al Horford, PF/C Kevin Willis, SF/SG Cliff Hagan, and PG Slater Martin. Honorable Mention: PG Mookie Blaylock, PF Paul Millsap, SG Jumping Joe Caldwell, PG Doc Rivers, Easy Ed MaCauley, Clyde Lovellete, and SG Richie Guerin. Some of these guys on my honorable mention list were Hall of Famers.
  23. TRW

    LOU WILL

What happened to Felipe Lopez? He was supposed to be the next guy out of New York City. Good list though.
  24. TRW

    LOU WILL

Yes, Dwight was a bad man also. His point guard Crittendon was serious too. A 6-5 playmaker.
  25. I think Collins is better than Julius Randle. Randle had one great career year as a player and now he's the best thing since slice bread. He was just an average Joe before that one season.
