I'm keeping Porter there (top 5) until the combine. If he looks bad there he is coming back to Mizzou imo so I'm basing this on him doing well there but as stated I'm worried.

My biggest worry is Porter jr and Porter decide to go back to school and we fall to 6- which is becoming more and more of a possibility.

I think Bamba goes top 5 (I think he would best fit in Chicago). Regardless he will be a solid NBA big but definitely not someone I'm excited about on the level of Ayton or Doncic.

Brandon Mccoy maybe interesting as a project (I've said I love the idea of baby porter). I like Okogie on tech if he comes out (7'0 wingspan at 6'4) as well as someone like Duval who has kinda looked overwhelmed at times but still has some nice tools if he can figure it out. If we fall out of top 5 (Luka, Ayton, Porter, JJJ, Bamba) I would go Bagley, (Trae Young don't love him but got to take the flier at this point) then I'd be cool with Knox if we fall to 8 atm. 9 would be Wendell or Sexton I guess.

I like Knox with this draft not having a ton of wings but Idk if he is one or a stretch 4 reminds me more of Tobias Harris than PG13. That maybe a little ambitious in my eyes. PG13 is one hell of a perimeter defender.

Mikal Bridges, Mo Bamba, or even Kevin Knox this year! can't wait for RJ Barrett 2019!

I'd throw Tatum up there too, however multiple draft guys said even before the year started if Fultz and Lonzo were in this years draft that Fultz would be borderline top 5 and Lonzo would be outside the top 5 so this class is stronger at the top than last year I think most see that too. yeah Pacers seemed like a lock to be a loss too.

Doncic is my guy. I agree it is a deep draft I just think that Ayton and Doncic have high floors and potentials.

The Hawks should have just thrown the ball away for all I care hawks finishing at best 4th could easily see us falling to 7ish.

1 Don't EVER compare the Spurs that lost David Robinson to what has happened to the Grizzlies again. The Spurs won 59 games the year before winning 20 they may have won it WITHOUT Duncan. 2 The hawks would not be picking top 3 with Sap and Howard (We may not land one without them). 3 A top 3 pick rarely produces to the level of a championship (Duncan and Magic the last time I'd guess) and unless Doncic, Ayton, etc prospect is on that level this makes no since. I have accepted we need to bottom out the roster because we messed up when Sap should have been traded thats when we had the opportunity to stay relevant without bottoming out.

That Wagner comment is why I value Jontay Porter with the Wolves pick should it convey. He would fit well with collins with the 3pt shooting. we have time to progress him defensively as well because he graduated high school early.

5 years is unrealistic how were the hawks winning a title in the next 5 years by keeping Sap around. Schlenk may or may not be a good GM you are judging him way to early 95% of the fan base agrees with the letting go of Sap instead of paying him 90 million and if you let him go you aren't a playoff team regardless so lose hard.

Give an example of a team going from where the hawks were to a championship. There are plenty of examples of a team drafting their superstar that led them to a title.

So you don't want championships how was that old roster ever winning anything. At least if we get young and inexpensive and nail a couple draft picks we have the chance of attracting a major free agent and winning a title.

Hawks pick up several high end prospects and are a nearly 50 win basketball team come 2023 with cap space to sign free agents due to rookie deals and the cap flexibility and somehow when year 2025 comes around the Atlanta Hawks win an NBA title you would be on here complaining "The rebuild was a failure because the Hawks did't win fast enough!"
