    Anything is possible if you are dumping salary and not taking much back, but not necessarilyrealistic. I'm assuming the 2024-25 salary cap will be around $145 million. Brown would be eligible for a 30% max so a contract starting at $43.5 million. In 2024-25, Hawks are slated to have approximately $138 million of players under contract assuming no DJ extension, or early signings of OO and Bey.

    Scal is the one that doesn't understand the steps. Brown won't accept an extension simply because he'll make more money by hitting FAcy when the cap his higher. There is a limit to how much he can make signing an extension to his EXISTING contract vs signing a completely new contract as a FA even if it's with Boston. It's the same reason why DJ won't sign an extension to his current contract. They are limited to 120% of their existing contract. Edit: The new CBA may change the extension limits to 140% - $150%.

    Sooo...revisiting. Failed Physical reported and trade on hold on February 10th. Today is March 23rd and Payton may play this Sunday...That is 6 weeks and 2 days! Not 3 months.     Taylor's transparency is cold comfort for the Hawks, according to star guard Trae Young. After the game, Young posted the pool report as an Instagram story, with some comments.     Except the bench has not really played in the clutch, meaning the last 2-3 minutes of a game, they are on the bench. They are typically playing the first 5 minutes of the 4th. It would be interesting to see how they perform as a group to close out a nail-biting close game. ...and Welcome to The Squawk!

    Last Word....Again? You sure now? Here is MY LAST WORD! I gave my opinion prior on 'Kong' maybe 2 years ago. AGAIN, I GAVE MY OPINION AND LEFT IT AT THAT. I have seen it posted on occasion and I have not interjected. I am not BROW-BEATING anyone into not using it on this message board unlike what you are attempting to do. If the Mods make a specific request, I will honor that. If you want to call out other squawkers for their posts/likes as it relates to me and me vice versa 'liking' their posts...again, that is a YOU PROBLEM. But as always, Do you Stu, do you!
