Thibs notoriously runs with his guys. Run em down. While I can’t say roses, deng, Noah all above average guys that he wrecked. Sad really.
  2. And that’s where I draw the line with him. It’s not close as some make it and race has nothing to do with it at least to me. He’s a low ceiling guy for me. Hell I would kill for reddick a couple years ago.
  3. Yeah if there is a player to avoid he’s at the top of my list.
  4. Ayton to two and everybody slide down one. I hope Atlanta is fooled by young I would take bad back porter over him. That is fools gold.
  5. I agree plus I like some others better. Than his game.
  6. That’s the one prospect I hope we avoid. Don’t care much for him. With that said seems like someone bud and co would target but Schlenk I don’t know.
  7. Wouldn’t mind Jaren but yeah if that’s what the hawks do with the other picks that would be a let down.
  8. They are approaching cap hell. Jokic will enter restricted free agency and if I got cash. I might shoot for the moon with him.
  9. The only thing you are right on is that they will target some veterans. Who cares if is year 2 or five they are on a better path than that middle build crap. Currently 31-36 that’s a lot of hopelessness. They got money they will be fine as long as they don’t do something foolish. And technically this is only Magic’s 1st -2nd year at the helm can’t really throw that other mess on him as that was a totally different regime.
  10. So by being a maxed out team how would you have improved. And if Wesley Johnson is our savior good lord. Deng was run down plus didn’t deng already forgo the hawks to go to Miami. The ferry comments didn’t come up till after. But my point stands you weren’t winning nothing with either one of those guys.
  11. Lakers trajectory is ever so higher than ours whether they strike in free agency or not. Plus anybody would be lying if they said that there would not be a slump. Kobe was that franchise and with him getting his money and not being exactly a great teammate there was nobody to carry the torch when his body finally broke down. That said. They could be in the hunt next year if they sell off the assets the end collected. The Lakers were trying your middle build idea giving albatross contracts to guys like deng and mozgov hoping to compete. It back fired big time on them because of simply suck or age and injuries.
  12. Well for one they went to those teams because they had money and picks to get better. Answer me this legimetly. The hawks won sixty games and didn’t get so much as a sniff from guys in FA. You are right that the Lakers couldn’t sign anybody but they tanked and anybody says otherwise is lying. They then shipped that talent to acquire guys like kuzma and Lopez for Russell. There problem is going to be patience it’ll prolly cost them chasing the big names when they should more so focus on internal growth from the guys they have and add in guys that more so fit that timeline. Only time will tell. Actually I’ll correct myself the Celtics didn’t have space this year they shipped out guys the acquired in trades to fit Hayward. Schlenk tried to do that but no by bit on bellineli, Dedmon or illysova.not that I could blame them.
  13. Kyrie is obviously there star. But what did they accumulate to get kyrie. And better yet who is coming up big for them two lotto picks in Tatum and brown. Although not a lotto pick Rozier ( he was acquired in ther short tank season. Marcus smart a lotto pick as well.
  14. For one you would have to have a star to attract something not over paid role players.
  15. Lol at least you are consistent. But any ways guess who’s been come along granted he had a rough start to the season. That would be mr Jackson. I would take him now on the hawks over many of our g league additions and some of our vets. Wiggins and booker the previous administration would do back flips over if they were on the hawks. I’m not worried about either because they are young and have time to figure out the game. Kobe Bryant and others must have really been a buzzkill for you huh.
  16. They have a system. It’s call accumulatingas much talent around booker. It wouldn’t surprise me if they are 10 games better next year when not actively tanking. Next you’ll go on about Jackson being a bust when the kid is really coming along this year.
  17. Actually Phoenix would be ideal. Chandler while a shell of his former self would be a great defensive mentor for him. For some reason Len never looked like much At all of a future nba player but I contend he shouldn’t have been draft anyways especially as high as he went.
  18. Despite the turmoil that is Arizona’s season kid has lead them to ship in dominat fashion might I add. He will be fine. Maybe the problem is taking suspect players like wings and pgs that offer no d.
  19. I wasn’t around then but been a hawks fan and I can tell you I wanted any pg in the draft besides Tyrone lue garbage ass.they were flip for Cap space and future considerations which were bunged which allowed the hawks to acquire milsap and co. Mike Scott and co made some contributions but hardly moved the needle much for you and secondly.
  20. People won’t admit it but #1 was especially the case for horford. If a guy tells you they plan to test free agency before the trade deadline you prolly should entertain trading them because at the end of the day they are looking out for the own best self interest. Which they very well should have. Milsap is trickier because he wanted to get paid and his age is very against him. But point remains trade em.
  21. Nobody is saying a young team will win it or is the end all. This is the reason you here embid publicly calling for LeBron to join them. The point is you have to have good to almost borderline great players that either guys want to play with or that you can sell somebody on to offer you something for said max guy for. Unfourtanetly you anti tankers are confusing the two. The truth is this is the hawks own doing yes we whiff badly on players even when winning we would take marginal guys at best (Jenkins) instead of taking guys like Middleton and draymond. Knowing good full well how those players would probably turnout. And often over judge talent on our own end prolly wasn’t wise to sign Bazemore to the 17 mill and escalating contract or maybe after trading korver go ahead and ship Paul instead of saying no we are completing now.
  22. Childress and Sheldon were bad picks, so was acie law and countless others. Many of them were flipped for players that helped the hawks get to the winning side of things. Marvin wasn’t a bad pick he just should not have been picked by the hawks.
  23. Lol. Illy was traded for bud bud and Wes. He just resigned him in the hopes he could flip him. Dedmon has been great but prolly isn’t a long term answer. Belli was acquired along with plumlee in the Dwight trade who was bought in by bud and Wes. An unhappy Dwight which is where that was headed was moved. Schlenk did the best he could with what he had which was nothing.
  24. The hawks have cap space. Not everybody will be resigning with current team. Shift through some of that and you will run into some decent guys. Yet none of those guys are there now save for horford. Yes the traded for crowder and Isaiah on cheap deals that their teams realized was prolly going to be an overpay. Ironically Seems to me Boston did what Atlanta tried to do with bellineli and illysova. Teams just weren’t fooled because they are afterthoughts after the after thought. No shame in that and the hawks had to spend the money somewhere besides throwing it to a pf who is good but prolly will get worse in passing seasons.
