  1. I posted his radio interview earlier from 92.9 The Game in the mega thread, but I thought I would create a thread specifically for the question asked in the thread title: Listen from the 8:30 mark (it's worth it): https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-hawks-now-have-a-very-long-list-of-players-to-interview/id634968189?i=1000655458535 Highlights (not verbatim, so apologies, but best if you listen) 1. There will be some alterations 2. Consider cost of #1 pick vs #10 and how you navigate the difference in salary 3. Want to spend more but consideration must be given to the new salary cap structure. 4. Given green light to spend 5. If there is a problem with spending, look at him first and not the owner Thoughts?
  2. This^. Trading for picks back is not a value add. All it's saying is we intend for those picks to be bad, ergo Hawks bad, we'd suck to end up in the lottery. Here's a secret, the NBA just gave us our shot at the #1 pick...we aren't getting another one, we'll more likely be Detroit winning 17 games and ending up with pick 5.
  3. We've been trying to trade CC in forever and a day....getting #1 shouldn't alter the approach to the current roster retool. I don't want to hear...we added Sarr and that's the end of our offseason for the front court.
  4. Then saying it has no real value without some suggestions.
  5. Combine: Who came in shorter than expected? Who had terrible wing span measurements? Who had great surprising measurement?
  6. Who are we trading the pick for?
  7. Which team wants Clint? And what can we get for him?
  8. Landry Fields radio interview: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-hawks-now-have-a-very-long-list-of-players-to-interview/id634968189?i=1000655458535
  9. These playoffs have just been a cavalcade of injuries
  10. Not only that, you know how things will get turned: 1. Trae says - yeah #1 pick...it'll be Hawks looking to trade #1 despite Trae excited about it 2. He mentions Sarr - it'll be Hawks looking to take [name a player] going against what Trae prefers. 3. Trae know just adding the #1 pick won't immediately change the team's fortunes. It's the entire team philosophy and direction that's more than just the #1 pick.
  11. His eligible max extension is 140% of his current deal so that's a deal starting at $50.4 million. If the takes the DJ like extension of 120% that's a deal starting at $43 million.
  12. Fun times. We were even drawing lines to align foreheads where the hair meets, and eyes and shoulders from pictures with guys with shoes
  13. The #1 pick by itself isn't changing the team's fortune, just like #10 wasn't. It has to be about restructuring the rest of the roster to take the next step in winning.
  14. I have finally caught up in this thread. Thought I'd give myself a breather after last night. You all have outdone yourself. Congratulations .....and then I saw this. I am on the floor, literally.
  15. I'm going to bed. Way to harsh by buzz with tanking talk after Hawks getting the #1 pick. Maybe in the light of a new day, things will be different. I doubt it.
  16. I never said Trae is trash. Anything but. I'm being overly dramatic with the 'trash' but the tenor of your Trae speak is now very different vs how you discussed him in your Edey thread.
  17. You're just making stuff up now. Your Edey dream is dead, so now Trae is trash.
